Pizza was amazing! Great service. Location was wonderful. We had a large group and they were very accommodating.
Their pizza and garlic bread is amazing! A great alternative to heavy deep dish.
Deep dish pizza is great. Garlic bread appetizer was delicious - not your average garlic bread...cheese and dipping sauce made it great!. Service was good. I've been to Pizano's several times and will definitely eat here again!
Best pizza in town! No long wait and excellent service.
I took my 3 relatives from Norway to have a great Chicago pizza and arrived after they, along with my wife, had been seated. When I walked in the host looked at.me like I was from.another planet, said nothing and looked puzzled when I explained I was meeting.others already seated. I asked for directions to the table got a point and as I made my way through the crowded tables to the other room a waiter walked right into.me and said nothing. After I paid the bill totaling $120 for mediocre food, we walked out and once again the host (a different one) said nothing i.e. thank you, how was your meal, please come again, etc. So I said thank you for allowing us to dine here and he said oh, thank you. FIRST AND LAST TIME I WILL EAT AT PIZANOS!!!
Service was outstanding but the thin crust pizza and the baked pan chocolate chip cookie was outstanding. Some of the best thin crust ever had!
We had a great time and the pizza was delicious!!!! I took my class from Loyola and they loved it!
Wonderful neighborhood restaurant.
What more can be said...Traditional Chicago Deep Dish Pizza!! Fantastic!
Host stand guy was not very attentive despite having a reservation. He was not as courteous as you would expect and not focused on people walking into the restaurant.
I really enjoyed the thin crust pizza. The table next to us ordered a deep dish and after they noticed I was eyeing their deep dish pizza they offered me at a slice and a deep dish is even better.we had a reservation and we were seated quickly. we really enjoyed our visit.
Really enjoyed Jon, our waiter. We will be going back! Again and again!!!
It was good all around but I was told it was very good.
Hands down, Pizano's has the best pizza in Chicago!
Small meat lovers deep dish: 24.95... nothing special. Runny. Sauce had a spaghetti o’s color and finish to it. This was my second and last time reserving here. Visited Chicago for a few days, and this was my “pizza night.” Will try somewhere else next time. If I’d have not had a reservation and had to wait 30-45 minutes for this low caliber Chicago pizza, I’d have been angry. Proceed with caution.
HANDS DOWN BEST ITALIAN PIZZA AND DISHES IN CHICAGO
We were in town for the USC vs Notre Dame football game and stopped by for dinner on the way up. We ordered both a deep dish and thin crust pizza to compare the two. Both were outstanding!
We had a great lunch! Delicious food and delightful hospitality!
Wanted to find authentic deep dish pizza and this place did not disappoint. The bonus was getting to watch the natives cheer on the Cubs! Awesome experience
Offers not just deep dish which is good but thin crust, pasta dishes etc. the individual deep dish has a lot of crust so order next size up at least.
One of the best pizza crusts around! Deep dish good, but the thin crust, get it extra thin and well done. To die for!
The food was good, as well as the service. Found it odd that they did not have typical Italian style desserts and they offer French Fries? Made us question a little of the authenticity, but the food we had was tasty, fast, and good proportions.
Very old guy (seemed like the owner or manager) was standing at the host stand when we got there. I told him we had a reservation for two and he laughed asking “are you kidding me?” He gave us the worst attitude possible and mentioned he had been in the industry for 40 yrs. Has he not learned anything about customer service in so many years ?
His attitude scared us away and we actually didn’t stay and left somewhere else :)
Pizano's deep dish pizza is one word, Delicious! Fragrant pizza sauce, crunchy crust and the array of toppings adds a personalized selection to your dish. Tip: A small pizza was big enough for two but if you want leftovers, order the medium!
Staff was accommodating by seating our group before a late comer arrived.
Pizano's has great pizza though, Chicago may love deep dish but their thin crust is excellent.
Avoid the tourist trap pizzerias, here you'll get a great meal at a reasonable price and won't have to wait an hour for your meal.
The chicken Marsala was very good. Only disappointment was the minestrone soup. Not thick and the broth was not what is typically used for ministrone soup. This soup was more like a clear vegetable soup with some pasta thrown in. Also, never heard of putting peas in ministrone soup before.
Best deep dish pizza in Chicago hands down! My husband and I loved this restaurant and were pleasantly surprised. The staff was very attentive. Pizza was very fresh and relatively fast considering it takes 40 minutes to make a deep dish pizza. And pizza tasted even better the next day though it was cold. The restaurant is pretty affordable too. I will definitely go back here when next I'm in Chicago!
Great staff with friendly and personal atmosphere with great pizza! Local gem!
Great pizza - can't wait to order from them in-line!
We made a reservation on Open Table 15 minutes before showing up, but it hadn't loaded yet so that the restaurant knew we were coming. All was good though, it was a Saturday night at 6:30 pm Cubs played earlier in the day and the place was hopping! Owner got us in within a 1/2 hour, and, we wanted to watch a certain college game on the tv and he changed it immediately! Great family, well-known place highly recommend!
Other pizza places in Chicago are much better and have friendlier more attentive staff
Our second time to Pizano's was just as good. Great casual local place with old school charm. The food is fantastic . We are not fans of deep dish and Pizano's has both thin and deep. The thin is tasty and crunchy with great ingredients . We also shared the toasted ravioli s . We are fans of Pizano's.
Great local restaurant with old school charm and great food. We live in the area and have walked by Pizano's dozens of times and always said " we need to go". Well we did and had a wonderful time. Nice people and very welcoming. The menu is authentic with all the traditional Italian options. We had the thin crust pizza which was tasty, crunchy and excellent. We liked it so much , we went back the same night.
Best pizza in Chicago! If you love thin crispy crust, Pizanos wins hands down.
From John who took our reservation. To the last minute with Phillip one of our servers, every thing from food to drinks to the best deep dish was top shelf. The carb free deep dish was an answer to a prayer! The BEST!!
Third time at Pizano's. First two times very good. Third time very bad. Our waiter very seldom came by to refill drinks and considering our food took ONE Hour this was a big problem. I had to go to the bar to get another beer. The waiter said the problem is "all the tourists coming in with kids". We were tourists with kids!
I still like the atmosphere in the place and the bar tender was great but next time I'm looking for baseball, pizza and wings, I'll reconsider.
The pizza was good! The place is a bit crowded as in I felt like I was sitting with our table and the table next to us. But it was good, so I can't complain... too much!
Stacks up with the best of the Chicago pizza joints; great food and service.
Always enjoy when we come to the city
Great deep dish pizza. Loved the warm but efficient service. It's busy but it works. Regulars.. tourists ... Suburbanites (us) makes a nice mix
