There were 6 of us for my moms birthday. The food was amazing, the building is beautiful. Sunday they have their dinner menu all day, so we’re looking forward to going in the summer with our dogs and sit on the patio to try their lunch menu.
It was a beautiful setting and the service was wonderful. Unfortunately, the food was just OK versus the price. I will not be visiting this restaurant again.
Loved everything about our dinner out at the Public Landing food was very good the waitress was awesome and of course you could always wish for lower prices but I guess you
get what you pay for and it was well worth it
We really liked this place, parking is a challenge, but it’s worth searching for. The historic building and warm atmosphere was just the beginning. We sat at the bar, greeted by veteran master of the bar Mary Jo. Expertly made cocktails, attentive service and the food was great definitely heading back soon!
A beautiful building made better because of excellent Christmas decorations. A wonderful setting! Service was spot-on as usual- friendly, fun, knowledgeable. Both Jeff and Harold working in our section are great servers. The food was tremendous as usual. I had the duck and my wife had the chefs weekly special airline chicken arribiatta. Both were excellent, the duck crispy on the outside juicy on the inside, the chicken has a sauce of tomatoes and other vegetables over a cheesy polenta that my wife raved about. You can't go wrong no matter what you order.
Had a great time tonight with my family. They sat us in a room adjacent to bar area and it was perfect. We didn’t know it was there before. It was beautifully decorated and quite enough for my family to have conversation. Food was outstanding and our server Diane was exceptional! Great job!
Overall good food. Maybe not quite worth the price, but it is a nice place with good service.
We had dinner at Public Landing with friends and were a little disappointed in the food. We ordered calamari and it was "fishy" tasting. I order the whitefish with crab and the whitefish was dry and a bit "fishy", and the rice was a bit tasteless. The gentlemen had the salmon and perch and loved their entrees.
I guess I just made a bad choice.
Nice building. Average nicer restaurant. Tried to adjust our order to accommodate a diet preference, and they couldn't. Hadn't been here for years. Probably going to be the same for next time.
Great food and service!!
Delicious food and excellent service. This was our first visit and we will def be going back!
First time and will definitely go again. Loved the atmosphere & service from Debbie was fantastic
As always food was delicious and bar tender was friendly and helpful. Truly enjoy visiting Public Landing , ambience is great. If you haven't gone , you need to.
Ladies night out for dinner and a comedy show! Service was great. We thought we may be tight on time but we were fine and didn’t feel rushed either.
This place is great! What a find! It was our first time at the the Public Landing. We went on a Saturday night. Luckily we made reservations, there wasn’t an empty table in the house. Food was great! Service wonderful. Our server told us they beautifully decorate for the holidays. So we will be bringing our friends and family there to check it out soon!!
I love the ambience but it is a little loud. Our server was fun friendly and efficient. Food was very good. Beet salad is my favorite and my husband's rib eye was excellent! Highly recommemd
I was not too impressed....The food was not as I would have
expected...My waitress was good, but she was not too helpful
in helping us decide...
Crabstuffed Whitefish was to die for and the chocolate mousse was a perfect end to a wonderful evening. Our server Gary was on point with the smiles and our needs were met. Great time.
Our waitress was Great!!!!!!! Super nice place to eat. Great menu!!
Public landing was so beautiful and the food was amazing!
We enjoyed the Hogtoberfest special of the evening pork shank. We love the beauty of the Public Landing and it’s lime stone walls. Every seat in the restaurant is a good one.
Last visit was over the summer on the patio which was very nice. Took a friend out for her birthday. Parking was impossible on that Friday evening due to a wedding taking place at the restaurant. Cold, bright and loud is how I would describe the atmosphere. My friend ordered Southern Fried Chicken strips and they were almost black. I would have sent them back but my friend did not want to cause a fuss. I felt so bad and was embarrassed because I picked the place for her birthday. I know the waitress knew they were overcooked also because she asked if they were ok when she set them down. She should not have served them. My dish included parmesan chips which were every bit as overcooked. Every chip was dark brown with a bitter taste. Prices are far too high for the poor quality of food we received.
I love to visit Public Landing in October! The trees outside the windows boast red leaves glistening in the sun. And that's just the backdrop for a delicious meal!
We come here at least two times per years real quiet treat!
Excellent, friendly service. Food was outstanding!! Ambiance is great. Always a good experience every time we go there.
Public Landing is always good. We were there for lunch. I enjoyed a pick two which was perfect I love the beet salad, especially. I’m glad we had a reservation because it was pretty full even at lunch time. We were celebrating a birthday and they brought us a little chocolate mousse cake with a candle. Overall, it was a great experience.
We went for lunch for a birthday celebration. I love the old rustic feel of the Landing and look forward to going on my birthday. The wait staff are excellent and seem to bend over backwards to help us. We ordered a chicken sandwich which was great. The homemade chips were not as tasty and could use some seasoning.
Overall, our visit was wonderful and I look forward to our next walk down the canal!
I frequently dine at the landing. It is one of my favorite restaurants. And recommend anyone to visit.
Our meal was terrific and the service was impeccable. Top notch, Public Landing keep up the great work. You are our go to restaurant every time my wife and I feel like something nice.
Nice. Potatoes only warm. Lamb chops very good. Did not know they closed at 9 on Friday night. Felt a little rushed even thou we sat down at 7:45.
I enjoyed Public Landing but I ordered the pork October special and I was disappointed in it.
Excellent food excellent service ! Pam was amazing!
We love Public Landings, it is a beautiful venue, with great food. It is one of our favorite place to eat!
Every time we dine at Public Landing, we walk away happy with our taste buds satisfied. The service and food are always on par.
Service tonight was terrible! Took 15 minutes to get a drink and 30 for him to come back and take our dinner order. Dinner came when we had our salads
Public Landing is such a fantastic restaurant. Our group enjoyed the diverse menu and all the various unique offerings. The flavors and depth to each plate were second to none, and the server was easy-going and pleasant. My husband enjoyed his ribeye, he says it’s comparable to that of any of the great steak houses in the city. We kept off our meal with an original mini caramel basket and it was excellent. All their desserts were very unique and tasteful.
When you make a reservation and get to one of your favorite places and the owner knows you well enough to have your bottle of wine ready at the bar for you, that’s great service, and terrific food are 2 of the reasons we continue to come here all the time! Thanks, Dan!
Our steaks were burnt and chewy and they piled potatoes on top to cover it up. the soup sat too long waiting to be served so it had “skin” on the top. The service was friendly and prompt but we will not be going back there to eat.
Excellent service, excellent food, so happy to have found this restaurant. I look forward to going back.
Excellent service and a delicious meal!
