Mill Pond House
Most beautiful water vista teaming with water fowl...a joy to watch. Food is well prepared and tasty; arriving hot. Excellent value! Recently ordered from the winter pice fixe menu and our group loved all their selections. Will return soon.
Tables were packed in we were on top of another couple the noise level was toooooo loud!
Great service, delicious food and a great view!
Everything was fine but I distinctly ordered a half bottle of wine and was given and charged for a full bottle. The restaurant didn’t really make an effort to fix the issue in good faith. Other than that, everything else was good
They were very unorganized for valentines day. Wound up having our 2nd and 3rd courses packed up to go since it took 1hr and 15 min to get the first course out. Hostess initially sat us outside and there was a draft, we wound up moving our seats and the couple next to us said the same thing happened to them. Had no idea who our waiter/waitress was since numerous people were asking if our drink order had been placed yet and if we ordered our meals. I was very disappointed.
Great meal all around. Ambiance, service, food. All first rate.
It was Valentine’s Day so very busy was expected. Prix fixe menu but plenty of options. Food was good but on the cold side. We were seated on the outside room which was full. When we arrived it was heated but about halfway through the meal heaters were shut off. It was 15 degrees outside and seated near water. People all put on their coats. I mentioned to a waiter, then busboy them manager. Nothing was done. Would have been a very good evening it you weren’t seated in a neat locker.
Very special night for us. The Mill Pond was perfect. The food and setting were just right for a romantic evening.
The balcony was actually smaller than i thought but the fairy lights and candles made the restaurant very cute.
We came on a Sunday night for the Prixe Fixe and it was amazing. The food was incredible and the portions were big, it was good to see that they don't lower standards for the special. It was energetic and the wait staff were great! Will definitely be returning!
We've been there many times, even hosted a large party last summer. Food was a good as was service however it is a very noisy restaurant. Not good for a quiet conversation.
We don’t get there as much as we would like but when we do we really enjoy it!
The food is always delicious (we love the sushi) and it’s real cozy there.
Excellent team service, both staff and management
Great service, food, view. A wonderful place to go for dinner with friends or family. I’ve dined here numerous of times, very happy each and every time.
Great service great food. Had lobster at bar with Bobbie a great guy and bartender. Just an excellent restaurant and 5 stars always.
Excellent food and service. Beautiful table looking out on the pond! Specials were incredible value. We were the last customers to leave and never felt rushed. Bravo for a great experience and meal!
Mill Pond House is always a favorite when we are in Long Island. One of the few places with a view of the water, it is a beautiful setting. Sit on their outdoor patio, that is enclosed & has heating during the winter. Service is always good. Food is excellent! My husband always enjoys the seafood fra diablo. I had the short ribs, that were fantastic. Highly recommend. The pre fixe menu is a great deal.
We were disappointed with the service. One of our party had severe allergy issues which were clearly discussed with our server. These concerns were acknowledged and then completed ignored.
I cant believe this is the first time ive been to this restaurant but it won't be the last! Everything was great!
This restaurant was a great find prior to visiting the planetarium! We had the New England Clam Chowder, the Lobster Bisque, a Lobster California Roll, the Mediterranean platter, the Branzino and Short Ribs - everything was exceptional - even the complimentary bread!! We wish we had room for desert! Will be sure to visit this restaurant again! :)
Great food, great service. A consistently spectacular dining experience with a cozy ambiance
Still one of our favorites. Food is always above average, service is also. Not a particularly beautiful restaurant, but the setting is outstanding. Not inexpensive either, but definitely worth it. Good variety of appetizers and main courses. Try it. I bet you’ll go back.
Sushi is top notch. Salads have an interesting flare. Skirt Streak was cooked to perfection. Always a good time!
We sat "outside" and it was a little chilly for one of my guests. Without hesitation they offered to move us inside. We had a minor slip up in the drinks and again the waiter without hesitation took it back and a minute later had the correct drink. No attitude just great service. We had the yellow fin tuna for dinner. I asked for mine black and blue, it was spot on. We also had the boneless short ribs, great. The tuna tartar and baked clams were excellent. Good value given quality and portions. Will definitely be back
Mill Pond is our go to - guaranteed a great meal with excellent service.
Went for lunch. Pretty setting. Prix fixe is a good value. Only disappointment was a limp salad.
Excellent meal - great service not rushed
Ambiance was great! A little loud, but that can be expected on a Saturday night. We had the Chicken Milanese and Chopped Salad - not left much to be desired as they were quite bland and didn’t have much taste to them. This was our first time after hearing great things. We will definitely try again and select different options to see if we can understand the hype.
Great food and service. Very enjoyable New Year's day brunch.
It was New Year's Eve and very crowded but they were off their game. Yes the reservation time was botched, but that is to be expected. But the kitchen was sub par and service marginal at best. The New England Clam Chowder lacked substance, few potatoes and good luck finding a clam. The bread was burnt. When it came to the Duck entree the object of interest was over cooked and dry. They have been better but never really past good.
This restaurant was fabulous! I went on New Year’s Eve, which of course was super busy. We were seated within 10 minutes of our reservation time, which was great considering the amount of people there. The food and service was overall excellent. We never felt unattended to or forgotten about even though it was so busy. It was loud, but that was to be expected on a holiday night. The filet mignon was amazing- one of the best steaks I have ever had. My boyfriend had the coconut shrimp also as an appetizer- which he said was phenomenal. We will definitely be back!
It was New Years Eve so I will give them a mulligan. Pork Chop had to be sent back, replacement was not much better. Fillet of sole was tasteless and tough. Great waiter and a free dessert for our trouble. Not sure about recommending.
We had a party of 4 for an early New Year's Eve dinner. Everything was truly wonderful. We were seated at a table overlooking the water which was lovely. Service was exceptional. I had the butternut squash soup followed by the sea scallops with wild mushroom risotto - all excellent. The other diners in our party were equally pleased. I have never been disappointed coming to the Mill Pond House - can recommend wholeheartedly.
Best neighborhood restaurant you can ask for!
love this place have been here alot food is great waiters are great i go all the time
Great Food Great Service
If you get a seat overlooking the water this is as good at it gets. Great food and attentive service but not over bearing. A hidden treasure - my highest recommendation
Can never go wrong with Mill Pond. Always delicious and service great.
This place is great for a special occasion. Beautiful scenery and good food. Service was also excellent.
