Pane e Vino Trattoria

The team at Pane Vino went over and beyond what was expected to make our dining experience special. They moved tables around, they were appropriately attentive, brought fresh glassware with each bottle, fresh silverware for each course, allowed us to take our time, oh and the food was incredible. We didn't even order off the menu and had the best Veal Picatta I have ever had!

Great, homestyle Italian food for a good price and great service. The only thing I'd say is that the "outdoor" seating is almost indoor, so we were a slight bit uncomfortable given the circumstances - but it was Valentine's Day and we were sticking our plans and so far so good. The back patio - while nice and inviting - is just basically a room with a LOT of open windows, not necessarily an outdoor setting, so it's best to be aware of that going in.

We have been going to Pane e Vino for over 20 years to mark special occasions in our lives. It is a warm and wonderful place with delicious food and lovely wine. We always feel welcome and look forward to many years to come.

Pane E Vino hast the BEST thin crust wood fired Pizza in San Francisco!
Italian Boullebaise (Guazetto) is incredible! Ramekin is bubbling hot filled with seafood. Never disappoints.

Outstanding Italian food. We all thoroughly enjoyed the eggplant parmesan and the seafood pasta dish. Service was excellent.

Very nice service, good food, a tad expensive but still a nice neighborhood dining spot.

It's been over 20 years that I'm a regular at Pane & Vino, and I was never
disappointed about the food or service. It's not an Italian Restaurant, but
there is where it's charms is. It cannot be more Italian than that.
Family atmosphere, friendship good food and good wine.

Everything is good. My cabernet was good. Frutti di mare good. Only home made pasta would have made it better.

Great local spot to have a nice Italian meal. The patio is protected from the wind and is very comfortable. You can eat socially distant from others! Go!

We had a wonderful birthday dinner at the back patio. Carlos as always was a gracious host. We met him when he was a young man serving us here almost 30 years ago.

From the street you would never know that they have a lovely little patio in the back of the restaurant. We had a great little table to celebrate our anniversary the food wine and dessert was absolutely wonderful and the service was traffic too!

It is wonderful to be back at Pane in the secluded back patio. Great food and service, as always. We will return soon.

A great neighborhood bistro. We love it here. Friendly employees genuinely happy for patrons helping them through this difficult period. A happy, comfortable place with very consistent food quality. We feel right at home here

Patio seating is socially distant, wearing masks, and very pleasant & warm.

Their outside patio actually is roofed and just has windows open versus being completely open. I felt it was a little too enclosed, especially with other tables of people around, to be considered totally safe. But food was tasty and service was very friendly.

Great location, both in proximity to the other shops in the Marina and internal atmosphere. 100% recommend!

Lovely backyard for delicious Italian. Attentive and kind staff.

Meal was in patio due to COVID 19. So ambiance was so/so. However, food and service were great as usual.
We live in the neighborhood and dine here several times per year.

Really good food and has been consistently good over the years. A terrific pizza served on a wooden pizza board and great pastas etc. During the pandemic eating available on their backyard enclosed patio so you are sheltered from the elements. Cant wait to go back.

Partaking dinner at Pane e Vino Trattoria. A wonderful meal serviced on the restaurant's back patio dining room. We were promptly seated and welcomed by an attentive server. We ordered wine by the glass, which was brought to the table quickly and was tasty. Our appetizers were good and we were surprised by the delicate flavor and texture of the baby octopus. Entry's arrived after the appetizer, both were good but the taste and texture of the spinach Tagliatelle Verdi Alla Bolognese was excellent. Finally desert, the cheesecake had Italian roots and the raspberry tart had just the right amount of sweetness so not to overwhelm the previous dishes. We drove from la to SF to get away and have dinner. This restaurant was worth the 400 mile ride. We will visit again.

Pane e Vino is a classic trattoria with the regional cuisine of Northern Italy along with local specials. It has been one of my favorite locales for many years and never disappoints with their pasta dishes, fresh fish specials , seasonal favorites , antipasti and pizzas. Great wine list , service and love the servers who beckon from towns we love in Italy !

Loved the food and service!

This has long been one of our go to SF Italian restaurants but this particular night the food was off - bland tasting with little in the way of seasoning. Our grilled chicken dish was, essentially, flavorless. We mentioned this to our waiter and he graciously removed it from our bill. The cookies with vin santo dessert, however, was spot on good. We will chalk this one up to an off night and definitely go back.

Terrific neighborhood restaurant. Great for family or business workgroup gatherings. I have always had outstanding food and service. Fabio is a wonderful host/waiter. Make a reservation. Enjoy!

This was our first time dining here and we were so glad we chose this great spot! We started by sharing the mista salad and it was so fresh with a light vinaigrette dressing. The pomodoro pasta dish and halibut were both delicious. Service was perfect so overall I definitely give it top marks!
