Dinner Birthday Celebration
Birthday Celebrations and New Years!
The food wasn't very good. The soup wasn't hot, the Scallops which was their specialty we only got three and you would expect them to be knock your socks off tasty, but they weren't.
They gave us mediocre tasting bread rolls, that you would think in the San Fransisco area sourdough would have been much better.
The desserts were totally unimpressive. The Chocolate Mousse was chocolate pudding and our other choice the ice cream was melted with Chocolate syrup.
Had to request refills of drinks multiple times.
The view was amazing too bad the food wasn't. We live by the coast and go to many ocean front seafood restaurants and Moonraker describes very tasty food on their menu but the execution falls short.
Perhaps drinks and appetizers would have been better to appreciate the ten star view.
Great attentive waitstaff
We had a date night and the ocean view was so awesome. You see waves crashing up almost into the building it’s so close. The restaurant is spread out and conversation is easy...not overwhelmingly loud like so many places. Food was good - we had shrimp cocktail which was well done but spicy; crab legs and soup; and both of us had chicken cordon blue which was done I traditionally and was good but a bit oily. Alas they were out of the dessert we wanted.
Waiter was nice and unhurried - my pet peeve is take away dirty dishes! That almost always happened in a timely manner. The ocean waves and calm atmosphere make it a lovely evening but you do pay for the privilege. Dinner was over $150 with tip and that’s with one glass of not super expensive wine.
Great. Excellent view excellent food and excellent service
Got seated quickly. Beautiful view. Great attentive service. Will be back!
I ordered ribeye and the quality of the meat doesn’t seemed to be the same as the usual.
The server wasn’t as attentive as it used to be, didn’t even bother how the meat was or if it was cooked right to my request.
I’m hoping that it’s just a fluke because I love coming to Moonraker
Moonraker is great in every way. It would be nice if Open Table would ever give me some points on my reservations made through them though!!!! Almost every time they say "this is not eligible for points on your account." Yet they make you use them to book reservations and give nothing back to customers. What a scam and joke. Shame on them!
Food was excellent, especially the Clam Chowder. The view of the sunset is amazing, but be aware that if you are sitting by the windows, patrons from other tables will come over in front of your table to take pictures of the sunset. (Not the fault of the restaurant, just rude of people.). Very casual and comfortable atmosphere.
Try the cioppino its pretty good. Nice place for a date. Dunner for 2 with a drink and appetizer will be around 150 dollars. Great ocean view. Great ambiance
Meet friends and we enjoyed the steak, salmon roll and pot roast. Excellent clam chowder.
Great food. Great view. Great experience. The staff was very helpful and very accommodating.
This was my first visit to Moonraker after a 30 year absence. Completely redesigned decor and updated menu. Highly recommended.
Were were lucky enough to stay close in 2015, so when our travel plans brought us back to the Bay Area we made our reservations. The view is spectacular, the service outstanding, and the food is delicious. We can’t wait for our travels to bring us back to this coastal gem
It was our 35th Wedding Anniversary and we were given an fantastic window booth to watch the sunset on a beautiful night overlooking the ocean! The food and the service were also enjoyable and appreciated!
The view is breath taking, the service excellent, the food delicious. Moonraker is one of our favorites.
This was our first visit to Moonraker. There were 4 of us--all new to the restaurant. We were very happy with the food, the service, and the atmosphere. Of course. we loved the million dollar view
and the way all the tables were so well-placed. All 4 of us agreed that we would return.
We would also like to put in a good word for our waiter, Tony. He could not have been more helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable.
I enjoy this place. Very nice view and good food. The pot roast melted in your mouth. They gave us two pieces of cake for our anniversary on the house. Very nice.
Great location to have a quiet romantic meal watching the sunset
I normally don’t leave feedback, but there is always a time that it is NECESSARY - this is it!! Waiter was absolutely horrible. The service provided was not even rateable as we received none. 30min wait for water, had to ask for utensils twice and soon... Complained to the manager so they could provide the waiter some additional training - she comped us one of the 4 fees, but wasn’t looking for that. Didn’t leave the waiter a tip, but did give the busboy $20 so he’s not out.
What a surprise! Fabulous and affordable seafood restaurant with great views in Pacifica! Will definitely dine again!
The view of the sunset was amazing. Our seat was looking out to the ocean.
A must go if you want a place far from chaos with exceptional view and dining experience. Also, it’s not as pricey as many other high end restaurants. I’m glad that I’ve checked this place out, we drove 45 mins to here, totally worth the hype.
We had a great time on our anniversary. The views are amazing and the food was delicious. I really enjoyed our cocktails as well. They made our anniversary very special.
Nice place and good food. Lots of seafood and wine
Spectacular view, great food.
The lobster could be better. Seems like they might poor butter over it before serving. Otherwise all was good.
The was my second visit. The service and food was excellent. And you can’t beat the views. We were a party of five and shared the burrata, coconut prawns and oysters Rockefeller. Scallops and steak entrees. All were excellent. The wine list is good and reasonably priced. S’mores were shared for dessert.
An elegant evening celebrating our anniversary. Spectacular view of the ocean and sunset. Delicious food, attentive service.
Very disappointing service during our Sunday brunch buffet. We were almost done with our first round from the buffet and nobody came by to even ask if we wanted coffee or something else. We had to request for a server. A server eventually came by. The same server meanwhile was frequently attending to the table next to us and didn't even bother to see if we needed anything. This was the 10am service and we were seated right after opening. It didn't look busy enough for the wait staff to overlook us. On food, prime rib and ham were both dry and tough. Some other choices like chowder and hash brown were good, but not good enough to make up for other mediocre offerings. Sorry, will not be a returning patron.
Excellent food and service. The ambiance was a little loud and distracting for our date, but the live piano was really nice.
Great setting and live music created a pleasant atmosphere for my birthday dinner. The server was attentive and kind. Food was so-so, pretty much the standard fare available at similar seaside establishments. I liked the secluded location. There's also free parking.
Wonderful food, service and ambiance like usual.
My wife, and I went there for our anniversary dinner, along with our 11-month old princess. They seated us at one of those tables closet to the window with the sea view, even though we have a baby that requires high chair, so that was really unexpected and nice of them. This is our second time to the restaurant, the quality of the food is great. Probably one of the nicest meal we have had at a restaurant in the last two or three years, and we usually go to a nice restaurant for dinner once/twice per month.
Good ambiance with live music & sunset
Consistently good food and service.
On a nice day the view is breathtaking.
Our go-to place. Best view and atmosphere around. The food is very good and the service attentive. I love the wild boar pasta, the steak frittes, the seafood pasta and now the cioppino. My wife loves the farm plate and several others. Thank you Moonraker.
