Awesome first visit for my fiance's birthday. The plin and panna cotta were the stars! And we were super impressed by the service and constant attention to detail, expediting, etc.
All around, I had an excellent experience. Awesome bar and cocktail selection. Terrific service from all staff members and the food was outstanding. I went with a small group on a Tuesday night and, to a person, we all gave the experience five stars.
Osteria Langhe keeping it strong!
Solo diner here. By preference, I sat at the bar - very happy with the level of service I experienced there. The bar is a good place to enjoy discreet people-watching - Osteria Lange is small and cozy, so you feel that sitting there you are still involved with the "main production." Good attention from the bartender, my food was brought out from the kitchen by an attentive employee and so it was hot and fresh. I did not feel at all as if I were receiving a "second-class" of service just because I chose to sit at the bar.
I ordered two plates - one categorized as an "antipasto" and the other as a "small plate." (I have to say that I don't really understand the distinctions. ) My first course, the antipasto, was scallops with a white-bean compote. Truly excellent in flavor and preparation. Good portion size, too, for the price, which was just under $20. (Just two scallops, if you're counting, but they were perfectly cooked, and the "broth" was rich, so I thought it was "good value.")
Second course was a risotto with peas, pork belly - and, intriguingly, a fried egg. Again, top quality in taste, preparation, and satisfaction.
Beverage program was very good. I ordered a hearty but mellow Italian red wine, generous pours and reasonably priced at $14 a glass. No room for dessert, but I enjoyed an after dinner Sambuca and coffee.
Family trip to Chicago
First time for me and my wife and it was amazing. The spot was recommended by friends and they were correct on how amazing the place and food would be. This will become a regular dinner spot.
We were 7 minutes late, the hostess gave us a 2 hour time limit when we arrived. I will never go back.

We had an absolutely delicious meal here. The food menu and the wine list are fantastic. We returned recently from the Piedmont area of Italy and found many choices that we had enjoyed there, along with some wines that we haven't been able to find at the local wine shop. We tried several antipasti and pasta dishes along with their delicious main courses of rabbit and sea bass. Service was lovely and friendly. Can't wait to return.

Heavenly. Our service was lovely, from the hostess to the coat room. The food was incredible. The cauliflower flan, bistecca, and panna cotta were stand outs. Can’t wait to go back.
N and italian/inspired food. Also, a veey nice wibe selection and tasty after- dinner drinks—grappa, amaro and more. Fairly small, and can be a little noisy. Wait staff is excellent.

All of the food was great except the sea bass was a bit dull.
Went on Valentines day 2020 and it was a Prix Fixe menu. The food was ok, some of it really good, and some not so good. The Sea Bass was inedible. And the server did nothing to compensate for that part of the meal which we couldn't even eat (very dry and smelled bad). Otherwise, service was excellent and the ambiance was a little too cafeteria-like for a high-end restaurant.
Two meals and a bottle of wine (with tip) came to $250. A bit rich for the product.

Good food. Not special enough for the price. Service was so-so.
Food was sublime, especially the sea bass and the plein (which I could eat 7 days a week). Not sure where else in Chicago serves this beautiful, light, but flavorful pasta. Our server was very busy with many tables but was reliable, efficient and pleasant.
Food was good, which was expected. The hostess and one of the servers were clearly ill. The server was coughing regularly throughout the dining room. The hostess would routinely walk up to the bar, grab some napkins, loudly blow her nose, and then proceed to seat/serve people, all without once washing her hands. Not exactly a sanitary dining environment.
Delicious food, great drinks, good date night or special occasion spot.

Great experience. Food is excellent reflecting the best of Piemonte and the hospitality matched that of that region of Italy. We felt appreciated and comfortable. Excellent Italian wine selection. We will be back
Food was spot on, server was knowledgeable of all menu item's (including wine pairing). Friendly staff, low lit atmosphere (but not so much you cant read the menu). Music was the appropriate volume to allow conversation but not compromise atmosphere. Would definitely go again! Oh and try the Duck Breast!

This place was fantastic for a nicer date night. The food was excellent and the service from both our waitress as well as the maître d' in recommending certain wines based on the food we ordered was exceptional. Can't wait to come back!

Nothing new on the menu. Plin was too rich and didn’t taste good. Scallops were good. Wine selection was good. Overall I am not sure why they haven’t innovated more over the years.
This was my second time in less than 2 weeks at Osteria Langhe and just loved the food and service each time. Friday evening is much different then Monday evening, but would highly recommend any day. Special cheers to Maggie as she was splendid and a pleasure Monday evening.
Restaurant week menu was very good-tables a little close together (slightly cramped).
Visited Osteria for food week Chicago. My wife and I chose one dish of each, offered in the special, and sampled each others dish. The food was great, however for me, the main dish was rather small. The restaurant is a long narrow hall and the tables are very close together. They seam to seat all the women on the long padded bench seat, and men on the chair side. They pull out the table so that ladies can be seated. Nothing fancy here, painted black with sound pads on the ceiling, no table cloths and such. Food was good, but not good for a night date with my wife too tight with the people next to us. I would have felt more comfortable introducing myself and wife and joining them. Maybe the two tables at the front would have been better for me.

Food is excellent. There are food and wine options that you won’t find at most restaurants; the combinations of flavors are imaginative, and the presentation is beautiful. Servers were friendly, attentive and knowledgeable.
