The food and service were phenomenal. I don’t know what’s in the cornbread but it’s addictive!

First off, this place is more of a takeout/eat-in spot as opposed to your traditional restaurant with a dedicated wait staff. Don’t be misled by the fact that they are on open table and take reservations. With that expectation set, the food here is phenomenal and worthy of multiple visits. The chef here is very humble and even made an appearance to see how we were enjoying our meal, and please believe that it was thoroughly enjoyed.

Absolutely Amazing! Everything at this restaurant is top notch including the executive chef. We ordered multiple items off the menu and not a single one was disappointing, they were all DELICIOUS!! We drove 45 minutes to try 50kitchen and we will be making the drive a lot more often. I highly recommend 50Kitchen and suggest you try it out no matter how long the drive!

The chef takes care to have an authentic flavor reminding you of a true southern comfort food. The food is made upon your order so your plate is hot, fresh off the stove. The service is friendly and attentive.

Clearly this place is popular as it fills up pretty fast. Which has the potential to delay orders a little but well worth the wait.

Food was delicious. COVID precautions are taken seriously and the service is wonderful. Will gladly come back again and again in the future!

Best shrimp and grits in Boston - bar none!

The shrimp and grits were great! Chef came out to my table to chat about the food. He made us feel welcome/right at home! Going back soon to try these “gumbo” rolls soon. I hear they are spectacular!

It was recommended by open table for outdoor patio dining. Umm you do no service, open table, to misrepresent an otherwise great restaurant by doing that. “Patio dining” was a wooden platform on the street. A busy street. With noise and fumes.
We ended up taking it out to go. Food is EXCELLENT and will be back for more. Especially the shrimp and grits. Perfect.
But please. Get it together open table with what you categorize as patio dining winners.

Wonderful experience. Amazing food. Had the chance to meet Chef Anthony and hear his story. He has a good outdoor space for dining. Reasonable prices and very interesting food.

This place was AMAZING. The staff was extremely welcoming and friendly throughout the evening and were very attentive despite being a little busy. The food though!! Everything we ordered was delicious, will definitely be back to try other items on the menu. The story behind 50Kitchen is very inspiring as well, really appreciate the owner and head chef's willingness to share the deeper meanings behind the restaurant and behind every dish. Gotta check this place out.

I heard wonderful things about 50Kitchen and chef-owner and I am so glad we came! We ate outside which was nice- a bit noisy but that is to be expected w. traffic etc. My friend had the barbecue ribs which she loved. Had to bring some home as she was full. I had the fried chicken with waffles. I could not eat all the waffles - they were huge. Chicken was excellent and so were the accompanying sauces. We definitely plan to come back and try other choices on the menu. Salmon looks enticing!

Food was amazing!

It’s more of a takeout place vs an eat in restaurant. They do have glass dividers for the few tables that they do have.

Food was okay. The serving size for side choices are small. The cornbread is delicious. The pork ribs are good but bring your own steak knife for cutting. They only have bread knives available.

Cauliflower mash was also very good.

If dining in, you have to order the food on the app. The waitress service is on request only, meaning you have to beckon someone over to answer your food questions.

I wouldn’t eat in anymore but will order something to go. Menu is extremely limited.

Eclectic menu! Delicious food! The staff was great - really friendly!

We ate on the patio. 3 words- Jambalaya egg rolls. And the other surprise- collard greens and kimchi. Amazing, who would of thought of that combination Pulled pork excellent. Anthony even came to the table and told us about the food and his personal favorites.
Can’t wait for next time. Im trying the cheesy grits.

I absolutely fell in love with this spot. The food is AMAZING. I had the chicken and waffles, and it was beyond delicious! The portion was big and the price was right! The atmosphere was cool and relaxing. The music fueled my good mood. I'll definitely be returning. 💯✊🏾

The food (Shrimp and Grits, Fried Corn Bread) were amazing. Because of COVID-19 outdoor dining was a little noisy but the food more than made up for that. I'm going back again this week with another friend to try a different dish.

We had an outstanding meal on the patio. Highly recommend the cornbread and chicken sliders in particular. We’ll be back!

50 Kitchen was amazing! I especially loved the crispy ribs and the Honey fried cornbread 😋.The shrimp & Grits we’re out of this world as well! Chef Cauldwell made everyone feel at home on the patio.

I would highly recommend trying this place if you’re ever in the fields corner area of Dorchester. It’s feels so good to support a local business and actually love their food !
