Delicious meal with great cocktails!
Lovely location with loads of outdoor dining.
Our daughter loved the new kids menu.
We celebrated our 56th anniversary Saturday night at Alley and Vine. It was perfect. The evening was warm and we were in a pleasant outdoor setting surrounded by bushes and trees with an outdoor heater. We both had the burrata salad, eggplant main dish, and chocolate pot de creme. The food was delicious and unique with a few ingredients that were new to us. The biscuit gave us a taste of caviar and the champagne was exceptional. The staff was quite friendly and fun to talk to. They also added chocolate truffles to the celebration. We definitely will return with family and/or friends.
Fine. Nothing very special IMO.
All the food was excellent. The tomato soup with lobster was amazing!
Extraordinary dining experience.
Amazing food and flavors. We will be back.
Love this place! Such a wonderful brunch experience
Love this place. Excellent service and beyond amazing food.
I've been here once before for dinner which was excellent so we were thrilled to come back to see what brunch was like. Did not disappoint! We had the duck liver toast to share - it was a perfect starter. The liver had a whipped, creamy texture that was smooth and delicious. For my main, I had the soft-cooked egg mademoiselle duck confit. Excellent! My partner had the poached eggs with shaved prime rib - I had a bite and it was also superb! Alley and Vine never disappoints, and we will definitely return for more. Highly recommend!
Highly recommended. Unique combinations of flavors, perfect portion sizes, delicious food.
This place was a treat! The food was amazing and service was great, too. Highly recommend this for a birthday or special night out.
It was good. Thought the portions were pretty small and overall Kindof overpriced
a very welcome addition to the upscale end of the alameda dining scene.
I love restaurants with a high ceiling and a high floor. If one thing is off, I can't trust the place. We had impeccable food, service, and ambiance. It's 40 minutes from my house (I went bc a friend is local) but I'd probably be willing to drive back it was so enjoyable.
amazing place with delicious food. will definitely go back!
Small portions, bloated prices, mediocre service, food spotty. Won’t return.
The trout was fantastic. Love that they have mocktails for DD
Loved every dish, the ambiance was perfect. I want to go back immediately.
Definitely, a "Treat Ourselves" night out that was spectacular. The food and service were superb. It was everything we hoped for and more. Can't wait to go back.
Great food, creative cooking, wonderful and knowledgeable server in a beautiful and relaxing setting.
Delicious, wonderful restaurant. Every aspect from the starting bites to the bar menu fit perfect together. I can’t wait to see the menus of coming seasons.
Serpent cucumber ‘sunomono’ salad, charentais melon gazpacho, salt spring mussel escabeche, seared duck liver, house caviar, olive oil poached albacore tuna, confit duck leg, strawberry eclair… so many delicious bites.
Our server answered all our questions without pause + you could tell the entire staff wanted to be there.
So happy an experience like this is available in Alameda. Alley & Vine fits in great here and is worth a trip from the East Bay, SF and beyond.
+ they had a grasshopper on the dessert beverage menu. Gotta love it!
My wife and I shared the California caviar and California champagne to start, followed by the confit duck and the aged ribeye steak. The caviar was very like Caspian osetra; smooth light grey eggs, mild taste, not crunchy (unfortunately). Both entrees were excellent; the aged beef really gave the ribeye a distinctive flavor. We brought our own wine after having consulted the menu online; $35 corkage fee. No room for dessert.
The service was top notch, professional, and happy (which is rare). We were seated outside at the edge of a parking lot, but boxed plants made it seem less urban. As the temperature cooled, we were provided with a propane space heater right away. We had prepared ourselves for a pricey evening and we got that. It was not so expensive as to harm the experience; we left euphoric and found ourselves remarking on our meal and experience for days afterward.
Nice range of wines offered by the glass, even multiple sparkling wines. A pedestrian alley runs right through A&V's outdoor dining area, which turned out to be a pleasant feature for people and dog watching.
Given the prices I can't say we'll be coming here every week, but we will readily return to A&V when the occasion warrants.
Really lovely restaurant and has a great atmosphere. The servers and the owner were very attentive. I would have like to have seen a few more entree selections but I had the duck and it was wonderful. One tiny thing I wanted to mention. I asked for a special birthday dessert for my friend ( requested this on my reservation) and the restaurant generously brought out two lovely little chocolate truffles on a plate, but I was hoping for a piece of cake with a candle, but my friend was perfectly happy with his dinner. I would certainly go back!
Delicious food. Really friendly, kind staff. Will definitely come back!!
All the staff we encountered were friendly and welcoming. We enjoyed everything about our brunch at Alley & Vine. We shared a starter and had two of their entrees. We thought all three dishes were delicious. We definitely plan on going back.
A small unassuming location hidden away in Alameda that is hiding spectacular food and a cute patio. The interior is slightly dated, but you’ll forget about that quickly once the food begins to arrive. Too notch cuisine and a great place for a date or casual dine
Wonderfully casual setting with friendly, knowledgeable wait-staff and delicious food. The duck confit was perfect!
Amazing! New favorite restaurant in Alameda. It's a bit pricey, but so worth it!
Another fabulous meal at Alley & Vine. We've tried most things on the menu. All outstanding. The wine list is good, the mixed drinks delicious, the food always tastes great. We've enjoyed our servers and feel attended to when we're there.
The servers were reasonably attentive and polite. We ate in a parking lot with heat lamps because of Covid. The atmosphere was enlivened by a vine strung over our heads. Service was a bit slow, but I suppose hunger is the best spice. Portions were dainty because the restaurant is upscale. We ate every morsel on our plates. What there was to eat was tasty. The sparkling mineral water was the best I've ever tasted -- I'll look for it at my grocery store.
The food was not very good. Dried duck and the risotto was a very strong flavor. We have a 2 year old and the waitress wasn’t very understanding about that. Very short and unforgiving. Hopefully she was having a bad day. She seemed like a great person.
amazing food, service and ambiance. I cannot wait to go back.
Food was flavorful and filling. Service exceeded expectations. Outdoor dining was lovely. Would definitely go back.
Outstanding, attentive service, with thoughtful and excellent recommendations. The food and cocktails were delicious. One of the best higher-end restaurants in Alameda. Great addition to the island.
Exceptionally fine restaurant in lovely location in Alameda, with service to match.
Great meal and fantastic service! This was our second time there and they have really found their grove. So nice to have a place like this in Alameda. Great use of the outdoor space too.
I had brunch, and the food was exceptional. I cannot wait to come back for dinner.
I ordered mocktail drink (so yummy) and the soft boiled eggs madamoiselle. The flavors complimented each other perfectly.
The service was also excellent, and the outdoor dining area was very cute.
Alameda is fortunate to have this new addition to Park Street dining. Did I mention I can’t wait to come back?
This is the best restaurant in the East Bay! The food is phenomenal and the service is amazing. One friend has many food sensitivities, and the chef came to our table to discuss it with her. It was such a caring thing to do.
Plus, the atmosphere for the outside dining is terrific. There is not any auto traffic and the "vine" setting is lovely.
I highly recommend this restaurant.
Great atmosphere and service. The menu is small so we didn’t have too many options for non-meat eaters. Most items were good, great presentation, tho on the pricey side for the amount of food. Not sure we’d go back given the limited options.
