O Steaks & Seafood South
Our waitress was awesome! Great service and food and atmosphere
Downtown Concord is attracting more eateries and thats a good thing. O has bee around for a while now and out of the dozen or so times we’ve eaten here I don’t remember being disappointed. While I usually go for the best strip steak on the menu I opted for the ahi tuna and it was awesome. A lot of restaurants will serve you a tuna steak and call it ahi. O does not do this. Thankfully it is truly loin tuna. No connective tissue whatsoever and perfectly seared rare!!! It was perfect. The tempura fried piece of broccolini was bizarre and not my favorite. Broccolini is perfect sautéed with oil garlic salt and pepper for me. The scallop blt app was also delicious and perfectly cooked. O will remain our favorite for now.
We were at O for pre theater dining.
Everything was wonderful!
Liz, our server, was outstanding!
O's is always a favorite stop for us. I would highly recommend this for a romantic evening or a nice lunch or dinner with family and friends.
The food were ordered was outstanding, I have already recommended O’s to several others!!
We went to O for the second time since it had opened in Concord. The first time we went it was after they opened and we weren’t too impressed, but years later we decided to try them again. The beer selection was good, a little bit of everything. I got the Winnie Sunset mixed drinks; it was perfect and not too sweet. The lobster tempura appetizer was awesome, I would get it as a meal if it came that way. Prime rib was ok, but a bit over seasoned which took away from the taste. Sweet potato fries were the best we’ve ever had and the broccolini was nothing special. The scallops and risotto was so-so. The scallops were way over salted but cooked well and the risotto lacked flavor. We did not have dessert. Overall, it was good. But I don’t think I’d go back anytime soon. The Copper Door and the Crowne (for example) are much better in comparison.
Great experience, Jake our wait staffer was awesome!
It was just “ok”. The server didn’t seem to know much about the menu. When asked if we could have a specific bartender make our drinks she rolled her eyes and said “probably not but I’ll check.” I asked that bartender afterward and the server hadn’t asked him. And the drinks were barely drinkable which is why we specified our bartender preference. The food was good but not anything special. We’ve been here numerous other times with a similar experience. It’s really just “ok.” And the menu is totally stagnant. I don’t think it’s changed a bit since the place opened.
Excellent food, menu, and service.
Pops were a little well done, mac n cheese was cold but they warmed it up. Gave us a free desert but charged us for it.... drinks and meals were great
Fabulous food and experience, would definitely recommend
We had our Valentine’s Day dinner here and loved it! Both my husband and I highly recommend the O & we will be returning!
Not our first visit on a busy night. Overall disappointing. Prefer Lakeport; but, live in Concord so gave it another try. Will stick with Lakeport for special occasions. It's well worth the drive.
Good food and speciality drinks. We always enjoy our night out for dinner.
Food and service were great as always. Our server was very attentive and polite
Had a very nice time at O’s
The service was excellent
The food was outstanding
Will definitely return and very much recommend
The server was wonderful. The dinner menu food was just “ok” for the price. I have been there before for lunch and enjoyed that menu. We will be back for lunch.
Good experience. Wait staff very attentive. Food was excellent.
We were a table of six dining before a show at the Capitol Center for the Arts. The menu is diverse with just enough sophistication to be interesting but not intimidating or pretentious. An extensive drinks menu and strong beer and wine lists also help. We will be back.
Always great service and great food!
My steak had to be sent back due to it being under cooked from what I asked for.
An Enjoyable dining experience in the heart of downtown Concord.
Food was delish and service was great!
Our server was great, as were our drinks, calamari app and my salad! Unfortunately our ribeye had the flavor and texture of a sirloin, chewy and lacking the marbling you expect in a great ribeye. Perhaps that particular cut just happened to be poor quality, but when "steak" is in the restaurant's name and you're paying nearly $50 for it, you expect it to be great every time. Mgmt credited us for the price of an app but that doesn't quite measure up to a $50 steak. It's not a price we'd be willing to pay to take a chance again. If we go back it will be for the expertly mixed drinks and lively atmosphere; its a great spot for weekend drinks & people watching. Canoe in Center Harbor is still our family favorite.
The service was impeccable. Unfortunately the noise level makes it impossible to have a conversation in the dining room. Two of our seven had Salmon and raved about it. Those who had beef felt it was ok but nothing special. Have had better steak at Longhorns. We asked for medium rare and received well done. Would go back for a sandwich on the bar but not for fine dining.
Pretty good food.
The acoustics are quite poor and playing the music to be heard was way too much noise. The server was friendly and attentive without being obtrusive. I had the seafood carbonara. I know what ingredients go into this dish and it should be light to enhance the taste of seafood. My dish was overwhelmed with bacon and in a heavy, copious sauce. I ate what I could of the seafood that was fresh and tasty. The spinach fettuccini was well prepared. Overall, I was disappointed and would not recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a special night out.
Terrible! Reserved table well advance of the evening and we were seated in a room in the hotel next door. The room can be best described as looking like a Hapmton Inn breakfast area. I asked the hostess for a table in the restaurant and was declined even though tables were empty and available. Waited 25 minites for a server to show up at my table and then ordered drinks. Drinks arrive 15 minites later with ice melted as they must have sat at the bar. The servers cadence was off as a new course would arrive before we finished the previous course. It was a price fixe menue for NYE and food had to be mass produced ahead of time as it was dry or cold. Server was indifferent with any issues we brought up.
Horrible experience. I will take my corporate business elsewhere.
We enjoyed diner with friend for New Year’s Eve. The pre fixed menu was well prepared. Good atmosphere great food
Before I start I want to say we have had great experiences in the past.
This time was really loud and although the server was polite and food was good for the most part
It will be hard for me to go back.
They were offereing five course dinner options on nye and I didn’t get my veg the server brought some out and we were charged 12.00 for it. My husbands filet was well done instead of medium so the took 6.00 off (52.00) dinner.
We didn’t leave all warm and fuzzy but disappointed.
There were four of us and drinks we expected to spend some cash but thought over all overpriced.
Amazing food and service!!
I made reservations for 5pm, when we came in the hostess said we were sitting in a conference room (which is strange) she brought us to the room that wasn't even set up, lights were off, tables were not done... She told us to hang on and they would set it up. I said absolutely not... next we went back to the hostess station and waited 10 more minutes which is strange because the main dining room was wide open. I feel if you make a reservation you should be able to sit in the dining room and on time. To be put in a conference room without ambiance was insulting. Food and service was good but the overall experiencing lead us to not do a New Year's at this restaurant again!
Great food, service and overall experience.
Other than the high noise level which seems to be a problem there, this is a great restaurant that Concord and area is lucky to have.
Excellent food and amazing service. A very special Christmas Eve dinner. Thank you
O is always a great choice it is in the pricey side but I tell you the food is absolutely worth it love this place and I will keep coming back. And there specials are always fantastic I don’t think I have ordered anything except the specials every time I have gone. Except the potstickers because they are amazing.
Food was excellent, nice selection of steaks and the escargot was very good
We went to O Steaks & Seafood because we were catching a show at Capital Center for the Arts. Our app was good ...Calamari. I ordered the Ahi Tuna which was pretty good however it said it had tempura Broccolini Which it did but only one piece of broccolini! My boyfriend ordered a burger cooked medium and it was very over cooked and dry. Our waitress spent more time on the party of four next to us which was irritating. She did remove the burger from our bill and that was nice. It was hard to enjoy being there because it was quite loud and we kept saying “what?” To one another. I am not sure we will return.
I really enjoyed the atmosphere, food, friendly staff. We had a very nice evening and will most definitely visit again.
