What a fantastic dining experience, from the friendly staff to the incredible food and wine options! I’ll be back on my next visit to Chicago!
Lovely. This place never disappoints. The food, wine, ambience and service are all always on point!
outstanding in every way - some of the best good you can get in Chicago, imo
Delicious food, attentive service and amazing wine!
We dined here on Saturday night. We were extremely disappointed not only with the food, but equally as well with the service. The best part of our dinner was our wine selection. We had the hazelnut shrimp appetizer which was fine. We followed that with the gnocchi which was quite bland. Our entree was the short ribs which were gristly, fatty and over cooked. Our server was MIA for most of the night. It took at least 30 minutes for each course to arrive and our server only checked on us once in the entire dining experience. The busboys, on the other hand, were excellent in helping out-filling our water glasses, clearing plates and setting up new place settings. They were so wonderful that I tipped them directly and separately from our server. It's not the most expensive place to dine in the city, but for what they charge, I expect much better food quality and service. We will definitely never return.
I was disappointed with their food. I thought this was an Italian restaurant, but clearly their recipes aren't authentic. Generally also overpriced. They charge $6 for a few slices of common baguette and wipped butter/herbs. I definitely will not go back.
Really wonderful night. Our server was well informed, generous with his time and explained dishes for my gluten free friend. He made an excellent wine recommendation to complement our various dishes from pasta to fish. I was thrilled to find regional Italian food. Most Italian restaurant offer a regional mix, this was focused on the Piedmont region. Portions were appropriate and it was easy to enjoy two courses. (Gnocchi was delicious and I felt the flavors reflected the impending fall season)
Will definitely be back. We were there on a Thursday night, parking was easy, and the restaurant was humming but not insane. (Good energy)
We got here early to try out half price cocktails. The list of 4 cocktails had 2 very boozy drinks and 2 very balanced drinks. It was nice to see the options. I sipped 2 of my friend's drink and had 2 of my own. We sat down for dinner, it was trifecta Tuesday. 3 course meal for $38 can not be beat. I had carne crudo, pesce, and panna cotta. Each was equally amazing. Check this place out on a Tuesday!
This place never disappoints. The wine and food is always incredible and the service can't be beat.
Always amazing. This is my go to place for special birthdays and anniversaries. The food is always inspired and flavors beautifully orchestrated. The staff are always on point and helpful. Thank you, Maggie for the great wine pairing suggestions, and Marcos for attentiveness.
Really delicious. Carne cruda and plin ravioli with northern meat ragu were both outstanding. Nice amaro & spirit list with dessert. Will definitely be back.
A lovely meal. Possibly our new favorite in Chicago. We shared 6 dishes between the 3 of us. Everything was delicious—- a special with scallops, the hazelnut shrimp, a salad, the plini, pasta with meat ragu, and the halibut. We couldn’t pick a favorite. The owner helped us pick out a bottle of wine that matched our taste and it was perfect. We’ve already made plans to return!
It was a dinner to celebrate our birthdays together, my friend and I. The food the waitress barely checked on us and didn’t acknowledge our birthdays and she was aware, not did she offer any kind of birthday dessert. I’ve never had an experience such as this when celebrating an occasion!
This is a great date spot with great food great service and in a fun neighborhood. we shared a few dishes and every one was great and creative and delish
Love Osteria, consistently excellent! We had the ribs, gnocchi, ravioles and the taste amazing, service was great, overall great dinning experience!
Outstanding representation of Piedmonte food. Think Italian crossed with French food, and add wine.
The food is perfect.
Slight allergy misses, but nightshades are a difficult group to avoid so it’s no issue. On that note, the grace with which the kitchen handled plating of the deconstructed dishes were extremely pleasing.
Thank you all, we will be back.
Plin is the best dish. Place gets a bit loud though.
Osteria Langhe is terrific. The food is consistently excellent, and the staff is very helpful. I had a delicious Gavi di Gavi wine recommended and it was excellent.
Always fantastic food wine and service. Love this place!
Osteria Langhe is one of my favorite places in the neighborhood!
The food is always amazing.
I like that the restaurant always has at least one of two solid IPA”s.
Love the sexy and beautiful ladies that fill this gem.
Great food, kinda pricey. $60 per person, incl.kids.
Loved the appetizers, Gamberi Nocciola and the ravioli were very good. Nice wine list.
Our experience was really made by our waitress. She made us feel immediately at home, came up with the perfect (and affordable) bottle of wine, want guided us through the menu.
Incredible - Best meal i’ve Had in Chicago after living here for a year will def be back
Wow.. That was good.
Great place, great food, but very noisy when busy. They need acoustical panels on the ceiling.
Wonderful food and excellent service. We would recommend it to a friend.
Our dinner was delightful. Server gave us plenty of time, the food was excellent and the noise level appropriate for a small venue. Would definitely return.
Always awesome. Been there multiple times and have never had a bad meal. Plin and risotto!
Excellent. I have been there 7 times and it’s always amazing!
I am from this region of Italy and we never ate at home as well as with Also. Grazie!
Somm was fantastic, the mystery glass of wine was so fun, and that was the best Italian cuisine oven had in the states!!!
Fantastic food and great service
Exceptional food and service; this was our favourite meal in Chicago. Will be back next time I’m in town. Also they offer vermouth flights which were outstanding!
The food was excellent and the service was good, however the waiter was condescending, obnoxious and rude for no reason at all. It’s a shame because the food is really very good and we were well attended to. I’m tired of hearing wait staff complain that customers don’t tip well. If they want a good tip, they should consider treating their customers with respect. And remember, tipping is optional. This restaurant has a great chef but it is pricey for what you are getting. If you add a waiter with an attitude to it, it makes it so not worth it.
Best Italian wine list in the city. Superior service and advice. Accommodating. I recommend sitting outside.
food was excellent. Prices are a little high for the portions but the flavors are so unique, it is definitely worth it.
Delicious, inventive menu. Genuinely enjoyed 3 or 4 dishes that were unique/novel experiences. The restaurant does a brilliant job varying classic Italian dishes. In particular, their halibut combined pine nuts, raisins and bitter greens with the fish in a sophisticated and tasty way. The panna cotta with cherries and coke - yes Coca Cola - sauce was worthy of Alinea or some other multiple Michelin star restaurant. The service was a little prickly, nothing major, but they’re not super invested in special dining considerations (no gf pasta). Most of the dishes can be made gf.
