Piccola Italia Ristorante
Food is always great and the best service!!!
Service and knowledge of offered dishes second to none. Atmosphere is authentic and leaves no doubt you are in a proper Italian restaurant. Drinks were perfectly prepared and paired nicely with our entrees. We found some unique takes on some classics and were impressed with the quality of everything from the kitchen.
We will return sooner than later with friends in tow!
We were pretty disappointed with out experience. We actually never even made it to dinner. We arrived about 10 mins early for our Valentine's date reservation. We were quickly seated which actually was a positive. However the location of our table (marked with a number 71) was behind a booth type seat of another table which became an issue as our time wore on. We were given menus and water. And that's where everything went South. For about 10 minutes we sat there and not once did a waitress come and say hello or even acknowledge we were there. After a few more minutes a large party was seated at the table with the booth seat we were backed up against. As they sat our entire table shook as they moved into the booth seat and to the right we now had a view of the back of other people's heads less than a foot from our faces. By this point 15-20 mins had gone by and we still had not seen our waitress, we opted to leave. We stopped and told the host we are leaving. We ended up at another downtown restaurant and had a positive experience.
Great time & food as always. Zuppa Fiorentino was very tasty with tender noodles, spinach & huge chunks of chicken, Meatballs that melt in your mouth & seafood piccola loaded with lobster, scallops, clams, mussels, shrimp & calamari
Excellent service!! Food was very good and fairly priced, definitely worth the money. My only complaint would be, it seems they packed some extra tables in for the Valentine's crowd which made it feel cramped and much noisier than usual. But, even with the extra crowd the service was excellent and timely. We had a pleasant experience and will continue to visit.
We had a bad experience with a selected menu once so now we just celebrate holidays (like valentines) a day later. This was obviously still feeling the same holiday rush as it was PACKED! Which is great. It’s good food. However... they must have brought all the outdoor tables in to cram as many people in as possible. If there was a fire, we’d be dead. Our waitress hardly came to our table. I got a spicy sausage Rosa something and was delicious but .... spicy. I had to wait for her to bring another drink, then she disappeared for a while, came back for desserts, then we sat and waited for 30 minutes for her to take our card and cash us out. They were HORRIBLY understaffed and over booked. The food was phenomenal though
We had terrible service. They didn't state the specials for the evening, 15 minutes for my second drink. And it was over 20 minutes from the time we stopped eating to the time we had to ask another waitress for our check because we didn't know where our waitress was. Food was good, but service was not good at all.
Good food, first round of drinks were great, the second round was not as good. Took a long time to pay our bill and get our desserts we ordered to go.
Booked a reservation Valentine’s Day, arrived five minute early and was seated immediately in a nearly full dining room. Not expecting that, set the tone for the night.
Martini and scotch to start were a healthy pour. Had an antipasto and a split a couple of meatballs as a first course. Good variety on the salad, meatballs were slightly overcooked.
Dinner was cooked perfectly. My linguini and clams...tender with plenty of shellfish, wife’s chicken piccata was very moist...enough leftover for lunch the next day.
Opted for a bottle of Tuscan red (migliori) with our meal, fairly priced at $38...by the glass it was a little overpriced.
Service was very good, we never felt rushed. Ambiance was average.
I love the Cesar salad at Piccola's it is one of my favorites. We had veal & chicken parmigiana was was very good. It was Valentines night and the service was great especially considering how busy they were. Our server Elizabeth was attentive but not overly so. I'll definitely be back .
The food was delicious. However our waitress consistently forgot about us and rarely checked in on us. Didn’t bring us bread and was seen standing around many times.
Food was very good. Service was slow but it was a holiday so understandable. Definitely would recommend.
Great food, we were not rushed on Valentines Day very nice night out.
We were there pre-valentine’s day. Our waiter was awesome! She was attentive without being overbearing. Piccola Italia has been our favorite restaurant for 30 years.🤬
Don't bother making a reservation. Walk ins get first priority and you will be bumped. We got bumped by a party of 20- to a small table behind the bar. If your idea of a romantic night is listening to a loud bar- then you are all set. Because of the large political party- service went to hell in a hand basket.
Birthday Before concert
Excellent, ambiance, food and service. Rosa was charming and efficient. Party of six and everyone gave their meals 5 stars. Would highly recommend.
Great birthday lunch had by all. Specials of the day were delish. Rosa is always friendly and hospitable.
Arrived to a busy restaurant so I went back after making reservations. The food was great, service was good, and the atmosphere was cozy.
Food was great. We got there and it was really busy, had to wait a little extra longer past our check in time. Took a while to get the check at the end of the meal. Overall the food was worth the wait! I got the chicken Marsala -recommend it.
Great food. Awesome staff. Will be back again.
Second time in three years I have eaten here. Wish I lived close enough to eat there 2-3 times monthly
Food, fair average. The clams in my clam sauce were overcooked, not much flavor in either dish we ordered. Staff was very nice though and welcoming. Had a warm feel. Not too loud inside. Our wine was good. If you are looking for a place to have a beverage and warm conversation spot, it would fit the bill.
So this place is amazing. Our waitress was great. She made our tableside ceasar salad and it was the beat I've ever had. I had veal toscana that was delicious. Big pieces of veal and homemade fettuccine. My wife had chicken marsala that was perfect. Our waitress brought over 2 cannolis to celebrate our anniversary. The only reason this wasnt a 5 star review is we asked for a regular table and not a high top when making the reservations however we were seated at the only high top they have.
Always consistently good food and service.
Piccola Italia is a MUST dine location when in the Manchester area!
Haven’t been in years and loved it. Will be back much more frequently.
Had reservations at 2:30, after a show. There were 3 tables occupied with about 7 people at the bar. One server for tables and bartending. In addition, the server had a very thick accent and very difficult to understand. We reluctantly walked out after 20 minutes. I’ve been before but would think twice before going again.
The food was very good. I had no complaints with the Cesar salad and Chicken Parmigiana. My date did not love her meal, but she liked it. She didn’t seem as impressed as me, but she’s a very picky woman.
Very strong drinks, seated about twenty minutes after our reservation but we weren’t in a rush so it was fine. Phenomenal food and worth the money spent. We were actually surprised the bill was only $250 as their were six of us and we got drinks, appetizers and dinner.
We went there on New Year’s Eve
Food was great service was great.
The butternut squash ravioli was to die for! Reservations were right on time and service was excellent
This was the first time going to this restaurant. My wife and I love Italian food and just returned from Italy about 3 months ago. I think we enjoyed eating there as much as the sightseeing. My wife ordered the Veal Parmigiana and I ordered the Veal Piccola Italia (veal wrapped around lobster, asparagus, and Fontina cheese in a light sherry wine sauce) - which I highly recommend. The service was outstanding with just the right amount of checking back to see if we needed anything. We capped of the meal with cappuccino which was the perfect send off to our concert.
Usually we love ALL the food. The table side Caesar was wonderful as well as the eggplant appetizer but unfortunately the Veal Piccolo was overcooked. I’ve been getting the same dish ever Christmas Eve for 5 years. It’s my favorite. But this year it missed the mark. I hope next ya meat it will be back to usual.
Great food and Excellent service on Christmas Eve. The Resturant was packed and service was still tremendous. They definitely had extra staff working to ensure all of the guest received 5 star service.
Excellent on Christmas Eve!!!!
Great food! Everyone's meal was excellent. Johnny does a great job and came to our table to check on us as well. My Italian waitress was outstanding, great personality! We had such a great time and there were 5 of us. Love this Place- Marc
We totally enjoyed our experience. Our first visit will not be our last visit’
We went to Piccola for my wife’s 60th birthday. Restaurant was crowded, but wait staff was excellent, food was amazing and we had a wonderful time all around....highly recommend this restaurant!
We arrived to a full house. There were two major events going on at the SNHU Arena and the Palace Theater that night, so it was incredibly busy. The front door was a bit chaotic, and we were seated 30 minutes after our reservation time. I feel like they could reduce stress at the door by investing in some seating buzzers.
I ordered an alcoholic beverage, bay scallops with risotto, and an espresso. Everything was very tasty, but again the restaurant was so busy that service was very slow. Our meals were 45 minutes to arrive, and I had to remind our server for the espresso 15 minutes after ordering. Our server forgot to bring out a drink for one of my friends but still put it on the bill.
I was a little perplexed, because there was an army of staff, and this location is accustomed to heavy traffic. Possibly, the kitchen staff was shorthanded. I’ll chalk it up to an off-night. Normally, this establishment is very good, but certainly be mindful of a crowd on busy nights. The food was good, so we won’t be deterred from returning.
