Morton's The Steakhouse - Toronto
Love Morton’s best steak in the city and best Martini ever! To bad they didn’t let the developers guy it and rebuild. You aren’t going there for the decor.
Excellent service and meal as always.
Great as always. We ended up eating at a bar table so we could watch the Raptors. Second time there last week.
As always, our dinner at Morton’s was excellent. We decided to try the Porter house, the bone-in ribeye and filet mignon, all were cooked to perfection. Truffle fries, gouda bacon potatoes, and sauteed spinach with button mushrooms are all excellent sides. We will be back.
Perfect evening. Good was delicious. Our server Mike was amazing
Great service. The sides are pricey and the baked potatoes were over cooked and dry. The steaks were perfect as was the service throughout the meal.
We always have a great experience but I was worried as the evening started off when they put us upstairs with a large group with many kids. The group was loud. I made this reservation over 6 weeks ago, not sure why they would put us up there and not in the main dining room. We complained and they found us a table on the main level.
Always amazing food and service!
We were honestly disappointed by the experience, as we typically look forward to eating here and have to save up to go maybe once per year. One of our steaks had to be sent back twice because it wasn’t cooked through enough. The horseradish mash potatoes had large concentrations (to an uncomfortable level) or horseradish, despite being promised that the dish was flavourful and not overpowering. Finally, our soufflé seemed slightly underdone and had collapsed partially before reaching the table. The manager voluntarily removed the steak and soufflé from the bill which while appreciated, doesn’t make up for the lacklustre experience.
Food was overpriced and had to send back meat twice for being over/undercooked. My cocktail was terrible. While we were at the restaurant, a drunk man fell down the stairs and paramedics showed up.
Instead of the restaurant sending him on his way to the hospital, a server brought him a debit machine and made him try all of his cards, which were rejected, one after the other. This was a painful dining experience. Go to Barberians or Jacobs, not this place.
The overall night was exceptional. Staff were friendly, accommodating and efficient.
Food was on point, followed directions very well. Very enjoyable evening!
Christmas dinner with the family
The best pigging out ever!
Always great service and food.
If you’re looking for a good steak, this is a good option. Service was mediocre, ambiance was tired but the food and company made for a nice meal.
We come to Mortons, often, we usually love the food... Unfortunately our fillet 's came out very over done.. we had asked for medium & was cooked at well done... Didn't enjoy........
Service was great, our server Brayden was great! Made my moms birthday one to remember! Loved the personalize menu we received!
The meat was too salty inedible and the French fries were not tasty at all. I prefer the shoestrings. I am a repeat customer and. Was there to celebrate 2 close friends birthday. Was not great. Barely got thru the first steak of the 2 we ordered. Didn’t touch the second.
Steaks were undercooked or overcooked
It was my husbands 30th. They had customized menus ready and offered free dessert!! Absolutely amazing!
My birthday with my family so outstanding
Service was exceptional! Food fantastic! Great night!
Good good. Attentive service. Premium prices.
Food and service were excellent just finding it so loud!
The entire team from the Managers to the waitstaff did a great job. Steaks were perfect. Carrot cake is the best in the city.
Beautiful setting. It was intimate and quiet. Service was excellent and food was superb!
The first course was very good. Our waiter was also very good, but steaks (which were good but not great, for a steakhouse) arrived without sauces and the potatoes gratin side dish. When the potatoes showed up 5 minutes later, they were not just cool, but actually cold, as in refrigerated. Tthe waiter sent the manager over, ostensibly to apologize and make amends. The manager took the 2/3 empty serving dish away and brought it back, presumably reheated. We had more or less finished our steaks by this point. I had expected that maybe he would have brought a new dish, as the serving of potatoes on each of our plates was not edible (seeing as they didn't reheat themselves while sitting there), and heating up the 1/3 left in the dish wasn't really an approach I would expect a diner to take, much less an expensive steakhouse. So, I explained politely to the manager that this approach was not really acceptable and nor was it acceptable that we ate our steaks without a side dish. He asked me what I wanted him to do. I should not have to negotiate in this situation. He should have a) apologized, taken our steaks away, hit reset and brought us a new main course when the problem first arose, or b) apologized, comped our bill without hesitation, apologized again, and offered us some sort of incentive to return. Instead, he looked annoyed, walked away, comped the main course, sent the waiter to tell us, and didn't acknowledge us leaving. How does this guy have a job at a fine restaurant? The waiter seemed mortified. We tipped him as though it was a good meal. Not really his fault, even though he did allow the manager to step in and screw it up. Hopefully he will take care of things himself next time. We won't return. Really disappointing experience and with so many great steakhouses in Toronto, we will exercise other choices from now on.
High calibre product, attentive staff and great service always provide for a lovely evening at Morton’s.
Very expensive. The steak was lovely but the vegetable were very expensive for such a small portion and they were only warm...
staff were all excellent
Everything was better than expected....
My husband’s favourite restaurant....
If you like noise so you have to yell to be heard, order your steak medium rare and it comes medium well, and pay 3x the cost of wine at the LCBO - Morton’s I’d your place.
Best service - Dee
Everything was nice.
Definitely a nice place for occasions. They have a birthday menu which I found so cute. Nobody really has that lol. The service was overall AMAZING. They never forget you and make sure you are satisfied! Food was very good!
Great menu and excellent service. Our server was impeccable and didn’t miss a thing. Thank you.
Amazing. I always enjoy my time at Morton’s
$300 for 3 ppl and just one glass of wine no dessert or coffee. Plus we shared steaks.
I have dined at Mortons all over the USA and the Toronto location is the same great quality but the most expensive (even more than NYC or LA).
Prices need to be adjusted.
