Parkers' Restaurant & Bar
Great food and service
Business, but with small group (5 )people.
Here been here many times with my wife.
Service and food were terrific, no rush, easy to talk.
Hard to beat.
I had lunch at Parkers' with co-workers and we had a great experience.
Birthday! They gave us complementary treats besides the excellent dinner and service !
Had not been here in many, many years due to an average experience that time. This time much more favorable.
Lobster Shrimp Bisque, while nicely presented, was a tad lacking in lobster. Beet salad abundant and excellent tasting. Entrees (Swordfish special and Filet) both abundant in portions and excellent flavored. Not a fan of Brussel Sprouts but these with the Swordfish were roasted very enjoyable. Swordfish could have used a little more of the mustard sauce accompaniment. Took dessert to go and discovered it was a "construct your own" Key Lime Pie which I am not a fan of.
Overall a good experience that will bring us back.
The meal was wonderful, this is my only complaint. My girlfriend and I both ordered the King crab legs, and they did not split them completely open. They only split one side, not both sides. Making it very difficult and messy trying to open and eat them. She had such a hard time opening them, I had to do it for her. We have been to numerous nice restaurants, and always order crab legs, and this was the first time they only split one side, not both.
Overall, our dinner was really good and we would come back. I would also recommend this for a lot of types of outings, sitting at the bar listening to music, a date, family dinner and I believe they also have rooms in the back for groups. The drinks were tasty and so was the food. My only reason for not giving five stars was that my two lamb chops were not cooked alike; one was slightly overcooked but the other one was perfect. Will return and try other items.
We ate in the lounge area so we could hear the very nice jazz band. The hostess greeter didn’t know what she was doing. The food was just good and a little overpriced with my swordfish being overdone and the old fashioned weak. The waitress was good but the food runner (server) was rude and seemed angry and in an awful hurry. Just threw the food on the table and kept on walking. I wondered if has hands were clean when he picked up our food and carried it over. Who knows. Maybe he just took out the garbage. He makes me hesitant to go back to Parker’s when there are so many other choices.
The restaurant was pleasant and relaxing. We were seated in the back room, and it was very easy to talk with the the other guests. The waitress was very attentive and very helpful with making our selections. Each guest enjoyed their meal very much!
We eat at Parkers' frequently, but usually in the bar. This was an anniversary so we moved to the dinning room. I had the best salmon I can remember having anywhere. The preparation and presentation was exceptional. The service was equally exceptional.
Very nice meal. Service was very good. Was loud tho
Had a great time with great food. It’s very relaxing there so you really like staying and enjoying your company.
Cocktails & appetizers were excellent. Entrees were spot on. Desserts were a nice final touch.
It was our Anniversary, we first had a drink at the bar before moving to a table. We actually selected a table in the lounge area because they had a 3 piece Jazz group playing. Service was attentive, food really good, impressive wine list.
We enjoyed to Thanksgiving buffet.
The servers were attentive without being intrusive.
Absolutely excellent service and food. Easily as good as any of the restaurants in Chicago. Looking forward to my next visit.
My family went there for Thanksgiving. It was nicely done, and the food was awesome. Half of the table went with the thanksgiving buffet; the other half ordered off the regular menu. I enjoyed that flexibility.
If you’re looking for a change of pace for the holidays and shelf cooking at home for once, definitely consider Parker’s.
It was our seafood/holiday lunch prior to the family dinner. Could not have been nicer...
Thanks giving dinner, awesome selection & service
Great service and atmosphere. The food was good but a bit over priced.
We were celebrating our 40th anniversary so wanted to pick a special place. Our service was excellent but the food was mediocre. The Oysters Rockefeller were just warm, not hot and loaded with the filling with a very small oyster. Lobster linguine was also lukewarm so we sent it back. It was VERY bland, so disappointed as it was rather pricey. We also ordered the halibut special which was delicious but a very skimpy portion. Overall, the value was not at all up to par.
We went on a Friday evening to celebrate my husband’s birthday. We listened to jazz music while we ate dinner in the lounge. Music was good, food was good, portions just right. Service was very attentive. Drinks were pricey. Overall, a good place to celebrate a special occasion.
Our waiter was amazing, Parker’s is one of our favs!! We will be back!
Great food as always. Our server, Nick, was very attentive, great with wine and food recommendations and also very funny! Can't wait to go back.
What a lovely spot for our anniversary and birthday!
Everything was wonderful and Parker's will be a part of our dining rotation going forward.
It is a very good dining room. My only complaint is that we we were sat at a two person table by a window right beside the heating floor vents. It was way too hot and kind of put a damper on the whole evening. I feel the restaurant should know this and not cram people in and accept that there should not be tables placed there.
We had a lovely evening starting with drinks in the cozy bar, and then being seated for dinner. The food is great, but pricey for very small portions of fish. 3 of us ordered the swordfish which was prepared nicely but the piece was very small.
Food and service was outstanding. Bartender was exceptionally nice. Minor issue - Hostess could not find our reservation but was assisted in doing so. When our guests arrived - same thing. Only thing I didn’t care for is staff walking around with tablets and looking at everyone’s table status. Happened 4 times.
We arrived for our 5 pm reservations and were seated immediately. We ordered several appetizers and a bottle of wine. The bruschetta was interesting. Calamari somewhat pedestrian but a large portion. Our bottle of Italian white wine was reasonably priced, $50, and the key lime pie tasty. Parkers' is an excellent restaurant with good valued wines. Service was efficient. You do need reservations, especially on a Saturday evening.
We love Parkers. It is our 'go to' place for family occasions. I was a tad annoyed when they stuck us all the way in the last room. We had reservations for a week and therefore feel that we should have been in the main dinning room. Oh well, it was still great.
They need to do a better job of either "piping" in the live music from the bar or turn up the music; especially in the back room.
Great food and service!
Great food. Excellent service. Recognition of my wife’s birthday. Noise level is a bit high. Overall an enjoyable experience.
Our waiter was helpful and knowledgable regarding the menu. We enjoyed the quality of the food and the flavor was excellent! Will be back soon with family members!
We had an excellent dinner and outstanding service
Had a birthday dinner for my wife and our 11 month old granddaughter was with. They took good care of her and us in a quite area which was great. No complaints about the food either, alway enjoy this restaurant.
The food and service was excellent. We were seated in a long area pretty close to two other tables so that wasn't that great. It was also on the expensive side. I would recommend it.
This dinner with friends from out of state was so enjoyable. We weren't isolated, but the noise level was perfect for conversation. Our waiter was informative, helpful, and provided just the right amount of attention. The food was delicious: oysters, bisque, bouillabaisse, salmon, halibut, and short rib -- as was the wine. Not a first visit, and not the last. It's pricy, but with such good quality.
We sat in the bar. Late in the evening. Service was exceptional. So was the food. You have to try the cotton candy dessert!
