Wonderful food, great staff, first rate cocktails!
Amazing food, wonderful little plates for communal eating. Chef and staff really took great care of us as my partner has some allergies. We have eaten there twice and there have not been any issues on the allergy front and the flavours are really amazing.
Professional, friendly staff paired with excellent food and creative cooking. Would recommend a visit, I will be returning many times. Now one of my top favourite restaurants.
We loved our meal. What a feast. And Chef Luis accommodated our GF DF guest's dietary restrictions wonderfully. We'll be back!
Great lunch spot and healthy eats. Definitely going to have to go back and try the brunch and dinner
Outstanding food. Excellent Service. Manager went out of her way to make everyone feel welcome. 5/5 Experience
This is my new favourite restaurant in Halifax. Each of our dishes (7 for 4 people) was delicious and very uniquely prepared. The staff were friendly and very attentive. (One of our dishes got missed in the order, otherwise service would have been 5 stars). But the waitress was quick to offer to put the order back in. Great value for the imaginative creations we enjoyed. We all loved the sour dough “ bread pudding” and pork cutlets. The crispy rice was also amazing. Dessert was divine and shared by all. We will return soon I hope.
We had a reservation for 6:30 and our previous meeting finished early. We arrived one hour early for our reservation and they graciously seated us early. Our server was wonderful, explained the menu and made recommendations. From our first drink to our dessert and espresso it was an amazing meal.
Loved it. Food was incredible. Menu offered a terrific variety.
For a new restaurant they need to be more aware of when a customer is not happy and do something about it. Two of us ordered meals that we couldn't identify when they arrived at our table. They were so "deconstructed" and bizarre we were sure they belonged at another table. We told our waitress twice that we did not like what we had been served and she just smiled a left. At the end of the meal, she asked us how we liked it. We told her quite clearly for the third time that we didn't. The second to final blow was when we asked for the check and she wanted to give us boxes to take it home. By now we had totally given up. The final blow was when the bill arrived for the full amount of the meals. Any where else would have offered an alternative, a free dessert or reduced/eliminated the bill.
Staff were very confused, service was slow and got worse when the place filled up with people just wanting a coffee and the same staff waited on theme. This place definitely needs to push the pause button and reexamine itself.
Birthday supper, about to try what looks to be a scrumptious menu of local organic, (elevated)farm to table, many choices & a different way of laying out the menu, meant for sharing, but by the amazing smells of the kitchen, neither one of us may want to share🤔! If I was Siskel & Ebert, I'd give it 2 thumbs up, 👍👍 even though they were entertainment, but the entertainment here is the friendly atmosphere, service, the aromas & presentation of the plates & the experience of the newest North End funky urban chic café /restaurant.We went with the "appetizer type item" then paired with that. It was recommended that you choose 3 items which makes up a meal, then you share. The most awesome way of ordering!
It's a new place so it needs a bit of adjustment for growing pains. That said, I see the potential. The food is wonderful although inconsistent (a few of us ordered the same thing, each plate was different + or - items). The service was scattered but friendly. Prices are great considering the portions are big. Will go again soon!
