Not Your Average Joe's Norwell
Love the bread and dip
Our go-to restaurant. We always have a great night there!
Excellent in all ways!
NYAJ Norwell is a “go to” restaurant for me. Consistently good food. I chose the steak wedge as an entree. Steak cooked perfectly as ordered and was delicious and tender. Wedge salad very good. My dining companion ordered the meatloaf which was very good. Carrots that accompanied meatloaf could have been cooked a tad more but both my companion and I prefer vegetables crunchy so it worked out ok.
Our server, Linda, and others were pleasant and attentive. The spaghetti squash mushroom bolognaise was delicious as was the Peanut Butter Thing for dessert. Using an email coupon was great, too!
They should have nightly specials as their menu never changes!
Food was great but they the out our Doggie bag. They offered to cook another meal but we had to get to a show. Should have taken something off the bill
I normally love NYAJ. I tried to get reservation on Friday am for dinner on valentines night. The only available were 4,4:15, and 8 pm I picked 4:15(not happy) and I also checked off box for special occasions for anniversary. I decided on early one cuz we were going to the movies later. When we got there we were one on 3 tables occupied in dining room. And it stayed empty until approx 5:30, when we left. Dinner was good but our server never mentioned any of the specials which were on your website. No one ever mentioned the “anniversary” and my dessert took forever to bring to the table! It was a bad night all around except for the food
Food was fine. Service on the slow side. I would go back.
Our waitress was great but trying to pay took FOREVER. I went to dinner with 3 friends and we told our waitress at the beginning before even placing our drink order that we wanted separate checks. When she brought us our checks all the prices were wrong but the food was right. After adjusting the prices somehow all the checks were now wrong. It took her 6 times to get our checks right causing us to stay 30 minutes after they had closed. We all only ordered a drink and entree and even offered after a few attempts to just pay on one card instead but she insisted on getting them right, which we appreciated, but took at least an hour for us to pay.
Went for brunch - only 3 items in the menu . French toast was ok but not Avery large portion. I have been to NYAJ’s many times and alwYs thought everything was great, this was just fair
I ordered the steak tips at medium rare. I received was “butterflied” and they were medium at best....none were M Rare. Since we were a party of 4...I did not complain. But I was disappointed.
One of the few places we fee safe bringing our son who is allergic to egg and milk. They are phenomenal.
Our group always has a fun time when we meet at Joe's. Wait staff is very congenial and helpful.
We go often.
The bar section is great, good service, proper ambiance. On the restaurant side the service was ok but understaffed. The ambiance felt more like a cafeteria than a dining place.
Wish they had nightly specials. Very nice waitstaff.
Wait staff would disappear for fairly long periods of time.
Fine—didn’t knock our socks off; sweet potatoes were hard
Betsy was our server. She was very efficient and friendly. The warm goat cheese salad was delicious as were the sweet potato fries. My husband had the buffalo chicken fingers. He loves the oil dip that they serve with delicious onion bread. Great night.
We love NYAJ, especially the Norwell location. It is a great place to celebrate a special occasion or just enjoy not having to cook. We went in this time to try the new January menu -- meatballs were fantastic but the cannoli dessert fell short. As always, Julie is our favorite waitress and we always ask for her if she is working. She is absolutely fantastic!!
One of my local favorites.. yummy food and always predictable!
We go to Joe's often and the food is always good and the service outstanding. They are very accommodating taking care of our group.
Table for 4 - only reviewing my own dinner - meatloaf with mashed potatoes and CARROTS. Why did I capitalize the word CARROTS? Well, when the plate was placed in front of me, there were CARROTS everywhere - around the meatloaf, over the meatloaf, and even a little under the meatloaf where the mashed potatoes were. Let's just say, they overdid the vegetable. The meatloaf was 'okay' - nothing to write home about. Maybe it was a little too crusty on top and that's why they covered it with the carrots. Anyway - ate a bit but didn't take home the majority left on the plate.
Do not ever order Prime Rib there....it was terrible and pricey at 32.00....not worth it
We usually have a good meal here, but this time the stake, ordered as "medium rare, with the emphasis on rare", was way over cooked.
Excellent experience! Food and drinks were awesome!
Great holiday lunch for our work team! The entire group enjoyed their meals, and it was very reasonable.
We were running late for our reservation, but the restaurant still accommodated us. In addition, we needed to be in and out in a bit less than an hour.
Our waitress did a great job of getting our orders in and everything came out timely and was as expected.
Lots of choices on the menu so something for everyone. Very attentive waiter!! Great meeting spot for friends. Didn’t feel rushed.
The restaurant was fairly noisy and not very crowded. The food was good, and the service was decent. This is almost always a comfortable choice.
The service was excellent. It was a very busy night yet there was always someone to check we were comfortable and had what we ordered. The food I would not recommend the BBQ Meatloaf which was bland and a bit overcooked on the outside. However, my wife loved the cranberry chicken and the kids meals were also very good.
Over all, I recommend this spot for a good meal and a great staff.
I would only if it were not a night that the Company Theater was having a 7:30 show.
Long wait for food
Best service. Great gluten free options
The bathroom smelled, it was dirty and the service was not the best The food was nto the best
Great place for a family night out with kiddos. Our waitress, Kathy, was the best!
Used to be a big fan of NYAJ. BEFORE the too rapid expansion. They kept everything that was mediocre and dumped the part that was good. Place was dirty, and dead. Go to TGIF. Same corporate food at far cheaper prices.
The short rib on the poutine and in the Ragu didn’t taste very fresh.
When food came it took 10 minutes to get silverware. Never got napkins, condiments never arrived. Some of the food was cold. First and last time for my family. Waitress was pleasant but overwhelmed.
The service started out good but then he became scarce for the remainder of our meal. One of our diners received the incorrect meal but we were not able to bring it up to our absent server. In his defense, he did comp us for the meal. Food was average at best. Jambalaya was advertised as spicy but was rather bland. Unlikely to return.
