1913 Restaurant & Wine Bar
Had a great evening- but the bar ran out of my favorite bourbon 🤨 (Breckinridge). Impressive booze list. LOVE the homemade ricotta.
1913 is a great in Roselle. Great selection of wine. Very good appetizers and entrees that are better then some downtown restaurants.
Great place for dining for special occasions . Plenty of room between tables that give you privacy.
Food is always fabulous
Way over-priced for the portion sizes.
Had the salmon special and paid $28 for about a 6 oz. piece of salmon, a few cucumber slices and some mashed sweet potatoes. All alacarte without even soup or salad.
Was probably worth $15 at best and that would be a stretch.
Obviously paying for all the staff and the ambiance in a restored 1913 building.
Food was so good
Service and food were awesome! Pecan pie was fantastic! Definitely will be back.
Overall great service, food and ambiance. We definitely will go back
Birthday for daughter
This place is AMAZING. Eunice was our server and she was THE BEST EVER. Food was excellent, as always. This place can EASILY compete with the city restaurants!
What a fabulous spot! And you have Ted Schooner by Caymus, one of my favorites. Cheryl, our server, was lovely and helpful. We have a cheese plate, spinach and beet salad and the shrimp. All were excellent. I cannot wait to be back out in Roselle so I can try other menu items and of course orser the wine!
My family loves eating at 1913. We always have a fantastic experience!
Yunez was our server and she was phenomenal. Recommendations on specials delicious!! Awesome food at 1913.
What a great place for dinner. My wife and I were coming back from Schaumburg and stopped in 1913 and so glad we did. After a friendly greeting by the hostess we saw the large bar, high ceilings and lovely artwork. I had the halibut special and my wife the scallops.....both just outstanding. The cocktails were great too. Our waiter was attentive but seemed to lack personality but we will definitely return here again.
We enjoyed our dining experience from start to finish. Food was excellent (coffee as well!).
Very helpful waiter, assisted my wife with wine and food selection.
Keep it going!
Bring back the British Navy.
A little chilly in back area.
Always look forward to the specials.
One of my favorite places. I think it's the best in the area. Food and service are always exceptional. Menu is innovative and the specials always are delightful and well prepared. Fish dishes are always fresh. Good wine selection and reasonably priced. I can return time and again and never get bored. Owner is present and gets to know you.
The beef rib was superb, as well as the Duck Confit!
The Pecan pie was amazing! I would go back just for dessert!
We always go back to see what new offerings 1913 has.
We are looking forward to our next visit with visiting friends.
This time I think we will try several appetizers as small plates
and enjoy the wine and beer bar.
As always the service and food were great! Such a great place!
Always a sure thing at this place.... Sit in Dave's section !!!!!
Server was slow, rude. When I asked what the catch of the day was...he said "I'm Getting to it"
When my wife asked for extra blue cheese for her salad he rolled his eyes at us and walked away. No yes or no etc. just brought it over in a bit.
When I asked for ketchup and steak sauce- A1, he says- "the steak sauce on your steak from the kitchen?"
I said no, A1, again roll of the eyes. I told him to just bring ketchup never mind the sauce.
BTW..our first time there.
Food was great! We had a nice Birthday get together!
Great food, great service, great atmosphere!
Outstanding! Will go back for sure and recommend to friends!
We celebrated another’s Day at 1913. The food was delicious and service was great! Creative and delicious menu items!
Mother’s Day lunch.
This was our first time trying 1913 for a dining experience (first visit was for a private event). The service was very slow, including drinks and server checking if we needed anything. I was expecting more specials for the Mother's Day holiday and there was nothing-food and drinks alike. The price of the food was higher than expected, and none of us left overly impressed or satisfied. For a dining experience, I don't plan on coming back. The bar area is cute and may be nice to grab a drink in given it's convenient downtown location.
I hope they open during day time!
At least would like to know a special occasion that open the restaurant during lunch.
We were a little disappointed with the menu choices. We have dined there several times over the past few years and do not remember having this hard of a time finding something appealing to order. The food was fair, the service was good, the prices seemed high for what it was.
Fantastic restaurant! The food was excellent, particularly the fried olive and mushroom polenta appetizers. We will definitely be returning.
We love 1913. Was dissappointed that I had a confirmed Open table reservation but the restaurant did not have it on there computer
We had a lovely evening here, I cannot wait to return. Our server was attentive and knowledgeable. She made a number of wine recommendations, all of which were outstanding. The food was delightful as well.
Waitress was rude, food was cold. Waitress attitude went sour when we decided to not order a bottle of wine. After that she was not attentive and certainly did not make us feel welcome. We were a table of five. When our food arrived, half our meals were good (not excellent). The other half; pork chop was way over done, chicken was cold, and pasta was sticky gooey like it had sat around a while. Some say we should have complained right to the wait staff, I feel I did not go out to diner to get into a confrontation about sub par service. We will not go back.
We enjoy 1913 so much for their small plates to share, esp the polenta and mushroom dish! We also love red wine and are a huge fan of the Treana. The servers are friendly and the food is always served within a reasonable amount of time. Look forward to visiting 1913 again soon.
Great food and service
Consistently delicious, fresh and beautifully presented food! The homemade ricotta is like nothing I’ve ever tasted!! Brilliant. GREAT cocktails!
This was not our usual 5 star experience.
1913 consistently delivers! We've been there at least 6-7 times in the past 8 months and everything is always terrific. The servers are so helpful and friendly--we've had Eunice, TJ and Mark and they were all fantastic. Great wine selection, they have Macallan 18, and can make any cocktail (made a paper plane perfectly). The ribeye was so tender and well-seasoned (we all had to have a taste). Short-rib lasagna, shrimp risotto and pasta specials are always good. Must always end with the zeppoles, caramel sauce and gelato! Can't wait to go back!
Love this restaurant. The Scallops with Cream Corn and artichokes was amazing. Grilled Romain...delicious. Took home onion soup since it’s the best around. Pecan pie dessert...no words.....so yummy. The only negative was the Gru Moltapuciosno is no longer on the wine list. And, with the proximity, a few more Lynfred wines would be great. I recommend this place to everyone.
Good food. Friendly service. Nice atmosphere. It was a good place to catch-up with some friends. Weren’t rushed in the least. Very accommodating to a friend with a walker due to an injury.
My friend and I dined here this past Wednesday; this was both our first times visiting. Made a reservation on OpenTable, and the table was ready when we arrived. We had a table close to the windows, nice ambiance, and the noise level was great.
With this being both our first times dining here, we did take some time to decide on what we wanted (primarily because multiple dishes seemed delicious, hard to decide), but our waitress was very patient with us. We ordered two green salads (champagne vinaigrette), PEI mussels, meatball sliders, brussels sprouts, and spinach with garlic. Salads came out first, then all appetizers and vegetables at once. Everything was perfectly seasoned and delicious. Afterward, we headed into the bar for an apéritif before leaving. The atmosphere was more vibrant, yet laid-back. Our bartender Pete recommended one of his favorite scotch, which was fantastic.
Overall, I had an enjoyable dining experience and would return!
