The only reason why i marked down on ambience was because we had a table in the middle with traffic arpund us having to pull in and out
I think their should be smaller proportions
i had a pasta and i think there was too much in it
The staff were absolutely excellent and very pleasant...…………...………….
Need to update online menu. I like to know what im going to order before I go to restaurants because I don't eat meat but when we got there the menu was different so I was extremely limited in what I could order. Chips and dips to start were lovely. Vegetarian sliders for main were quite sickly. Parmesan fries not the may west and my partner had ribs which were dry and didn't have a lot of meat on them. Prices are too high as well.
Lovely Evening thank you
We had a lovely table but they seemed a tad understaffed as it took a while to even order a drink. 4 of our party opted for the half chicken but they had run out!! Get more chicken in!!!!! 🐔Otherwise it was a very pleasant experience and we will definitely be back.
Staff were very efficient, our seat was gorgeous, right beside the stove. Everyone was happy with what they ordered. The chicken tacos, burgers and flatbreads were all so nice.
I'm a regular customer at 5 rock and as per usual, the food and service was lovely. However the heat in the building was unbearable on Saturday night. We were seated beside a wood burning stove, which was topped up twice while we were there. The heat was so over bearing that I left the majority of my main course. We moved and sat at the bar to finish our drinks but at that point we had overheated so much we actually had to leave. Saturday night was mild. It wasn't necessary to have all radiators and fire on. Not a pleasant experience.
As usual great service. Steaks are fab. We had a lovely evening with friends . Would highly recommend.
Lovely meal, friendly staff, warm and cosy with the wood burning stove (although the diner at the next table kept opening the door to smoking area/beer garden, which let a blast of cold air and smoke into the dining room throughout the later half of our meal, very annoying!). The tables are very close together at the front of the restaurant, so not much privacy when trying to have a conversation!
Food was lovely but portions were quite small. Service was very good initially but we were left to our own devices towards the end of the meal. Overall a good experience and I would be recommending to friends with a couple of caveats.
Great restaurant with very tasty food and friendly staff - loved the flaming stove which kept us toasty on such a cold October night.
Really enjoyed our night out. Food and service excellent
Food here was tasty but overpriced. Particularly poor was the Bruschetta starter for 8 or 9 euro which consisted of three very small pieces of bread with cheese & tomato. It was tasty but should have been twice the size for the price. Similarly, the half roast chicken which I had with tacos came with 4 very small taco shells. All the food was of good quality but was not value for money.
We tried three dishes from the small plates menu plus one side. The lamb and smoked haddock dishes were very tasty, but the flat bread accompanying the lamb was bland, dry and biscuit like. The duck tacos were awful, the meat was very dry and did not taste good. Creme brûlée desserts were good, but a little runny. Personally I’m not a fan of the high banquette seating, the foot ledge is too shallow, a conventional table and chair is far more comfortable.
Food and service was great just the seating where we where put wasnt great
Very tasty, friendly staff, will definitly go back
Super food, amazing staff x
Great staff, lovely food at reasonable prices. Restaurant has lovely decor with lovely atmosphere. Were waiting quite awhile for main course, but we were in no great hurry....so had another bottle of wine.
I was meeting a colleague there for a business dinner. Rob and the girls organised a booth for us so we could discuss our business and really took care of both of us. Food was fantastic and the guys really looked after us. Its fantastic to be looked after perfectly especially when it was an important meeting. Thank you to Rob and the girls.
There is a great ambiance in 5Rock and the food was very good. However the booths are too small for 6 adults, much too cramped, in addition we had to ask for service a number of times throughout the meal. Finally we chose to walk home (living locally) but 2 members of the group had to find bathroom facilities urgently on the way home for gastric problems. The only thing in common was they had a few pints of "howling gale"??
Food was fine, took my parents for lunch. Lamb Chops starter as a main course , dad had fish and chips I had the ribeye. Truffle chips were very nice and onion rings nice and crispy. Thought the ribeye was a bit pricey but of a good quality cut. Nothing to put me off returning again. Staff were friendly, but kept putting lime in my Coke when I asked for it to be omitted.
Great service and amazing food! Loved the interior too
Food was gorgeous but please bring back the churros.
Really enjoyable family evening. Brilliant service food and ambiance. Always enjoy and gets better
Great food ,nice wine, music playing was great, waiting staff where great, we will be back
Undercooked food, slow service rude manager , would not recommend !!!
The waiter was lovely young lad but kitchen under staffed waited over hour in between courses. My friend steak was blood red. Duck was dry. Got 3 free deserts came out with 2 and after asking 10 mins later got the 3rd. Very poor food and organisation. Not big enough kitchen and enough staff for a restaurant. Bad management.
Great atmosphere. Always great food and service. Very relaxing by the harbour. Had a great sunset as a bonus.
Loved the chips and dips. Very relaxed restaurant with lovely food and just the right level of attentiveness from servers. Will be back.
while we enjoyed the food it was hugely overpriced for very small portion, have been to better in Skerries
Lovely eater , service and food was very good. We will be back
Great food, great service and a lovely setting. Highly recommend
Absolutely loved our dinner there, service was exceptional and very accommodating and welcoming to families, would highly recommend, food was superb also
Service was fast and staff was very friendly.
Food was delicious. Well presented.
Only hiccup was one dessert came and was left waiting for the second dessert. When second dessert came I had to request spoon to eat as it was not provided. This was down to new staff I imagine and not typical service.
Had very nice fillet steak bit on small size doe for 32 euro as veg ect is extra
Overall would recommend restaurant
Good food , more cider selection on tap would be good
The food was delicious to be fair, but our overall experience was not great. We shared chips and dips to start and boneless chicken wings. The chicken wings were a clear winner and I'd recommend those. I thoroughly enjoyed my duck tacos although the portion size for a mains was quite small. My husband had the trio of sliders which were delish, the lobster roll was enjoyable but lacking something and the featherblade steak was perfect. We all enjoyed our brownies for dessert and were happy with that choice, though we miss the churros from the old menu. Coffee was watery and disappointing. Our waitress appeared confused at any questions and didn't really address anything properly; queries about the menu / specials, questions about food when it arrived and a complaint my husband had as he cut his finger on a sharp piece of metal wire protruding from the seat. She did offer a plaster and said she wouldn't have noticed if he hadn't said so thanked him for showing her. Good and all as the food was I dont think I'd be pushed going back given the service.
Good food, Our service lady Ava was very good. She was always smiling, very attentive and made us feel very comfortable. We will be back.
