Altiro Latin Fusion - Roscoe Village
The tacos were a bit dry and bland in taste. The drinks were decent however.
Bourbon fest was going on in Roscoe village so there was a limited menu. Food was good but service was horrendous! It wasn’t jammed with people but I’m guessing it could have been worse. Silverware was difficult to acquire & food came out scattered through the evening. I’m hoping the distractions were from the festival or this place will be shuttered pretty soon.
It's a superb restaurant when stunningly good food.
Great food and super friendly staff. Our waitress gave us great recommendations. The Al Alambre was amazing! I’ll definitely go back for that and the al pepino cocktail. Great addition to our neighborhood!
From the outside it looks like a nice trendy Latin Eatery, once you get in you notice how cramped and loud it is....the music was so loud I could not have a conversation with the person next to me. We ordered two drinks and left right away. The drinks were good , a little overpriced. We would have stayed for food but we so cramped and the seating is uncomfortable we headed out.
Every time we eat here I can't wait to return. Drinks are exceptional.
This place is the gem in Roscoe village. Don’t let those tacos get too small guys. The lunatics are very complimentary
Date night with my wife. I would say that the experience was “fine”. The food was average, we liked two dishes, disliked the pialla and found the guacamole to be “fine”.
I asked for a Paloma, was told they don’t have the ingredients, which I find odd at a Latin fusion restaurant. Price was more than the value.
I’ll likely pass in the future.
We really enjoyed the restaurant. The selection of tapas is wonderful and we really enjoyed the meal. The beverage selection is very good, and we really liked the sangria and the selection of beers that were offered. The tables were small, but adequate. The bench was nice, but the chair was difficult to sit on - it always felt like it was possible to fall. Not stable for an average size person.
Thank you for the lovely evening.
Flavorful Latin food. Attentive service. Prices were on the high side.
What a hidden gem.... great delicious food and helpful staff. Check it out!
Cozy and intimate the space was great for a dinner with a friend on a Friday night. The cocktails were delicious as was the food.
I kept smelling air freshener the whole time. I looked over and there it was plugged into the wall. Definitely not something I want to smell at a restaurant. Guac didn’t seem fresh. Food was just okay.
Despite the confirmed reservation and stated business hours, we arrived to find that the restaurant was closed. Nothing was posted on the door of the restaurant to indicate why it was closed unexpectedly.
Friends took us here and we really enjoyed it. We were going to theatre at Timeline with friends and
we decided to meet here for an early dinner before the show. It was great.
When we arrived there and told them about the reservation made via OpenTable, they didn't know what we were talking about. But we were immediately seated as there were plenty of seats. They looked surprised as to why we even made a reservation. We were originally going to go to a nearby place but the wait time will not work out and we needed to get in another place definitely. It took us awhile to find parking in the area, which is mostly residential. The food was good, fancy Mexican if I would describe it. I prefer authenticity when eating ethnic cuisine so I did not favor this flourish well. But they were tasty to be fair. There were several wait staff that brought the food to our table and often confused as to what to put on our table, we were a party of 5. They operate as though they were a new establishment, not quite oiled yet. Perhaps they are still a newly opened business, I didn't ask or tried to find out.
Beautiful looking tasty food with great cocktails with outdoor patio.
Fresh and fun - delicious cocktails and wonderful Latin food. Our table shared tacos and tapas and an appetizer which were all delicious.
The food is excellent! Good for sharing. And the drinks are great, as well. Definitely recommend.
My friend has been here and loved it. I was not as much of a fan. They were out of a number of things when we got there so we had to modify our choices a few times. Maybe it was just an off evening either for me or them or both of us, but it was not an experience that would draw me back although as I noted, my friend enjoyed it more than me and is enthusiastic about going back.
The food and the staff are perfect! Very accommodating and friendly with delicious fusion food! Highly recommend.
Delicious food, interesting fun cocktails and excellent friendly service. We loved it.
Awesome place ! Lamb is amazing !
We booked through open table and when we finally arrived the restaurant was closed. I am a little disappointed in the app and the restaurant for not communicating.
Altiro is right around the block from me and I never been in before. It did not disappoint. The tacos were fantastic and the drinks hit the spot. Seasonal fruit in the guacamole was very tasty and different.
Incredible food, cocktails and service! Our waiter was top notch, very attentive with great food and drink suggestions. Some of the best and most creative cocktails I’ve ever had. Lovely ambiance and can’t wait to go back!
Good portions. Garlic shrimp tacos were very good. Guacamole was decent but I make better at home and you really couldn’t tell the difference between the three different kinds. Had the potatoes and they were good but egg was slightly undercooked (still white goo). Also had the elotes... good but a bit salty.
My favorite thing about this place is the cocktail I get every time, the al jarrito. It is delicious and consistently made. Everyone I have taken here has always really enjoyed their cocktail. Some are creative but they make a really good margarita too. The food itself is good, they are shareable small plates (tapas) so don't expect large portions, but it is slightly over priced.
They have mood lighting, which made reading the menu difficult for those I was dining with. The seating is not all that comfortable but I did enjoy the first time I went and we were able to eat outside.
Tons of great flavors in both the food and the cocktails. Really impressed. Only downside was that there weren't enough bites per dish! We didn't leave hungry, but probably could have ordered 2-3 more plates and not been stuffed.
Ultimately, it was absolutely a treat and we will definitely go back again.
Not enough food for the price
Appetizer patatas Brava was delicious. Steak tacos were great. Garlic shrimp tacos were extremely disatisfying though. Tables way too close together. Would possibly return.
The food was absolutely delicious. The cocktails were excellent too. Great service. Everything was top notch. I will definitely be going back to this place.
We enjoyed our dining experience. The food, beer, wine, martinis and mixed drinks were excellent, as was the atmosphere. The service was very good, though they never brought out the coffees we ordered (we were seated near the door and it was quite chilly). We don't live in the neighborhood, so we drove and there was no valet. There is nearby street parking, but it's a busy area and finding a spot wasn't that easy. So, next time we'll uber and request a seat far away from the door. Small things, not deal breakers, but a good heads-up for other diners.
Best drink menu on Roscoe village! Corn is excellent. Skip skimpy guacamole.
Opentable allowed me to make a reservation but when we arrived they were closed with a sign on the door that said they weren't open that day. I sent a private email to the restaurant via their webpage to inform them that their hours were not in line with opentable and they couldn't be bothered to respond
The best cocktails in Roscoe Village (& beyond)! Corn is amazing....love this spot.
Excellent. Margarita was excellent. We will be back!!
We highly recommend Altiro. Great cozy setting, not too loud. The food was outstanding, especially the papas bravas. All of the food was excellently seasoned. We also really enjoyed the cocktails. The only area for improvement would be the sangria, maybe there was too much brandy? We will definitely be back!
We loved this little neighborhood gem; the service was on point as was the foood. Tacos were excellent and we loved the cocktail choices and dessert (Mexican terimisu)!
Food and cocktails were creative, perfectly executed and very well balanced. We will return!
