Had an amazing night out with some girlfriends. Loved the cocktails and we shared small plates. Everything was delicious and even looked beautiful.
We sat at a high top at the bar this time. I was a bit worried it would be loud but even busy it was easy to hear each other. Food was great. Service attentive enough but not in your face.
But those bamboo straws... be gentle or just drink out the glass!
Great selection of food. Service was exceptional— we love this place!
Great menu, I love tapas, and top notch cocktails.
Wonderful food with exceptional service in a chic place. Highly recommend
The food quality was excellent, but we were very dissatisfied with the service. We were happy to be seated in a quiet side room, but then a family with two loud toddlers was placed next to us. There were many open tables in the other room, so we asked to he moved. The waitress said we could not move because those tables were reserved. A few minutes later, another couple in our room asked to be moved and their request was immediately granted. We don't understand why we were forced to stay in a stressful room while others were allowed to move. This made our meal difficult to enjoy.
as always the service was perfect and the food was wonderful! For quick tapas dinner and drinks to special occasions Moonstones has always been a favorite!
service from Elena was great The team could not do enough for us
It was an interesting fusion restaurant, but for the prices I think you can get better quality food elsewhere. Also it was a very quiet night, and service was still painstakingly slow, 30 minutes waiting for a drink at an empty bar is ridiculous!
I think Moonstones has a great atmosphere and is fun to go with friends. However, I think its overpriced.
Great date spot.
This restaurant popped up on my places to try list and we gave it a shot seeing as it was a good location for us (we're in Burlington). I'm a big fan of tapas and was not disappointed. The food was fantastic, came out in "courses" spaced out well with only a minor delay in the middle that we didn't really mind. The tuna tartar and scallops were outstanding, and we loved the Chinese beef baos. We also got main dishes, he got a burger which he devoured and I got the mushroom risotto. Did not disappoint at all. Service was excellent. Very friendly, cheerful and attentive. I honestly wish I remembered her name for a shout out! Will absolutely be back and recommend to friends.
Eclectic mix of foods. Everything was good nothing excellent.
Excellent menu options.
Have enjoyed Moonstones several times before and this visit was no exception.
Restaurant had great service and food was very good unfortunately they seemed to be overwhelmed and took over 90 minutes to get all our food and they never made one of our dishes waitress apologized I was surprised a manager never came over to explain why it took so long and one of our apps never got made
Valentine celebration, delicious food as always!
The food was excellent we both had the specials. The food is always excellent here.
I ate here with my little girls and they love it! The staff is great and willing to accommodate a picky eater with foodies.
A friend and I sat in the lounge area for Saturday lunch. It was very cozy and pleasant. Service was attentive. We chose to share a few small plates - Shrimp cocktail, roasted cauliflower, and short-ribs. All were good. There was not a huge selection of sandwiches on the menu. Overall, a nice place to dine.
OK it's pricey. But to balance that the food was fantastic. We had a number of tapas that 3 shared. Nothing disappointed. Thumbs up on the gruyere flatbread, mushroom risotto with short rib, dumplings, spring rolls. The falafel was not my fave but not bad. Our server MIchaela was delightful and very helpful. Our drinks were delicious. We will be back for special occasions and when we're in the mood to share plates again.
The food at Moonstones is delicious and artfully presented. And if you can't drink, they have a delicious selection of "mocktails." I'll be back!
Great menu if you’re more of a ‘foodie’ (which I am) - our meal was very good, drinks were great. Good night out overall!
server could have been a little more attentive, checking in with us a little more frequently. had to wait a long time for things like water and adding to our order - had to flag down other staff to find him.
Food and drinks were truly amazing. Left thinks I can’t wait to go back again.
Service was also pleasant and attentive.
We have been to moonstones a number of times. It tends to be our go to place to bring out of Towners, as its fun, lively and lots of tasty food options. This last visit, we were disappointed. Our friends ordered steaks and had to send it back 3 times. It was either undercooked or very very tough to cut or overcooked. The restaurant simply could not get it right. They were kind enough to take those meals off the bill. We will not rush back there, however.
We went with a large group and got to try many more things than our last visit as a couple. There are very few dishes that we didn’t all enjoy.
When we got there our Open table reservation was not there. They were quick to accommodate us nonetheless.
Bartender is great . Food plentiful and cooked perfectly.
A bit pricey for this type establishment but great for a date or doubldate !
Stuffed French toast was amazing!
Went to moonstones for New Year’s day brunch. I’ve been to moonstones before, quality of the food is always excellent, and while not inexpensive, we feel we get good value for the money. Will definitely be back!
When we arrived a little early we were sat quickly even though the place was busy on New Years Eve. They were well staffed for a busy night.
Service was excellent and attentive just enough. They were able to cater to a gluten allergy with a wide selection of options, just watch out for the fryer contamination (they warned me).
The filet was more medium than med rare but so good it wasn’t even worth complaining. I’ll be ordering the risotto next time. It was so delicious, I tried giving up half my steak so I didn’t feel guilty tasting more!
I didn’t give full stars all around for a couple of reasons, the chairs were a little worn and when you really looked the place could do with a bit of TLC, then there was this odd vibration like sitting in a washing machine mid way through dinner that was really not pleasant.
No appetizers, two full mains, shared dessert and one glass of wine $102.
The food is always good. The wine choices are a bit lacking. I'll continue to be a repeat customer.
Early dinner (4:30) with a colleague. We both enjoyed all dishes immensely and were satisfied sharing all dishes. Loved the ambiance, perfect for conversation. When we left it was much busier and livelier -- looked like a fun place for a Friday night out! We started with arugula & apple salad, followed with tacos carnitas and steak and cheese, and finished with carrot cake. Everything was well seasoned, tasty, perfectly cooked. The server was attentive. Will definitely return.
Had a great tapas dinner with a friend. Food was excellent but waitress was not very attentive.
We had a work luncheon at Moonstones and it was perfect. Nice variety with their lunch menu, the food was fantastic and great service. We will be back.
Food was wonderful. We ordered several small plates, a large plate and a salad and everything was delicious. The mushroom risotto was delicious, short rib like butter, bao buns unique and tasty. Our waitress was efficient and friendly without being intrusive. The ambience is cozy and surprisingly beautiful. Don’t be put off by the hotel behind it, this is not what you think of when you imagine a hotel restaurant—give it a go!
Awesome place! Best restaurant north of Boston, can compete with the best of Boston as well!
We made a reservation for Sat night, requesting to sit in the fireplace room. We received a call from the restaurant letting us know that the room was booked for a private function, but they would give us a banquet table in the lounge (bar) area. I was impressed that they took the time to let us know. Lounge seating was comfy and kind of romantic (a half circle seat so we could sit side by side) but it was a little loud. Service was amazing, very attentive and friendly. Food was excellent. I had the risotto with braised spare rib which was absolutely delicious. My husband had the rib eye steak which he said was very tender and perfectly cooked. Excellent wine list as well, they have a Sancerre by the glass which is not typical. Overall an excellent experience, just a little pricey for a non special occasion $130 before tip for 2 entrees and 3 glasses of wine (no appetizer, no dessert, no extras)
