Versteckt in einer Seitenstraße des Schanzenviertels – zwischen Roter Flora und Lerchenwache – befindet sich das Bistro Carmagnole. Carmagnole? Ist das nicht eine Stadt in Norditalien? In der Tat! Doch 'La Carmagnole' ist der Name eines der bekanntesten Lieder der Französischen Revolution, welche die Geburtsstunde der modernen französischen Küche darstellt.
Artischocken, Wild, Trüffel, Fisch, Austern, Soufflés, Mousse und noch viel mehr, für Omnivore und Vegetarier - interpretiert im Geiste der zeitgemäßen Bistronomy-Küche. Nach Tagesangebot und Qualität wechselnde Karte, ebenso Menüs nebst ausgewählter Getränkebegleitung. Dazu vielleicht une coupe de champagne, einen kantigen Naturwein oder gar einen Cocktail?     Very small spaces between tables and it felt a little cramped. Service was good. Food was flavorful and it was an enjoyable meal.

    Fantastic cozy French restaurant. The steak tartare was brilliant, as was the bone marrow special appetiser.

    Surprised to learn that the table is only reserved for 2 hours. And that after putting a credit card down to reserve the table. Felt rushed and squeezed in a corner. Food was mediocre and with for a meal >100€ it left a lot to be desired. French onion soup was the worst of our order. The mussels were ok, but nothing special. The highlight was the friendly waitress who made us feel welcome. Definitely would not recommend

    Always a 10/10! Great food. Great drinks. Great service. One of the best restaurants in Hamburg and one of my favorites. Always a pleasure.

    Absolutely great service, food and wine. The loud music from the club next door was disturbing the atmosphere a bit, but otherwise just great.
