Alexander's Craft Cocktails and Kitchen was named after the distillery located on the grounds from 1861-1865, which washed away in a flood (historic marker located between the restaurant & The Manor).

The newly renovated main bar is located on 1st floor, and opens onto expansive wrap-around, creekside porches. Just a few steps down from the porches is an open deck situated beneath gracious Live Oak canopies.

The warm aubergine & copper walls of the third floor lounge contrast the amazing art representation from local galleries. The stunning view of Salado Creek as well as the grounds of the neighboring estate provide the perfect spot to enjoy your favorite beverage. Patrons choose from a variety of entree selections, appetizers, and adult beverages.

We enjoyed our lamb chops and the filet. The medium rare was on the rare side but we enjoyed both. We love the atmosphere and our waitress made the evening extra special.

It is always a lovely experience to dine at Alexanders. we had the fly and the chop salad and that was the best dinner I’ve had anywhere. I love the opportunity to have luxury dining in a relaxed atmosphere.

The good first: unbelievably good ribeye. The seasoning was absolutely perfect!! Also loved the peach colada cocktail and the chocolate mouse with kahlua sauce for desert. We were disappointed in the wait time for a food.. took nearly an hour and the place wasn’t full . Then , some of the items like mashed potatoes were lukewarm, so that was a problem. They served us complimentary champagne (or prosecco?) to celebrate a birthday so that was an unexpected gift. Our guests were thrilled with the atmosphere outside too.. very beautiful!

We always love Alexander’s. The food & service is consistently excellent. We adore Clara our server, had the pan seared tenderloin which is always perfection. Great way to celebrate our 54th anniversary! The whole staff is outstanding!

The twice baked potato looked fabulous, but it was cold. Had it reheated and it was still cold. Their Mac n cheese was fabulous and so was the tenderloin and pork chop~

Food was delicious. Loved the atmosphere. Our server was phenomenal. There were two very loud parties there, one group of friends and a family with small children. We didn’t really mind.

Since this is a return visit for us, I'd say we've been very pleased with the food and service. We will certainly return too. The menu is inventive, and we love sitting up in the 3rd floor lounge area.
