It wasn’t great. They are very slow in service. Don’t even bother bringing out the bread till you are ready to get your meal on the table.
Great energy by the staff! The atmosphere was very good, and the food was fantastic. A little loud as the night wore on, but that's expected in River North. Definitely did not take away from the place since it was still a very tolerable level of noise. Not a "romantic night out" kind of place, but a perfect "birthday night out with the wife/FG/SO" kind of place. Would be great before going to a show, too. Can't say enough good things about it. Serving size of the plates was good. Enough for each of us to take some home. Thank you!
The place was great. We went for my husband’s birthday on a week night. The food was absolutely delightful. I had the risotto with pork and I loved it. Our friends loved the experience as well. We were all eating off of each other’s plates. So good!
Great Food, Great Service
Great place for a date night! Food was fantastic.
We've always had great service and food at Prosecco! We will return again and again! The music seemed a little louder this time than previously, but it added to the energy. Our waiter was great!
My daughter is Vegan and the waiter did an outstanding good working with her and came up with a wonderful Vegan dish!
Highly recommend the truffle pasta
This is one of our favorite places! Chef Mark has a wonderful menu and the service is also excellent.
Good food and service
Went for our anniversary. Ended up getting the stuffed bacon wrapped dates, Pinot noir, and my husband and I both got the Carbonara. You can tell the pasta is homemade, and we *loved* that they gave us a beautiful Champaign toast for free.
Really enjoyed my experience. I came with a friend and we were surprised with a glass of Prosecco! We were lucky to have came during restaurant week. I enjoyed everything except the pasta dish. It was too salty for my taste. The meatball was excellent as well as the banana fudge gelato. I will come again with friends
It has a nice atmosphere and good staff. The food is slightly above average.
Great little quiet corner. Great paste and drinks.
Excellent! Will be back!
Great restaurant week experience. Wine list is well chosen.
Delicious! Food selections were great, service ambiance...highly recommend!
Great evening. Visited during Restaurant Week, and the meal was a great opportunity to visit. Food and service were excellent.thoroughly enjoyable. Dining room is cozy.
We dined at Prosecco during Restaurant Week and used their special menu. They started us with a glass of Prosecco which was very nice considering the name of the restaurant. My wife had the burrata and pear and poached pears. It was very good. I had a salad with apples, walnut, grapes, and gorgonzola which was also very good. We both had the salmon that was cooked perfectly. For dessert, we had gelato and an apple tart with gelato. Our server was very good along with the rest of the staff. As soon as we walked in, they asked for our name and immediately offered their coat service. Much better than putting your coat on the back of the chair. We will go back and try items on the regular menu. I told our waiter we had a train to catch and he was very helpful in bringing our check before we were done. It was a little noisy as more customers entered the restaurant.
Excellent service and the food was amazing!
I LOVE this restaurant. The buratta is always extraordinary.
I made our dinner reservation based on a friends recommendation. Loved that they had a coat check! It was our 5 year anniversary and they gave us a special menu, too which was a nice touch - even though we still ordered off the the regular dinner menu. We ordered the Wagyu Carpaccio, the Polpetti (not sure on the spelling - it is the hot octopus appetizer served with fingerling potatoes) to start. Both were great! I ordered the Tartufate for my entree and my boyfriend ordered the rigatoni dish with crumbled sausage, don't remember the name. I liked my dish but I liked the rigatoni dish much more. The menu says the Tartufate has truffle, which is my fault for not ordering something else - but it was all I tasted. When we placed our order, our server assumed we wanted the larger portion - which I am glad I told him that we wanted the smaller portion as I still had to take home leftovers. Our server seemed somewhat annoyed and came off a little rude to the woman who was assisting him. There was also a mix up for my boyfriend's drink, a Manhattan served up, which came on the rocks - he didn't care about the ice but he didn't like the taste of the cocktail (he usually orders the same cocktail whenever we go out to dinner). I felt that the hip-hop/pop music wasn't fitting for the space - but that's just me! Food was great, and would definitely be up for visiting again and giving it another shot.
We enjoyed our meal at Prosecco immensely. We were a party of six celebrating two birthdays. Our server and staff treated us so well… It was truly a wonderful experience!
The food was delicious, particularly the past dishes. All pastas we’re home made. The appetizers were delicious, small portions but well prepared. We will definitely be going back!
Slow Monday. Great service. Food was good. Chef made a special rigatoni arrabiatta for me. Sausage app was yum yum.
Noise at 6:30 and beyond was crushing. Ruined the delicious dinner
Great food, great service, great ambiance! Will definitely be back!
Servers were friendly and helpful when explaining the menu as well as responsive of all request. Food was absolutely phenomenal
Fantastic experience tonight. Service was very attentive without being overbearing. Food was AMAZING! The white truffle risotto is probably the best thing I have eaten all year. It was our first time here and we will be back for sure
Great, spot-on service. Christian has always given great advice on wine selection, both by the glass and bottle. Menu varied - numerous selections none of which would go wrong. Burrata with poached pears special appetizer was fantastic. Always loved the Whitefish with sautéed garlic spinach; ranks as the best in the city.
Overall we had a great experience. They start the dinner off with a complimentary prosecco toast for the table which was a welcomed surprise. We went 2 days after Christmas so the holiday decor was beautiful and ambiance was cozy. The noise level was really loud, however, even just from conversation (not loud music), which wasn’t great for our party. Some fabric around the establishment (on walls, columns, etc.) could help a little but it’s unclear how much they could do about it. Risotto crab cakes were somewhat dry and disappointing, but the burrata all of which were delicious. Would go back again but would request a table by the front windows to avoid the noise of being surrounded by other parties.
As always, we had a fabulous meal this evening. The wait staff is wonderful, the food is scrumptious, and the ambiance is great. For those that haven’t done it, order a steak at this restaurant. As good as the best steak house in town, and in many cases, better.
This is not the place for a pleasant dining experience! The music in the bar was extremely loud, techno music which prevented me from hearing my dining partner without yelling. Although the plates were cleared promptly and the water refilled, the waiter was rarely there and not very friendly. For example, I ordered a glass of wine that I did not care for and did not drink it. The waiter never noticed and never asked if there was a problem. I had to tell him at the end of the meal and he was dismissive. The food was good, but with all the other great places to eat in Chicago, I would not go back.
Celebrating some career success... greeted with a glass of Prosecco - what else?!?! - which was such a nice way to begin the evening.
We shared a half bottle of Chianti and our server was very helpful with his wine recommendation.
The meatball salad - A Must !!
There were so many entrees and ours were delicious. Definitely need to return to try some of the others.
Extra attentive service from the valet parking attendant.
It was my mom’s birthday, and the the server didn’t put down the pasta I ordered for my mom even though I clearly remember when I pointed that dish to he menu, he repeated the name and wrote it down. Honestly all my stars are going to the food and the chef. The service was horrible, I don’t know why he insisted that I didn’t order the dish. I don’t think I’m ever gonna go back to this place. Horrible experience
Excellent food. Music didn’t fit with the fine dining experience and it was too loud. Will definitely recommend this restaurant for impeccable food
Exceptional service. Wonderful food-well prepared and presented. White truffle risotto is especially tasty!
Very noisy with mediocre service. Food was on par with other Italian places prices similarly.
Food and service were both outstanding!
We had a terrific meal and a terrific waiter!! Love this place!
