Not Your Average Joe's Seekonk
Went for brunch.
Not many choices.
Prime rib was cold and it just came out.
Chicken was dry.
Home fries were uneventful.
Salmon was very fishy tasting not good.
Not worth the $28 per person.
Bacon was over cooked and brittle.
My wife and I recently discovered brunch at NYAJ and I must say that we thoroughly enjoy it. The food is good, there's many different options whether you eat meat or not.
As usual it was not a disappointing experience. The food was good and the service was too. Love this place! One of my favorite restaurants, have never been disappointed with anything that I order and the bread is the best part!
Food always terrific - the steak egg rolls are awesome - the service was fantastic - waitress was concerned but not overbearing - never a bad meal, here
Great service, awesome brunch buffet!
I don't know if this NYAJ's is a training ground for servers, but we have had weak servers the last three times we have been here. They are not sharp or pro-active.
My husband's Jambalaya was barely more than bland. He had to bring most of it home and doctor it up to live up to its name.
On the bright side, the iceberg wedge salads and mustard-crusted chicken were good.
Still one of my favorites, although they need to get back to the basics more often. Food is still good, but my steak tips plated with the mashed potatoes underneath spread across a rectangular plate was a bit much. Also, deconstructing lettuce wraps and making it into a DIY project is another "too much" concept. Please refer to the K-I-S-S. method.
NYAJ's is seldom disappointing. Wonderful dining experience with three under the age of 3. Service, food and drinks were very good. Always a good value!
Everything was good. Service was slow but it was super busy.
The Sunday Brunch Buffet offered a nice selection of delicious items sure to please even the fussiest of eaters. A great cocktail was included and all in all is a great value.
Our server was very kind and sincere.
Great buffet with lots of choices. Would also love individual breakfast items.
The sage-salmon dish was top notch! Just as good the following night!
I expected more than 7 shrimp on the Simply Grilled Shrimp dinner for the price. 😔
Our server was fabulous. Unfortunately she never told
Mostly great as usual, but for 1st time Haddock dish was dry and a bit oily. Not up to its usual excellence. Service was slower than usual as well. My salmon dish was excellent.
Not average. Below average. We had a reservation and arrived early. We were seated immediately
Our table was 15 feet from the entrance. Our waitress was immediately friendly and arrived immediately. Because all of our party was not at our table she would not put the drink order in.
I get it. Laws So our last person arrived... 5 minutes past. Then drinks. We all decided bread and nothing else. No apps. Dinner ordered.
We wait. No more bread. No more drinks. And more waiting.
Our entrees arrive. No waitresses. Food is good. No drinks
Waitress asks is all ok. We nod and she leaves before we are asked if we want more drinks.
Food is good. Drinks still empty. Waitress asks if we want anything and our answer is “the check “.
And she didn’t answer. She brought our check.
We were ready to buy another round.
Excellent meal and service!
As regulars to NYAJ, this was our first time doing brunch. It was amazing! So many breakfast and lunch options! Everything was phenomenal as per usual.
The waitstaff was excellent!
I was meeting a friend for lunch on Sunday. When we arrived, we found out that there is only a brunch buffet or a limited menu. We were very upset but didn't have time to find another restaurant. We usually meet on a Sunday, but you can be sure it will never be at NYAJ's again. We couldn't even get our favorite tomato basil soup, which is half the reason we choose this restaurant. We ordered a pizza which, aside from the crust, which was excellent, Scrooge must have put the toppings on. We could count on the fingers of one hand how many of each topping was on the pizza. A huge disappointment and perhaps reconsideration of using NYAJ's as a meeting place again. It's too bad because we could always count on Joe's to be a reliable, consistent place to enjoy a good meal and good friends.
Peanut butter ice cream pie was soooo great!
Food and service was great!
Cousin brunch at NYAJ! It was a great choice.
We sat in the bar area and were quickly greeted by our server who explained the buffet and took drink orders. We spent some time chatting with each other and enjoying our drinks. And we're not made to feel rushed.
Then we headed to the buffet. There were so many choices for us to decide on.
I admit I took a little bit of many things and all were very good.
There were a few things that I will have to go back and try, like the French toast!
All service staff was attentive and helpful. And the seven of us left with full bellies and smiles on our faces.
Always a pleasure to be at Joe's. Thanks to our reservation, our party was seated right away on a Saturday evening. Really appreciated that. Food was great, and service outstanding. Three of us four had the Jambalaya, which is not only delicious but also relatively low in calories–a real winner.
I got the hot fudge Sundae for dessert. They should change the name to " Bowl of Vanilla Ice Cream with hot fudge drizzle", since that is what it was. I thought it was me, until my friend said to me, wow, guess it's a bowl of ice cream with chocolate drizzle. Everything else in the meal was great.
NYAJ is consistently good overall.
Great place, food and service outstanding.
It was a birthday dinner for my husband- they are the worst about checking in and giving open table points. This is the 3rd time points have not been assigned
Brunch is new at NYAJ's and it didn't disappoint. A variety of choices, from eggs to salmon to roast beef! We tried everything in the buffet and it was all great! Even the dessert! You can also order from a limited menu if you can't find anything you like at the buffet. Highly recommend the brunch.
The shrimp was raw for my daughters meal- they came took it back and we waited for her meal to be re-prepared. The manager came over apologized but felt like it was like meh... they should have either comped their meal, took something off or have dessert. Our bill was 110 for 3 people- raw shrimp is just not acceptable...
Great waitress. Fair prices. Daughter thrilled they had very yummy FF rolls before the meal and adequate GF choices.
Awful. Had a 6:45 reservation. Came in to check in and the host was so rude. Waited an extra 30 min to eat.
We were a little surprised to find that despite having a reservation we still had to wait about 20 minutes for our table. Also, the food wasn’t up to their usual standards. The focaccia bread was cold (but still delicious!) and the mustard crusted chicken was paired with a disappointing side of mixed vegetables - I think it used to come with crisp green beans. Overall it was still good, but not as enjoyable as it has been in the past.
Great food! Love taking company there. And oh that dipping oil with bread. It’s the best!
Only issue was waiting 10mins for a table even though we had a reservation. Food was great and service was as well.
Two couples and an infant. They were busy but worked hard to get us seated quickly, and then volunteered to change our table to get the infant out of the traffic. Impressed by the extra effort. Both service and food were good. A good compromise between Outback and Longhorn on one hand and Chili's, Friday's, Applebee on the other
Always enjoy our meal and drinks at Nyah’s!
