One Eleven Spring Street - The Hotel Windsor
Staffs are extremely warm and professional.
The manager was fantastic , all staff friendly and attentive , the food and champagne was great also
I arrived with an interstate friend and made a last-minute booking for my vegan nephew. This all absolutely fine with the staff. We began with a glass of sparkling wine, after being introduced to the waiter. My nephew received his own cake stand with vegetable sandwiches he said were very tasty. I enjoyed my own sandwiches and cakes, followed by scones. The ambiance was very pleasant. I ended with a huge pot of tea with lemon and we took some photos of ourselves as a souvenir of the visit.
Wonderful place, great staff and sourroundings
We attended the Windsor for my Aunts 84th birthday. She had always wanted to visit and I surprised her. The food was wonderful, the service impeccable, and she is still talking about it to anyone who will listen...and a few who don't lol. She was served a birthday treat with a candle and feels the whole day and experience was special. Thank you Windsor Hotel and staff.
Nothing special to write home about.
The breakfast pastry was annoying - tasted like it was just bought from Coles supermarket and dished out.
"Music ?" could have been turned off completely - too intrusive.
Credit card charge ? I bought a mid-size vehicle recently and paid it all off my credit card. The dealership was quite happy to accept this kind of settlement.
In days of electronic transfer it is not justified.

Memorable Experience at a beautiful iconic building. High Tea at the Windsor is a real delight.
Staff very helpful, food delicious, three different dietary requirements catered for without s problem.
Would definitely recommend when in Melbourne.
From the surroundings, atmosphere, decor, service, bubbly and food all made afternoon tea at The Windsor an enjoyable experience and a great venue for a special occasion.
Lovely afternoon tea - took a while to actually get the afternoon tea on our table but once it finally arrived it was very lovely
Sweets were nice, the savory options were nothing special. The small pies lacked filling.
Staff were slow, unattentive and rude at the end they rushed us out the door before getting an opportunity to try the dessert buffet. They failed to mention the 2 hour seating conditions nor did they flag that we had limited time to visit the Buffet. Wrote to the hotel to provide this feedback and received a very disappointing response.
Very friendly and professional staff.
Would love to go for brekkie again. Beautiful historic restaurant.
This was my first high tea and I was disappointing. When the stand was brought out I was shocked at how bland and sad it looked and what you actually got. The dessert buffet was the only thing that saved the experience for me, but did not like the fact you had to go and serve yourself. No one came and got our tea order, we waited 40 minutes before we ended up going to find someone to order this. The teapot handle was so hot I actually burnt the palm of my hand.
I came with my mum and sister for mother’s day high tea and unfortunately it was overall a poor experience.
The food was not at a great quality nor was the service from the younger waiters/waitresses.
For the amount per head on the day was definitely not well worth it.
We went there to celebrate our anniversary and everything was perfect. The staffs were very attractive and the food was excellent. The whole thing was excellent and we are looking forward to go back there again in the near future.
Excellent service, very friendly hosts,
Beautiful venue, professional service, amazing food. Took my mum there for early mothers day afternoon tea, she loved it. Sandwiches were delicious. Dessert buffet has lots of varieties and then looked beautiful, taste amazing. We will definitely go back again.
The experience was rated as poor I am a regular diner for High Tea, I am an etiquette Expert and bring guests to the Hotel on a regular basis and recommend this hotel too. I even bring my young ladies to learn proper manners for dining etiquette to the restaurant because of the silver service.
Where have the white table cloths gone? The tables look cheap and do not go with the chairs. The chairs I sat on had lipstick on it and tatty. We did not have any table service, tea was not poured.
If was something nice to do with my mum
Great high tea in an historic location
Lovely afternoon tea for my partners birthday. We were given the vegan option which i had requested online at the time of booming and the food was delicious. The only thing i would suggest to add to the experience would be to play some sort of classical music to add to the ambiance of the venue. Overall a great visit.
Lovely afternoon tea. Perfect for a special family occasion especially for older family members as the service and noise level were particularly suitable.
All staff engaged in a friendly, welcoming and accommodating manner. Food was delicious and fresh. Each item of the afternoon tea had its own distinct and subtle flavour. The pace of each serving could be dictated by us, and we did not feel rushed at any stage. Very relaxing ambience.
The high tea was wonderful, so much beautiful food and so much choice. The service was outstanding.
We had a wonderful time and the staff were just great
Exceptional service and a dessert buffet that caters for anyone’s sweet tooth!
What a blissful spot for a girlie catch up, food was devine & the sparkling was even better.
The Wondsor is an engagement with Melbourne's culture and history. I was glad we chose it fir thus very special occasion. The staff were terrific, but the room was not the ambience of traditional luxury expected. There was lits of good food but only a few items really stood out for the price. The bubbly, however, was terrific.
Re the cost, we had expected to have a senior's discount but this did not happen - was not an appalling failing but should be noted.
In sum - to mark a once in a lifetime event TWH is great. But there are better places and menus around ...
Everything was executed perfectly from entry to exit. The service was fantastic and the food was delicious. We couldn’t fault it.
Lovely place to have high tea for a special occasion
The building is beautiful and this was the feature
However the high tea was less than my expectations. The tea went cold as teapot lids did not fit and we had to ask for replacements to only receive the same pots with fresh tea.
Also in regards to the scones - the table was set with cream and jam but we had to ask several times for our scones and when they finally arrived they were just warm
Sorry but I did not feel that there was value for money.
The service at The Windsor is fantastic. I could not fault it. The ambience is lovely and the food is awesome.
We loved our afternoon tea experience. Very friendly staff. Beautiful food. So many dessert choices from the buffet. Loved my English breakfast tea and my glass of bubbles. Would love to go again.
Our waiter was excellent and set the scene for an enjoyable high tea from the start. We were celebrating two birthdays and an engagement and each received a special plate from the restaurant. A lovely touch. Our vegan friend was very impressed with the lovely items on their platter.
Perfect high tea. Exceptional service and exquisite atmosphere. Can't wait to do it again.
Great afternoon tea
Catered really well for Gluten free needs
Would recommend this to anyone looking for a great afternoon tea in a lovely great service
Perfect day to celebrate the wife’s birthday an added surprise was a little slice of cake with a candle and happy birthday written in chocolate on the plate and a quick rendition of happy birthday by the One Eleven Spring Street team.
Finished off a great experience
Had a wonderful afternoon tea, service was excellent and the food extremely tasty. Would certainly recommend the Hotel Windsor and am looking forward to a further visit.
Service and food was highly inconsistent. Male waiters were very professional; female was abrupt. No champagne refills although other tables receiving theirs. A delay in ordering our tea/coffee and food tray. All wait staff very attentive to clearing things though.
Food wise, all the savouries doughy/dry. Sandwiches very good. Refill of the dessert bar was delayed resulting in missing out some dishes.
Not a polished, seamless, happy experience at the price.
Everything was wonderful. The noise level rose at times, as ladies greeting each other and enjoying the experience was evident, which adds to the ambience.
The only negative, which is happening all too often sadly, was the young lady at the table beside us who constantly had her phone in her hand and seemed more interested in that than the experience, her poor date looked dejected. Perhaps it could be requested that phones are turned to silent and used in limited amounts or am I just an old fashioned old lady?
I’ll definitely be back but won’t make the mistake of eating breakfast in the morning
