We were the last table served before the virus changes - so an odd evening but they dealt with it beautifully in every way. Have and will continue to enjoy and support this restaurant
I love this place. The food is excellent as is the service and of course the location and ambience can’t be beat. And any place that serves beignets is that much more awesome.
This has always been a safe choice for dinner, brunch, so I was a bit dissatisfied with yesterday’s visit. Not super disappointed, but enough to raise concerns. My eggs Benedict was a tepid, like the eggs were waiting for sauce, or the ham was thrown on straight from the cold storage. Another guest’s chiliaquilles arrived mushy, like the dish say too long and soaked the chips. It was tasty, just not crunchy. My cheddar biscuit was super dry.
The drinks were refreshing, so big points there. Our waiter was mostly attentive but not hovering, so good there. Again, don’t let a few snags deter any one from dining at PSC.
My chicken was raw and had to be sent back. I don't want pink chicken
Very comfortable restaurant specializing in American classic dishes.
Food was delicious, service was great and the outside setting is fantastic on such a beautiful day!
Good friendly service. Varied menu, love the eggplant fries!for a shared appetizer .
Never rushed and easy to find something you will love to eat. They are willing to accommodate options too.
Forks and cups were dirty.
I always enjoy this place. The food and cocktails are excellent and the wait staff super nice.
Great oysters, but they need a great Muscadet like Perle de Mer. The Mary’s chicken was perfect and our server was amazing.
We were staying at the Inn at the Presidio and asked for a recommendation for dinner. The Social Club was just what we were looking for. We wanted a light meal and they split our duck entree without a question and plated it nicely for two. Service with a smile and a yummy meal was great.
Terrible waiter. Food overpriced small portions and not that good
Felt very comfortable & nice family dining!
Service slow. Initially wanted to put us in the back room. Unacceptable. Food was very average
Our waitress was great!! Sorry we didn’t get her name! She suggested entree’s for dinner that turned out to be excellent choices!!
Very slow service. Inattentive wait staff.
We thoroughly enjoyed our lunch experience at the Presidio Social Club yesterday. We both ordered the smoked turkey club with salad -- and a side order of fries -- and I enjoyed the ginger mint ice tea. Our only complaint is the $5 parking fee. I do want to extend a grateful shout-out to our server who is a model of professional customer service.
Lovely setting. Very good ingredients in food. Good service. Will certainly go back.
I like their new menu--I had the butter lettuce salad which was excellent. Also, the guyere cheese sandwich with a little tomato soup on the side. I wished the sandwich had been hot. It was good but not the best cheese ever & it was just room temp. Nice place, good vibes from the staff.
We were there with our kids and two grandsons. Delicious meal. The burgers were wonderful as were the lamb chops. We had the brussel sprout, carrot and smashed peas side dishes that we all outstanding. Truffle fries to die for. We were there early so the place was pretty quiet............will definitely come back on our next trip to San Francisco. Russell, our server, was terrific and very patient with us
Extremely noisy at lunch inside main dining room - difficult to hear across table.
I have always enjoyed dining at PSC but today’s brunch was horrible. The food was quite awful. Extremely disappointed.
A disappointment. I’ve eaten there several times before but this time the food was very mediocre.
I've eaten there numerous times and will continue to do so.
Warm and friendly
I think our server was named Paulette. At any rate she was AWESOME. She made the most perfect recommendations, like she knew us. I got the chicken which was so delicious (honestly some of the best roast chicken ever - how that is even possible i don’t know). My friend has the steak. She loved it. We both had an Old Fashion which was the perfect start. And the dessert- a cherry chocolate thing was fantastic. The view was lovely. The seating comfortable. Basically it was a perfect evening and worth every penny.
Very uneven. Has better meals here in the past. Espresso machine was broken.
We were there for early lunch on a Thursday. Food, service and ambiance were good and definitely enjoyed our experience. The disappointment, which I am surprised we encountered especially in San Francisco, was the lack of a gluten free bread. My daughter is gluten free and they had zero bread options for her. Given the price point and location of the restaurant this came as a total surprise. Will chose a different location next time we lunch with my daughter.
Always a fun place to get together.
I felt like I had stepped back in time right out of an MGM set with the location being the Hollywood Canteen that had been relocated in a beautiful park filled with redwoods. This place is a gem in terms of its renovation, its interior decor, its delish food and great service. If you are arriving before sundown, be sure to ask for a table by a window. The view from this joint can't be beat!
Convenient location for those traveling from the North Bay. Good food and drinks. Good service and attentive staff. Very loud especially for folks with hearing issues. I think we would sit outside next time because it seemed quieter and is kept warm enough to be comfortable.
Rather small portions but adequate.
Waitstaff basically forgot about us and we had to ask someone to order our main dishes after sitting at the table for some time. Sommelier was very nice but the wine was not. First time I have ever left a glass of wine in the bottle on the table. Other than the soup the food was sub-par with the shrimp appetizer tasting like frozen shrimp with lackluster seasoning and the duck being undercooked and tasteless. Dessert wasn’t appealing enough to order and they said their coffee machine had blown up a few weeks prior. No apologies just offered bad drip coffee. At this price point they should be apologetic at a minimum and offered French press or pour-over instead of old drip. It may have been an old school percolator for all I know.
If you have read this far I am sure you will wisely choose to take your business elsewhere.
Great food and lovely ambiance.
