Had dinner with a friend here before a concert one evening and loved the place. The atmosphere was light yet intimate. Staff were friendly and not overly intrusive. We both ordered lasagna (I wish my dinner partner had ordered something else so I could give a broader review of the food here). It came in good time and was tasty, if not a bit fatty. It didn't seem like high-quality ingredients had been used. Perhaps that's what one would expect when not paying a lot for it? Either way, it sufficed.
The dessert, on the other hand - was delicious. I can't wait to go back and have it again. I had the lavender and coconut panna cotta, which was served in a beautifully ornate porcelain cup with a scoop of coconut ice cream on the saucer. My partner devoured her ice cream and sorbet.
Overall, I would recommend people try this place out. It's got a good atmosphere, it's authentic, unique, the staff are friendly, and the food (especially the desert) is quite good.
I was looking for a late date night meal at the last minute, you could easily expect reduced quality with only the hope of a decent atmosphere. I was pleasantly surprised with a lovely meal (I had duck, better half had a burger) and great atmosphere. Plenty of wine and great location central to everything, though O’donoghues is a must across the road.
We were out for a meal for 2 on a special occasion, when we were seated and served our food a table for 4 to our left was turned and rearranged for seating for 6 people. This had a very bad impact on our whole experience, due to the fact we then had the backs of the people seated there in very close proximity to us which impinged on our privacy. Also when the staff were serving this and other tables and people going to use the toilets we felt like we were eating in a corridor due to this table rearrangement. Our evening was cut short and spoiled as a result of this. When leaving we made our views know to the manager who seemed to be totally uninterested in our evenings experience.
I was trying to find a tasty pizza in Dublin, and I got it at Pacino's. I will come back to try other options from the menu!
Had the lasagna and seafood linguine, the food was flavorful and served promptly. The service was slow and hard to find, starting after being seated at our table. Our evening started with a new waitress, we ordered a bottle of J Lohr Chardonnay and she brought 2 glasses of a French wine. Our food was delicious and decent portions.
Went to Pacinos on Friday evening to meet my daughter from college for an hour. The food and service were excellent. The only downside was the space between seat and table is very tight and I’m a size 8. Lovely experience though
Excellent food and service. Will definetly be back.
Very pleasant and buzzy restaurant with good flat crust pizzas and pasta dishes.
Hi. I can’t fault it. Everything was perfect and a really lovely atmosphere which was helped by genuinely lovely staff. We will be back 😘
Lovely greeting at the door by a manager.. swiftly seated and had our two small daughters with us and given a lovely booth which suited us perfectly.
Service also was swift, Polite and helpful.. our daughters food was very quick which was a bonus as hey don’t do well with any delay when they are hungry.
Definitely try this place again when we are in town.
Food was excellent but service wasn't what you would expect from such a top rated restaurant. We had a reservation for 9, left standing waiting at the door to be seated until 20 past 9. No aplogises given for delay. After being seating staff taking the orders very rude.
It was a very nice dinner for my best friends birthday. The lights were a little too low and we could barely see what we were eating but I see the mood and vibe they were setting in the restaurant. The waitresses weren't all that attentive, however the manager or maître d' that was on duty the night of September 6, 2017 was great. He was very friendly and attentive to our needs as well as others. Kudos to him. He is the only reason I gave the service score a 4/5. The food was delicious and we over all had a great time. I would definitely recommend this spot for nice sit down dinners or date nights.
Good food and service ok but if you have did or more people they charge a service charge so sit 4 and 2😁
We Booked a table for 9pm for 6 people on OpenTable; the restaurant called a while later to say they couldn't accommodate us at that time. We agreed to delay the reservation until 9.30, with the staff member saying it would be ready by then. When we arrived, there was no table. The lady dealing with reservations was extremely busy setting up other tables( not for us!) and just asked us to wait In the centre of the restaurant but didn't give a time frame on how long it would take. We eventually asked for any table in the short term and got a table for 4 whilst waiting for the other table to be added. We had to find additional chairs ourselves. We eventually got seated at 10 to 10, which for us was way too late to eat. As a positive the service staff that actually dealt with us when ordering were absolutely lovely and the food was very tasty. I just wouldn't depend on the reservation times at all and there was also just an assumption that we'd continue to wait as long as was necessary. To be fair, if we'd known, we would simply have booked elsewhere, but at that hour our hands were tied. It seems to defeat the purpose of opentable if the available slots are not actually available.
Great food. Good service. Very large portions. They kindly sorted out a table for us in the blind pig afterwards
We had a nice dinner at Pacino's. Pastas were very tasty. Welcome was agreable.
This was my first time at Pacino's based on reviews I saw on Open Table.
The service was good, reasonably attentive but not co-ordinated. Too many different servers were attending to our table, sometimes asking us the same things (e.g. "are you finished?") within 30 seconds of another server asking.
We were pressured to ordering our desserts because the kitchen was closing.
I left instructions with our main waiter that I wanted to pay the bill (while I was on my way to the men's room) but another waiter brought us the bill and my friend ended up paying, which is exactly what I wanted to avoid.
However, the staff were friendly, the prices were reasonable and the food was good.
Overall, we were in great form and had a good time there.
We loved our experience at Pacino's - we were in Dublin for 8 days and enjoyed three of our evening meals there. The food and service are excellent by any standard - the spaghetti carbonara and pasta bolognese were the best we've had anywhere in the world (literally). And, the pizza bread is a must try as is the Irish coffee. We can't say enough good things about this charming restaurant!!
Had a lovely meal on Sunday night. Restaurant wasn't full. Service was great and we were left plenty of time between courses. Food was excellent and plenty of it.
Went there while visiting our daughter. Our daughter's order was messed up and arrived 20 minutes later. The booth next to us was being used to film a commercial which completely disrupted our meal and the service. This should've been done after hours.
2nd Visit to Pacinos and was not disappointed
Staff are efficient and friendly, Food is authentic and reasonably priced and city centre location is fantastic.
Pacinos is a great Italian restaurant. Meatballs in tomato sauce is really wonderful. Make sure you are hungry as you really get a lot to eat-great value . Front of house guy is really excellent, and nothing is any trouble.
Really recommend a visit.
I've been here several times and the food is always good.On this occasion I came with a group of friends and although I changed the booking on OpenTable and left a phone message the staff were not aware and made a bit of fuss when we arrived. It was fine in the end but could have been avoided. Our food was lovely and good value. The atmosphere in Pacinos is always buzzy and lively. Recommended (even in spite of the reservation mix up)!
This was a disappointing visit to Pacino's. The Pizza was dry and lacking ingredients - very poor and tough to eat. They had run out of goats cheese and other mains on the menu. The prawns and pasta were good but 3 prawns was just not enough! Good service and lovely wine but food shod have been so much better!
Pacinos is a great place to go and eat the food is great very tasty the staff are very attentive the cost of dining is first class a would recpormend it to anyone for a great experience in Italian cooking
