Overall a nice place to have dinner here. Westlake Joe's has no competition in Daly City/Westlake area.

My only gripe is the ravioli side that is an entree option is NEVER served hot. It's been this way for over 30 years. I gave up sending it back to the kitchen. It typically gets boxed to take home. Problem solved.

This wonderful institution retains their classic cuisine. Our pasta and pot roast was amazing. Drinks perfect and service by Rosa noteworthy. Such a memorable experience. Highly recommended.

Lovely dinner. Only thing is the third party was late and they wouldn’t seat the two of us till she arrived. Other than that, it was fantastic.

The best food around ...Great Ambiance !!!! . The waitresses & waiters are always filling up water bringing more bread . Ask if everything is ok. Just love it there.

Staff welcomed me with my husband and my 90 year old father so warmly. Peninsula in general is losing this gift of equally welcoming restaurant guests of all ages

Fantastic menu to please everyone, no matter what your preference. Food is served piping hot. Doesn't sit on a counter cooling down. The food is so good. We were a table of 4 with four different items ordered. All arrived at the same time. Hot food was served hot, and salads were chilled to perfection. Everyone enjoyed their meal. Desserts are fantastic too.
You can't go wrong dining at Original Joe's Westlake.

So nice since reopening and the food is as good as always. Service, as usual was friendly, prompt and efficient. Get the Butter Cake for dessert!!!!

Food was just fair in quality with large portions. Much too salty. Sauteed veggies were just boiled veggies. I could not say one good thing about our service or food quality. I will not be returning to Joe's.

Great place to gather with family and friends. Classic Italian fare. Reservations are highly recommended, or you can find a spot in the bar.

Generous portions and wonderful food. The hardworking wait staff was polite and provided great wine suggestions. Definitely a great place and good location in Daly City; same menu as SF without the hassle of SF.

When I took my daughter to lunch at Joes for her birthday, it was a big success. There was no waiting. We were served promptly. The food was delicious and the portions were ample. We enjoyed our meal and the server was attentive. I would definitely go back.

Westlake Joes has been our favorite for over 40 years and still remains the go to best neighborhood. The remodeling has just added to its ambience. we really appreciate the fact that they respect reservations and continue to have dedicated and friendly service. Can't wait to return to have the best grilled hamburger in existence.

This brings back my childhood, meals eaten with family. Almost always eat breaded veal cutlet with spaghetti. My husband had stomach surgery and can't eat full portions. He was delighted with the appetizer meatballs & sauce (which became two more meals for him). The veal was excellent - always cooked perfectly.
Plus a glass of wine, because it was my birthday. A fine lunch.

I, for one, enjoy the atmosphere. The people remind me of my father's Italian family.

Original Joe’s is excellent all around. My husband and I enjoy trying different items on the menu whenever we come, or just eat our favorites from the menu, and each dish never disappoints! We often bring our families and friends to eat here, and we will continue to come for as long as we live here in the area.

Birthday dinner before going to a concert in San Francisco. The food was great and the service was quick. Love it.

I made lunch reservations for 8 one month in advance and asked specifically for a table and chairs in the Cascade Room due to physical impairments. I was assured a table. When we arrived we were given a table with booth and 3 chairs in the Cascade room that was much too cramped for 8 people. One place - setting was at the curve in the table. We were told a party of 40 had reserved one half of the room. We had to re-locate to the lounge area where four cocktale tables were lined up with very low lounge chairs. We were disappointed with the arrangement.

REALLY good coffee, excellent breakfast. Service is exemplary.

Had to wait 30 minutes past our reservation time for a table, but after that all was fantastic! Great food and a fun place all around!

We love Westlake Joe’s and eat there about three times a month. The food is usually excellent except for this time. My husband and I split the pork chop entree that we had enjoyed a few weeks prior. This time, however, the chops were much thinner and so tough we could hardly cut it with the knives provided. We still love this place and think that maybe the grill was having an off night.

We love this restaurant. The food is wonderful and the service on our last visit was very good.

There were six of us old timers and they seated us in a nice semicircle booth. (A little bit of an effort sliding in but nothing significant.) our service was excellent.
One criticism, they could turn down the volume on the music or skip it. A lot of us are retirees who love conversation.

Have been to Joe's in Westlake many times and it is always excellent - the servers are so nice and remember their customers ! I really love the weekday blue plate special lunches - my friend and I really enjoy an early lunch with the rest of the "olds" but there are always families too ! And Joe's mixes a terrific cocktail -- thank you everyone !

Original Joe's is a local favorite for good reason. It is always welcoming and well groomed. Makes a good first impression and continues with the service and food. I always enjoy Westlake Joe's!

The kitchen was very busy.., we were there at 10:30 and the were already out of chorizo and sautéed prawns.

Have gone to Joe’s since I was a kid. Since the remodel and new ownership, the ambiance is familiar but so much nicer. Drinks are more expensive but bigger and better. Menu is similar but food quality is far superior. Best improvement, taking reservations! As creatures of habit, my husband and I almost always order the same thing, Joe’s Special with mushrooms and the charbroiled cheeseburger. Does not disappoint. Large portions. The cheeseburger was not medium rare as ordered but still good.
Service is reliable and friendly.

Our server and his assistants were attentive to our requests. We were served our food in a timely manner. The food was delicious and more than enough. Each of us enjoyed what we ordered. The linguine and clams with the white sauce was a bit spicy but tasty. The penne and the ravioli were also as tasty as usual. We always enjoy the spumoni. It’s a perfect ending to our meal.

The ambience and service were amazing. I love this place for its retro vibe.
