Pinstripes - South Barrington
Stale and hard breadstick, we know they are suppose to be soft. Ribs were chewy, and the salads were both full of the hard ends of the romaine lettuce. We have bee here many times before, and the food this evening was very bad! People we were with told me they would never co e back again.
We were there at 5 PM and we figured that the ribs were left over from lunch as well as the bread sticks,
We like coming to Pinstripes because it’s has a friendly atmosphere and we can either dress up or be casual. Prices are reasonable and we both can order hefty salads, which is great for 2 people trying to lose weight. Waiters and waitresses are always accommodating.
Great food great ambiance, but mosquitoes were awful!
We have never had a bad meal here. Most of the time we split a flatbread and salad and maybe an app. We had the bruschetta, stuffed mushrooms, pear & prosecco salad and sausage and peppers flatbread. Was delicious and they always do such a good job with presentation. Our server was Katy and she was a doll... very bright and great personality and attentive. My only complaint with this location is that for some reason they sometimes have trouble seeing our open table reservation. The hostess did say however that she would ensure the points were applied.
Best service we have ever had there. Our server was Justina and she was the best in all the years we have been going there. (since it opened) Very hard worker.
The flap bread was fantastic! Server was attentive yet gave us plenty of time to sit and chat.
Good bread sticks with a pesto sauce that you won't find anywhere else. Conversation friendly
Great food always! Love the staff and their attentiveness!
Great food and atmosphere. Love it and being going there since it opened.
The quality of the food surprised me. I've visited many times, but only ate at the bowling lane. This time, for a special occasion, I reserved for dinner. Fabulous! Oh, and the bowling was fun, too! ;-)
Waiter was great, very attentive but not overly. Seated by area where staff was congregating was fairly unpleasant (in booths by bar area). Bruschetta was excellent but overall menu needs a refresh.
Server friendly. Efficient but didn’t rush us to order.
Best iced tea I’ve ever consumed. Pinstripes cooked salmon to perfection. Outstanding!
Good choices on the menu, food is always good. Their hamburgers are wonderful and fries, amazing.
The only positive experience of this visit was my wife's veggie burger which she said was tasty. The service was terrible and we were seated by the bar where the employees enter and pick up orders. Our waitress seemed like she truly disliked us and for 2 burgers and a kids meal we paid over $80. Never again
We were pleasantly surprised how delicious our food was. Bread and pesto starter was divine as was the rest of our food. Will go back!
Restaurant service was slow and awkward
Bowling was very substandard. We had the only lane with a table which we had to share with another party, instead of couches. The lane was not performing well and took a long time to reset each frame, causing a slow pace and only allowing us to complete one game in an hour. Also our bowling balls randomly did not get returned to us, which was a problem since someone in our group brought his own bowling ball. A waiter came to our area and took all our water glasses when we were still using them, and tried to pour all the water from the glasses back into the tiny opening in the bottle, spilling it all over the place and then wiping it onto the floor over all of our shoes.
Wonderful and beautiful food and atmosphere.
I took my boyfriend for our Valentine's Day and Anniversary........We had great customer service......our service was friendly and nice. The food so yummy and amazing dessert
The food was delicious and we had a wonderful server, Alex, he was very attentive and anticipated our every need. What a wonderful Valentine' day.
Felt rushed the entire night. Server was unable to properly transfer the special from our dinner table to our bowling table. Server did not come back with silverware for the desert.
Great place for a get-together lunch with friends. Wonder ambiance, and the tomato soup is one of the best I've tasted anywhere.
Good food. Sevice was a little slow and it wasnt very busy. But server was super nice and knowledgeable about Gluten free.
We had a manager seat us and he was friendly, sat us in a booth along a wall. Our server, Gabriel, was funny / entertaining, but didn't intrude on our meal. We loved our food! Tried the bruschetta for the first time, along with soup and the spaghetti and meatballs. Everything was very filling and full of flavor! I may recommend that during lunch hours, you don't sit near the bar well, unless you would like to be apart of the servers' conversation. Our booth backed along the wall leading the the bar, and the "window" doesn't have any glass or anything to stop carry over noise. We could have been apart of any conversation if we wanted to - in which case we may have just sat at the bar top. Again, everything was delicious and everyone was very hospitable!
Excellent service and food.
With the December price increase I expected a "more than usual" menu. Really not worth the increase. Nothing extra. Nothing special.
Brunch is always good, with good choices. No need for increase.
Been here several times and always consistent. Great food and very friendly wait staff.
A consistent favorite.
Food always good, service can be hit or miss. They were busy due to group holiday lunches and appeared to be understaffed. If you’re not in a rush it’s ok. Gave waiter check with our cards and took him 10 minutes to get back to us. We were on our lunch hour. Enjoy in summer with outdoor patio. Service was better.
We never went, as they cancelled our reservation (which we made three days before) two hours before it was due because someone had just hired the whole place. I understand it’s better business for them to have the whole place full rather than a few tables, but to cancel on such short notice is not good customer service. There wasn’t even a hint of some offer to compensate for the inconvenience, even just a free soda next time would at least shown some thoughtfulness. Very disappointing.
Fantastic brunch. Best in the NW suburbs. Good selection on regular menu, also. Service is always very efficient.
Half price wine on Friday nights is a value. Beware if the jambalaya. It us blackened chicken and shrimp resulting in a dry and overly seasoned protein. But prime rib dip is worth the drive.
Fun place for bocce. The bar manager, Ryan did a nice job of both explaining the game and checking in without being intrusive. Had lunch afterwards and Dan, the waiter was attentive. Will plan on returning again.
Server forgot items when ordered. Waited for food too long and timing of the food was off.
Great food...great service!
Waiter Daniel was very accommodating. Food came out rapidly. Very good experience.
Great place, very casual, staff very friendly and willing to satisfy. Very attentive to your needs. Great for family, business, romantic dates, etc.
My favorite neighborhood restaurant. Pleasant surrounds with great food and deluxe entertainment rolled into one.
We were celebrating my husband’s birthday. We’d been to the Pinstripes in Chicago years ago, but not the one in Barrington. The server was awesome and the food delicious! A wonderful evening!
All of us felt it was very warm in the dining area, otherwise service was great and food was very good.
