Palm Court Restaurant - Arlington Heights

We love the new managers! So friendly and accommodating! Our server was outstanding! Our Halibut was just as delicious as ever. We spilt the Brandy Ice which was a treat! We are long time customers at Palm Court and have always found it to be exceptional in every way! Thank you!
Perfection as usual. Short on words says it all.
This is an old standby restaurant that provides good food and good service. There is nothing exceptional about it but it is pleasant and reliable. I'm still smarting from the last time I was there when the waitress got the bill completely fouled up and was incapable of fixing it.
Great service, attentive server with great attitude. Relaxing environment. Outstanding food, but salad with dinners were on small size. Onion soup was good. I had the pork chops and a friend had the lamb chops, both very good. Will return/
We Love Palm Court. We have been going to Palm Court for years and years, and it is always consistently great.....get a good drink, good service and good food, in a nice environment and nice class of people. It's been around a long time, and we do our best to hope it stays around for many years to come!
This was absolutely HORRIBLE. I would give a zero rating if I were able to. Had reservations and were told we would still have to wait at least an hour. Others who had reservations. Score ours said they had been waiting for two hours. New ownership is god awful. Don’t take reservations if you’re not going to honor them! You probably ruined a lot of Thanksgivings. I will NEVER come back to this restaurant.
We had reservations for 4:15 for Thanksgiving Day. Upon arriving, we were told that it would be at least an hour. Looking at the wall to wall people in every space available to stand, that seemed to be a low estimate. The hostess offered no apology and blamed it all on every table staying longer than expected. Considering we had two children with us, we left and ended up having a wonderful dinner at Chicago Prime who went out of their way to accommodate us without a reservation.
Used to be favorite restaurant. Thanksgiving dinner experience was HORRIFIC! No longer a patron
One our favorite places but I do believe they totally over booked on Thanksgiving
The wait time was good considering it was a holiday. Waiter was attentive and efficient. Our food was tasty as usual.
The turkey dinner was excellent and the portion size was great at well. The canned Christmas music in the dining room could have been turned down a bit, and it was disappointing that there were no points given for their frequent diners, especially since the prices on the regular menu were jacked up a bit for Thanksgiving.
We give credit to the owner for getting us a table with the server we had requested well over a month ago when we made the reservation.
Palm Court has always provided excellent food and service. The Halibut was amazing as was the Beef Wellington. If you are looking for an upscale restaurant with great atmosphere, great service, and excellent food choices, this is definitely a place to consider.
Haven't been to Palm Court in several years. We were pleasantly surprised with the menu and the atmosphere.
Did not honor reservation was seated almost 1hr late
Saturday was very busy......very crowded. They really could of used MORE servers. Took forever to get our food. Overall food was Delicious
Great friends and great food
We're frequent diners at PC and have enjoyed it for many years. The food and service are always outstanding and we look forward to every visit.
We had to wait an hour after our reservation. Some people had to wait an hour and a half. They over booked them selves. Our food took an hour to come the waitress told us she forgot to put our order in. We were bringing friends for the first time to this restaurant and it was a disaster.
They have had some major trouble lately bookings and reservations. They were running 1 to 1.5 hours behind schedule. Please stop overbooking!!!
We came at a very busy time. There were two parties going on so service was a little slow and the food came out not very warm.
Celebrated my mom’s birthday (which I had noted I the reservation) and she was presented with a personalized menu. This was so unexpected but extremely appreciated. My mom was so surprised and felt so special! She also was presented with a special red velvet roll cake and candle for dessert. The food and service was top notch, as usual. Thank you so much for making our night so special and memorable Palm Court!
Everything was great. Food was delicious, service was superb.
This is probably the best place ever to enjoy oysters on the half shell, and the baked onion soup is fantastic. I just wish that they would stop playing recorded music in the main dining room.
Delicious food. Top drawer restaurant.
Always great service. I highly recommend the NY steak, also the martini’s are very good!
Same old same old decor. Rib eye steaks were very good
Worst bread in any restaurant come on already
Otherwise you will never have oyster Rockefeller better than PC
I’ve tried from NeeOrleans & coast to coast
Seating felt overcrowded even though restaurant tot full —-very tight table placement. Service was strained - usually excellent but an off night. Had the lamb special and it was not great.
Bartenders were horrible. I saw one put her hand into a jar of cherries and pull out a handful and put them in another bowl. She did not have on any gloves she was coughing into her hand and was taking cash it was disgusting
service was slower than previously given. seemed to not be as coordinated in the house as in the past.
has very good food as they always have but seemed to be some confusion on the floor in some cases.
Loved the ambience. Booth table was very nice. The piano player was good but way too loud. My husband’s onion soup came without cheese. My mushroom soup was good. The salad was nice. My husband’s filet medallions we’re not of high quality. Our twice baked potato was okay. My shrimp scampi was okay and the shrimp were HUGE. My apple crisp desert was beautiful!! (I took a picture, but don’t see a way to post it here.). But it was short on apples. Our waitress disappeared for a long time at the end of our meal. To be fair, she looked busy and handed our checks to a gentleman who checked us out. Another gentleman stopped by to say hello shortly after we received our main course and unhesitatingly took my husband’s steak back to the kitchen to cook more and brought back a entirely new platter. I think he may have been the manager. The room was warm, which was perfect for my sleeveless tunic. The parking lot was packed on a Thursday night, so some people obviously love the place!!
Consistently good food; diverse menu; excellent value
Good food service food temperature
Long standing customer
First time at Palm Court and loved it! Elegant dining with experienced wait staff. The feel for me was old Hollywood. Food was delicious and not over priced. Will now be one of my “go-to” restaurants.
Had a business dinner meeting. Location was convenient for my client. Location is old and tired. Food mediocre. Service was good — waitress knew her stuff
My steak was tough and on the cold side (bone in ribeye)
Have been a regular diner here since they first opened. Have brought many friends and relatives here. Food and service have always be excellent
We had reservations for 7:15, we arrived exactly at 7:15, we waited an hour for our table, what good does it do to have reservations, when I checked in, we were simply added to a long list. That is not what reservations are for. We requested a booth, and ended up in a back room with a large loud private party with a number of small children, while we love children, we didn't spend over 150.00 to sit and be unable to hear one another. You were already out of two entrees by the time we sat down, our waitress was split between front and back and was not as attentive as she should have been, through no fault of her own however.... we have been to Palm Court several times, each time a wait has been involved, but this was ridiculous...... we are frequent diner card holders, but honestly, not sure I will be there very often anymore.
Food and service were excellent. Was very(Saturday night) busy we didn’t get our table reserved for 7 until 7:25.
We received very good service and food was very good. Ambience is comfortable, not loud noise like some other restaurants. They were able to prepare gluten free, but they do not have a separate menu. The server appeared very sensitive with gluten issues. Look forward to returning.
As always, the food here is excellent. The only thing is I feel it is a bit overpriced. However, you can't go wrong with anything you order.
Wonderful!
