Love going here for the great drinks especially great happy hour pricing.
Need to up their game on on the small pates for HH.
HEALTHIER choices, better balance if choices like they used to.
Love the heated patio lounge seating.
Wish the inside was more comfy and intimate. It’s more cafeteria feeling. Needs booth seating And more. It’s usually too cold inside.
Dinner menu food is good.
Edmon is great making his drinks.
But they do need to serve drinks with napkins.
I am very disappointed with the service. There were so many things went wrong at dinner when they charged premium for 3-course meals during Valentines day! Here to name a few:
Firstly, host tried to seat us at the outdoor lounge area for a 3-course dinner. The lounge table and sits are much lower than a standard dinner table height. Then we requested to move inside and got seated at a communal table for Valentines day. I totally didn’t expect to share table with someone else especially we had a dinner reservation.
Secondly, we waited almost 30mins and no server came by. Later we found out that bartender was too busy making cocktails and no times to serve tables that assigned to him. I think manager should help out in such situation but nothing happened.
We literally had to beg to get the bartender attention. After bartender took the orders, it took about 30 mins for them to serve first appetizer and it was a wrong order. At the time, we couldn’t even get our bartender’s attention because he was too busy at the bar.
Then it took another 30 mins for them to serve me a main course while my date had to continue waiting for his meal . After another long wait, he finally got his main course but the side dish was missing . We had no choice and started to eat m. Also, my steak already turned cold. To give you an idea, we arrived the restaurant at 7:15PM and main course was served at 9PM. This is how bad it is! The missing side dish finally arrived when we almost finished our meals
Personally, i don’t think the bartender should take all blames. I hope the management can give more proper training to the manager and all staff. However, this is my first and also the last time to visit the restaurant. Sorry, I won’t be coming back anytime soon.
Did not realize this was the hotel restaurant. Not much for intimate dining. Better for lunch
The restaurant was out of the first two items I wanted to order. The wait staff checked with us often, but I had to ask for my wine twice. The malt vinegar aioli was quite tasty, but the fish in the fish and chips was just okay. Kind of mushy.
Lots of seafood and steak options. I enjoyed their restaurant week combo overall. Dressing a bit too heavy, and sauv blanc Tate’s okay, but their cocktail options are varied and I heard they were tasty. Interesting options provided will return with more seafood loving friends to check out their steamed mussels.
Good for happy hour. Vibe would be better if lights were not so bright and there was music.
Service great!
They had a painting class going on in half of the dining room that was very loud. The heat wasn't working so the place was very cold. The waiter really tried very hard to make our experience enjoyable, but it was just not.
The food we ordered was just ok. The fish in the fish and chips was over cooked. The salad was over dressed.
The service was slow.
Food and service were both great.
Party of 4 for dinner. Restaurant seemed to be understaffed, bartender was acting as hostess and server through first part of the meal. Two of the vegetable side dishes were sold out because of banquet demand two nights in a row. Failure in food inventory planning? For one pasta dish the sauce had way too much garlic even though we were assured it was not that way when ordered. No food arrived for ~ 45 minutes, everything at once. Salad did not arrive before meal. Second pasta dish ( no garlic) arrived ~ 20 minutes after that. (and was comped) Burger was good. One of two New York steaks were enjoyed. Staff were friendly but it was a bad night. We keep trying this place but it is very inconsistent, and often because of banquets or parties.
We are having gathering monthly at Parkview for past year. We have held a committee meeting/ happy hour there. Always great service & a friendly staff. Special shout out to Eder who is such a great guy!
Great little neighborhood gem. Very good service, excellent food and timely service all in one place! We are repeat patrons.
We love this place, friendly service and good food.
I somehow missed in the reviews that this is a hotel restaurant with minimal ambiance. Oops! I picked it for a business meal, and the impression wasn’t the best.
Love the staff at this location and will definitely keep going back just for them. Their the BEST!!
Groovy place. I was pretty much unaware of it until we needed a place for a birthday brunch. We wanted to go a bit nicer than a pancake house/diner. Interior was nice, the staff friendly, I always believe you can judge a place that serves breakfast by their eggs benedict. There are a lot of mediocre eggs benedict out there. Yours was top notch. Everyone enjoyed the meal. Our server kept the mimosas coming. Park View is now in our family breakfast rotation. Nice work!
From the Opentable pics/listing, expected a nicer restaurant. It's a hotel bar. Hotel bars aren't bad, it was a good hotel bar - just not a great restaurant. Also, food was lower quality than expected for the price. Drinks were awesome, though!
We decided to try this restaurant since we were attending an event at the Flint center. The layout was like one large room with about 10 tables and a bar area, so not very appealing. There was a large party in the bar, so very loud and crowded. Drinks were very expensive ($17 martini), and the food was on the pricey side as well. Food arrived cold and overdone. Calamari was sent back twice and was finally warm on the third try. Skirt steak was well done instead of medium rare and was sent back. Side orders were not correct. On the bright side, the servers were nice and not horribly slow, and did their best to correct issues. Would not recommend or go back again.
Didn't know that it is located in the hotel. My mom and I went there for a brunch. The quality of the food was so bad, the veggie omelet was so chewy, the potatoes were fired to the point that it was impossible to chew. The fresh fruit was cute 3 weeks ago. Bad, Bad, Bad, would never go back.
We were so hoping for a more yummy meal; it was just OK. Nothing to get excited about which is unfortunate because it is so close to the office. Nice interior, great sound i.e. quiet so you don't have to shout at each other. Didn't try their hamburger's which they tout. Maybe we should have? Don't know if we'll go back there.
Attendees enjoyed the meal very much - restaurant is pricey, however!
A nice sports bar and restaurant setting. Good selection of food choices and wine. Friendly and attentive staff. Great for business travelers.
Should have explained alternate choices for romaine lettuce before bringing substitute to the table, requiring send back and reorder.
Mother’s day
This is the latest incarnation of the hotel restaurant. Many items on the menu are familiar, with some new additions. The food is solid, service is friendly if occasionally a little casual. The room itself is comfortable and usually conducive to conversation. The burger is consistently good. I had the Tacos al Pastor, which is listed as a starter but is enough for a light lunch. Nice spots for a quiet lunch.
SLOW!!!!! Came for Sunday brunch, there was no one there except two people at the bar. We ordered a burger and an eggs Benedict. It took more than 35 mins for the food to arrive! I wonder how long the food will take if there’s a few more tables there. Food was OK. If it’s not for the Passport Dining BYGO offer, we will not come again.
We loved the service that the staff provided. The steak came in a cast iron skillet, which was interesting and fun!
Went there for last minute Valentine's dinner. That night's menu was very truncated and didn't have the items we might have ordered so we ended up with the Valentine's day special which was a 28oz porterhouse (came with peppercorn and bearnaise sauces), mashed potatoes and a stack of sauteed broccolini (excellently cooked/seasoned) for $99.
As noted in other recent reviews, the steak was over cooked a bit (came medium, we asked for medium rare) and both the potatoes and steak were a bit underseasoned. Easily rectified with just a bit of salt. Other than being overcooked a bit, steak had a nice beefy flavor which was the reason we didn't ask them to replace it. Sauces were good with the peppercorn sauce being excellent and the bearnaise being good not great (I make my own).
Finished off the meal with a flourless cake which was good. Service was cheery and excellent. Tipped accordingly (20%+).
Overall, it wasn't bad enough to actively avoid in the future but there are a couple other steak places we'd go before we go back to this restaurant.
Valentine's Day dinner... The regular menu posted online was not the Valentine's Day dinner menu. There were only 4 dinner entries on the menu, skirt steak, halibut, chicken, and porterhouse steak.... It was very loud... The bar area spilled over into the dining room.
Good note, my halibut was cooked very tender and my date got a rose when the check came.
We like this restaurant for long time but looks like they change chief, the dinner dish is not like before.
Greeted & got our table upon arrival. Service (interaction with the server) was good -- but the food took a very long time to come out of the kitchen; no bread on the table - so was really hungry when food arrived). Once delivered, the food was delicious. I'll will be a return customer because of the convenience, professional atmosphere and the good food. But I'll re-set my expectation on food delivery timing especially if it is a business lunch.
I had made a reservation on OpenTable and showed up at the scheduled time. It turns out that they were actually closed! What a joke!
This restaurant has really gone down hill. New Year’s Day saw a limited menu. I ordered the ribeye while my husband ordered the flank steak. The ribeye was much more expensive, and I had expected it to be a better cut of meat and seasoned better. There was a delay in getting our meals, which was a puzzlement because there were only two other tables besides ours and we ordered first.
Both of us ordered our steaks medium rare. Hubby’s came out ahead of time, which was to be expected since it was thinner cut of meat. It was tasty. Mine came out a couple of minutes later and was actually thinner than his, underseasoned, and overcooked. By the time we got the attention of one of the servers, the other tables had ordered and our re-order went to the back of the line.
By the time my dinner appeared, hubby had eaten his completely. Second steak was a vast improvement, larger, and succulent, but still underseasoned.
We did get a free dessert for the inconvenience, but it ruined our New Year’s eve dinner. We used to come to this restaurant for the great food and service, and now it seems to have neither.
The food, service and ambiance is good but this was the second time that they have brought the salad out just seconds or with my entree. I had to rush eating my salad in order for my food not to get cold. The waiters should wait for the salad/appetizers to be finished and taken away before bringing out the entree.
Food was a good value and tasty for both happy hour and dinner. Service was a little slow once we moved to a dinner table.
This was as good as last time; relative in town so we met here for breakfast. Very quiet vs the normal Sunday breakfast places that have lines out the door and waits of 30 - 60 minutes. The menu is limited but adequate. They delivered our food on time and hot. Overall a great quiet place for breakfast.
Cannot recommend this restaurant. Unfortunately, the food was overpriced and not good! We ordered the daily special. It was fish that had a fishy smell when it was delivered to the table. It was cooked with ham and corn to likely conceal that fact that the fish was not fresh. We ordered bread that was dry and tasteless. My friend was charged extra for name brand alcohol in her drink that she did not order. I was charged extra for my drink for switching name brand alcohols. This would have been ok, if I had been told this was going to be on the bill. Sorry Parkview, we were very disappointed the entire meal from start to finish.
Worse service I have ever experienced. Server was grumpy amd rude
The server was nice, but didn't offer anything. We had to ask for everything. Things we ordered were forgotten. The app platter was missing one item. And the restaurant wasn't busy--only three tables during the lunch "rush".
Also not a lot of vegetarian options--there used to be more. Cocktails were the best part. Sad, because I've had a few great meals there, but probably won't return.
Excellent wild Halibut tacos. Everything was delicious. Great service Yadel.
Great food & service
