Great food, excellent service, great environment even during covid.
The new menu is amazing! We had lunch and the choices were great! I had the quinoa protein bowl. So good! Going back soon. Downtown has a lot of construction. The back was noisy so we sat on the street. Love what Peter and Angelica have done to the front and the back patio is so cute! Very comfortable!
The food was OK and the service was fine. I wouldn’t drive all the way to Redwood City to eat there unless I’m already there.
Food was delicious. Setting tranquil. Staff extremely nice and I felt like an appreciated guest. Can't wait to return.
A+ service. Great setting. Excellent server. Delicious food.
We loved the music
Daughter’s birthday and going into medical school branch.
We had the garden area social distancing was great(which at first I was concerned making reservations) Food was great it was a nice sound off for her.
Bathroom was dirty. Left because it did not feel safe. They still charged us for the drinks
Their outdoor courtyard felt like an European get away. The construction noise was a bit loud but not their fault. Wait staff was friendly and efficient. Crepes were delicious and unique. Great for brunch! Since it’s right in downtown area, you can walk around or grab other snacks/desserts afterwards. Lots of airflow indoors if people choose to eat inside. Hand sanitizer galore, face mask and gloves on servers, disposal menus and proper social distancing for tables.
Service & staffs are very accommodating, friendly & attentive. The inside environment is very inviting with nice atmosphere
I enjoyed my overall experience. Food was good and service was excellent!
We went to lunch & the weather was perfect at 81. Though narrow and long, the side outdoor setting is cozy & decorated like a private garden. Both the crepe & the salad were delicious. Attentive & friendly service added extra warm experience.
Glad to see they were open again but food wasn’t that great to warrant a second visit.
Totally brand new, fresh authentic menu! Impeccable service, very attentive staff.
Service was good but slow. Food was just okay. Nobody in our party was impressed. It was noisy and lively for a Sunday brunch. Sat inside but might try outside next time.
I give 3 stars in hopes that I get blown away when I return.
Menu is interesting but service was so slow. Slow to bring lukewarm coffee, slow to bring food, slow to refill coffee. Seriously slow...
Restaurants cleanliness was not very satisfactory; fresh print for menus would be nice; current menus look and feel like chewed up, spit out and ironed....food was actually pretty good... water served, glasses smelled funny... the outdoor area looked amazing. I love to go back in a few months to see if it has improved. Good espresso.
This was one of the worst dining experiences at an Open Table restaurant.
The hostess was not friendly and inviting.
We waited for almost 45 minutes for our rather simple food order to arrive.
The waitress was communicative yet her promises of our orders "coming up soon" fell flat.
Fantastic food and service 👌
Very excited to have found Angelica's which, with a few tweaks, could go from being a very good dining experience to a great one. The menu is dynamic. The food is fresh, high quality fare. Servers, though lovely, are routinely frazzled and hard to flag down, perhaps due to the way tables are assigned or the vast space they have to navigate. For the price, it would be nice to have a more seamless experience. We'll be back nonetheless.
The ambiance is amazing, and I only eat in the back patio...
The service is wonderful, very attentive and supportive
The food is very good...
Valentines Day. Cute ambiance and nice piano music. Good waitstaff. Did not think cioppino or coq au vin were flavorful or up to standards of other restaurants. But Tuna tartar was good. And good beer on tap.
Service was great, but unfortunately the food we ordered was horrible. It was Valentine’s Day dinner and we thought it would be a memorable evening. We all ordered the NY Strip steak which was $42. Turned out to be very grisly, fatty and very much resembled prime rib atop a mound of untasty mashed potatoes accompanied by petite, undercooked zucchinis and carrots. Did not eat the carrots at all because they were so hard. Both my daughter and husband used their bread late to stack up the fatty meat. Totally disappointed!
I ordered the Salmon on Valentines Day. It was almost raw. Because I was with others I didn’t send it back like I should have. I picked at it but didn’t eat it. Our server seemed very new. She never offered us a drink first, she just gave us the menus and walked away. When she came back she wanted to know we wanted to eat! We said we’d like to order drinks first. Overall I’d like to try them again but I’m very hesitant.
Food, service and happy hour house red were all excellent
The cocktails were quite nice! The calamari was good as was the guacamole. Unfortunately the prime rib was dry and flavorless. This should not happen especially with it served rare. The waitress was nice but not as attentive as I would have expected given they were not busy. Nothing was bad per se but not worth going back
Birthday brunch for friend
I liked the entry path into the restaurant - plants with the outdoor feel. Everything else was just ok, nothing worth coming back for.
We were seated promptly for a 1:30 brunch, requesting an outside table, were seated in the allée/courtyard leading to the front door. Very atmospheric, relaxing piped-in tunes, lots of greenery and shambolic architectural pieces. Lovely! Sort of reminded me of New Orleans.
Our meals were fantastic, (chorizo burrito, hash and eggs, and steak and eggs with beans, salsa, avocado, as was the wine and the chocolate soufflé. Soon after we were seated, a delicious plate of mini muffins arrived slso.
I highly recommend this place. They are so kind, it's relaxing and they sonetimes have live music and the food is wonderful!
This is one my favorite restaurants to visit for brunch time. I brought my 11-year old nephew here for the first time and he absolutely loved the pancakes! Thanks.
Our server Ana was the best thing about this place! We were sat outside and our table was directly under the sun. When i asked to get moved to a different table under the shade one of the managers declined. Once again our server, being super helpful, tried to grab us an umbrella and the man who im assuming was the manager unformed us that it was broken and gave us an "oh well" attitude about it. Did not try and figure something else out- Just left it as is.. I'd spend your money elsewhere
This is our favorite restaurant. My server was the best I have ever had. She was one of the nicest people I have ever met. Outside of the restaurant I know we would be great friends. I will be going back soon just to visit her. The food was unbelievable. I had the the seafood pot pie and my husband had the prime rib shepherds pie. We always eat in the garden. We had the most wonderful time. I had missed going there two weeks ago for my 60th birthday and anniversary and I still got a birthday dessert. Best place ever!!!!
Outstanding food! Generous portions.
Cannot wait to return
Great meal and great service. The garden is beautiful and reflects the owner’s hard work. The only thing I would change/add is a door to hide the ice machine area. It tends to be a little loud.
We're back with two of our ushers at our wedding (40 years). This place continues to impress us with their delicious meals. The Seafood Pie was filled with plenty of fresh seafood and that creamy mushroom sauce was just the right amount for every spoonful of the pie. The crust was excellent! The Shepherd's Pie was also filled with prime rib and plenty of hearty vegetables. The medium rare Prime Rib was cooked perfectly, melts in your mouth goodness. The Chicken Madeira was moist and packed with flavor. We had such a wonderful experience with our friends that we're making Angelica's our top restaurant choice. A must go to diner for sure!
Food is ok, but not great
Pleasant casual venue for brunch, especially sitting outside. Cocktails are delicious, food is fine but unremarkable. Service was great, and location very convenient to attractions.
I was with a party of 5 girls. They didn’t rush us and we stayed and talked for a WILE. The bottomless mimosas were always tipped off. Staff were very nice and attentive. It was a great place for a leisurely Sunday brunch.
Beautiful garden setting that transported us to a sanctuary with such tranquility and serenity! Me and my hubby went for breakfast at 8 am and we were the first guest to arrive on a Sat. The owner Peter was watering each and every plant in the garden (he also designed the entire garden!), that is labor of love! We felt like we were in Europe. Delicious stuffed French Toast and Huevos Rancheros, great coffee and a generous pour of mimosa! Gracious wait staff and wonderful service! Must visit!!
