AC does not work correctly, does not work to the point I’m surprised I stayed. The owners just look greedy bc that really needs to be repaired.
The food is mediocre and not worth the visit. The last dish, chap che, the oil tasted burnt, the noodles clumped together, and it was delivered after my companion finished eating.
Definitely not worth the ride out from Reston.
Crystal C--we have two new AC units, one installed May of 2018 and one installed May of 2019. Both are serviced quarterly per our Landlord rules. Unfortunately during 100 degree weather, no HVAC unit can keep up with the heat. Our techs informed us that the units can only cool to about 20 degrees lower than the outside. So no, we are not greedy owners who purposely keep it hot and do not repair our equipment. Thank you.
Food and service was on point! I highly recommend!
It was amazing. We moved away from the area and every time we are there - this is a must stop for us. Service was excellent- food was delicious - and we will definitely be back.
Pork belly and octopus one of the best dishes I’ve had. Smoked jalapeño margarito was amazing. Only disappointing item was the shrimp tempura. Batter too doughy but if that’s how it’s supposed to be then I don’t like tempura batter I guess. Will be going back!!
Food never disappoints! Especially loved the Chicken Palliard and Rock Shrimp (?). Drinks are outstanding as well.
Great food, drinks and service as always. We always bring out of town guests here because we know they’ll live it and it’s unique to our neighborhood.
An eclectic mix of food I am always up for. The waitress was phenomenal with her detailed explanation of our dishes. The dishes were executed well, and could have used a little less oil. Overall good expression of Korean/American fusion.
Three of my guests complained about the amount of oil in their dishes
This place used to be good. Now everything tastes the same and is loaded with salt. Many of the dishes are overdone with sauces. Quality of meat dishes is poor. Don't know what happened to this place, but don't waste your money!
Yes. However the noise level was too much for those of us who had hearing aids. We came early to hope to have a quiet time. It became too hard to hear each other.
Hands down one of the best meals I’ve had in a long time. Gumbo was cooked perfectly and shrimp etoufee was to die for. You can tell the quality of seafood is a cut above the rest. Thad and his family make you feel at home in Louisiana... but your in Virginia!! This is the type of place that we need to keep going.
To Thad and your team: Thank you for an amazing experience. Please keep doing what you are doing. What you are doing is art and it matters more than you know.

We tried Mokomandy for our son’s birthday. The 3 of us ordered Korean dishes. Everything tasted great and Phil was a very friendly and knowledgeable server. Great atmosphere and great food!
Staff was great. Went for my son's BD and shared 8 plates for family of four (not including two desserts and one comp'ed for BD). We left very satisfied, and each bite was as good as the previous one. Will most certainly go back. Oh yeah, craft cocktails were great, too!
The server was excellent. She was delightful, knowledgeable and went over and beyond. As always, food was excellent.
Because of the reviews I'd read, I had high expectations. The prices reflected high expectations as well.
I had asked if I could move our reservation back, and we were told we couldn't move it back even half an our, although we saw two other tables open the whole time. The hostess wasn't very friendly coming or going. We were very near another table, so we could mutually hear everything the other was saying without straining. We tried Bulgogi, which we had eaten at Taste of Korea earlier that same week. We liked the one at Taste of Korea as well or better, and it was cheaper with more side dishes. Also, we ordered fresh cut noodles, but we were told after half an hour it would be an hour before they were ready so we settled for our appetizer and one entree.
Very welcoming environment, quaint with friendly staff. Very interesting menu and good flavors on everything. Lots of DF options! Drinks were creative and delicious.
Phil was amazing and the food was superb as always - maybe the best chicken paillard ever (and we’ve had it dozens of times!). Another fantastic meal. ❤️ Thank you!
I love Mokomandy when it is spot-on. Luke-warm when it's not. Unfortunately this time was 'eh'...not great, not bad. Cucumber salad was bland, fried kale chips were okay, even the jambalaya was not the best we've had there. The potroast sliders were excellent.
Something else we've noticed is that their weekend lunch menu seems to offer fewer and fewer items which is a shame.
Regardless, one of our favorite restaurants. We just wish there was more consistency in its quality.
Great food. Great cocktails. Great service. We will definitely be back.
We love Mokomandy. Such fun and interesting food in such an unexpected location. In addition, Laura was the kind of fun and personable server that so adds to the experience.
We love going to Mokomandy! Always a variety of new and old favorites to choose from. We had cucumber salad, fried chicken legs, roasted potatoes, deviled eggs and lettuce wraps. All wonderful and perfect for sharing along with hand crafted cocktails.
There is a good reason Mokomandy is consistently rated 5 stars: they deserve 5 stars in everyway. Especially the tantalising food. And the friendly staff. I always order too much because I can't decide which yummy thing I want. Highly recommend this restaurant.
service was poor. i get that dishes come out as they are made. we ordered chicken fingers and fries for the kids and it took 30 mins to come out. we didn't order any additional plates of food because we didn't feel like waiting 25 minutes for it to come out.
For a 150$ (Including tip) for 3 people, we weren’t even full. I guess we go there for an experience and not exactly to have full stomachs. Each item was so good but there was not enough for a second bite.
Father’s Day. Drinks and food were amazing. It was a loud in the restaurant but it didn’t take away from the food.
This was my third visit. Service and food was excellent. They were able to accommodate my Son's dietary restrictions. Mandy was working the dining area. They never disappoint.
Food and cocktails were unique and delicious! Perfect shareable plate portions.
Spectacular dishes - the poutine was devoured by our table in seconds - and wonderful service created an unforgettable experience for our family. The veal brisket tacos were a hit and the chocolate pot with lavender and saffron cookies were delicious. We will definitely return for seconds!
Wonderful meal and service! They have a great gluten free menu and are knowledgeable! Also the bartending is fun to watch, since they have very cool specialty cocktails.
Great all around experience! One of my favorite places when visiting the area! Food is great!! See you soon
Great restaurant. I thought it would be too crowded to ever get in but that is not the case. Wonderful small plates and dinners, excellent cocktails! Very friendly place.
The food is fabulous. Such a unique menu, all of which is cooked to perfection and the presentation is wonderful to. The staff is friendly and efficient making you feel at home, and very welcome.
The drinks menu is outstanding to. My son in law had something green with a twig of Rosemary and some other herb and it was delicious. It is a place you will definitely go back to. Moderately priced too.
I love the food at this restuarant!! It's creative and good. I would like to make a small recomendation. I have had the eggs benedict twice, once with shrimp and recently with lobster. Both times the fish had a fishy flavor, as if it was not fresh. Maybe a little extra lemon to take that taste away or fresher fish. All and all I will be back soon.. Another recommendation is to update the seating as it seems to be sagging a little.
great overall and we brought home leftovers so we got to enjoy yet again!
Remains a jewel of small special bites of delicious food.
It takes a sophisticated palate to catch all the flavors.
But from a beginner in the art of Asian taste to a gourmand. You will find a well served meal here.

Outstanding food, drinks and service! It was a perfect date night!
The best! The service, the food, very cozy and comfortable. Best cocktails ever.
The food was fantastic! Love the tapas style and the service was great even though there was not an empty table in the place. I have already recommended it to coworkers.
The menu has a great variety of flavors for every (adult) palette for those who enjoy unique cuisine. We’ve been coming here about once a year for the last 5 years. Our meal was delicious as usual but didn’t blow me away this time like in the past. There was only one bartender, on a Saturday night, so it took about 20 minutes to get our cocktails after we ordered. But they were very tasty! The service was good but he seemed like he too was too busy and could have used more help with the food runners or something.
The place is really small and gets really loud. It’s very hard to hold conversation because of the noise. We really like this place and will go back. But just not sure it’s the same experience it used to be.
We had the wild boar bowl, bone marrow, deviled eggs, Catfish boudin balls, Korean fried chicken leg & Foi Grois dumplings. All were delicious and enjoyed by everyone- even by my 9 year old VERY adventurous eater gave it 2 thumbs up.
Food was great, drinks were great. Servers were excellent. Noise level was a bit too much and it was hard to talk as we couldn’t hear each other. Pricing for certain items was a bit excessive for what was presented. ($18 rock shrimp tempura bites)
Will return, but wish it wasn’t so loud in there.
