Birthday brunch for friend
I liked the entry path into the restaurant - plants with the outdoor feel. Everything else was just ok, nothing worth coming back for.
We were seated promptly for a 1:30 brunch, requesting an outside table, were seated in the allée/courtyard leading to the front door. Very atmospheric, relaxing piped-in tunes, lots of greenery and shambolic architectural pieces. Lovely! Sort of reminded me of New Orleans.
Our meals were fantastic, (chorizo burrito, hash and eggs, and steak and eggs with beans, salsa, avocado, as was the wine and the chocolate soufflé. Soon after we were seated, a delicious plate of mini muffins arrived slso.
I highly recommend this place. They are so kind, it's relaxing and they sonetimes have live music and the food is wonderful!
This is one my favorite restaurants to visit for brunch time. I brought my 11-year old nephew here for the first time and he absolutely loved the pancakes! Thanks.
Our server Ana was the best thing about this place! We were sat outside and our table was directly under the sun. When i asked to get moved to a different table under the shade one of the managers declined. Once again our server, being super helpful, tried to grab us an umbrella and the man who im assuming was the manager unformed us that it was broken and gave us an "oh well" attitude about it. Did not try and figure something else out- Just left it as is.. I'd spend your money elsewhere
This is our favorite restaurant. My server was the best I have ever had. She was one of the nicest people I have ever met. Outside of the restaurant I know we would be great friends. I will be going back soon just to visit her. The food was unbelievable. I had the the seafood pot pie and my husband had the prime rib shepherds pie. We always eat in the garden. We had the most wonderful time. I had missed going there two weeks ago for my 60th birthday and anniversary and I still got a birthday dessert. Best place ever!!!!
Outstanding food! Generous portions.
Cannot wait to return
Great meal and great service. The garden is beautiful and reflects the owner’s hard work. The only thing I would change/add is a door to hide the ice machine area. It tends to be a little loud.
We're back with two of our ushers at our wedding (40 years). This place continues to impress us with their delicious meals. The Seafood Pie was filled with plenty of fresh seafood and that creamy mushroom sauce was just the right amount for every spoonful of the pie. The crust was excellent! The Shepherd's Pie was also filled with prime rib and plenty of hearty vegetables. The medium rare Prime Rib was cooked perfectly, melts in your mouth goodness. The Chicken Madeira was moist and packed with flavor. We had such a wonderful experience with our friends that we're making Angelica's our top restaurant choice. A must go to diner for sure!
Food is ok, but not great
Pleasant casual venue for brunch, especially sitting outside. Cocktails are delicious, food is fine but unremarkable. Service was great, and location very convenient to attractions.
I was with a party of 5 girls. They didn’t rush us and we stayed and talked for a WILE. The bottomless mimosas were always tipped off. Staff were very nice and attentive. It was a great place for a leisurely Sunday brunch.
Beautiful garden setting that transported us to a sanctuary with such tranquility and serenity! Me and my hubby went for breakfast at 8 am and we were the first guest to arrive on a Sat. The owner Peter was watering each and every plant in the garden (he also designed the entire garden!), that is labor of love! We felt like we were in Europe. Delicious stuffed French Toast and Huevos Rancheros, great coffee and a generous pour of mimosa! Gracious wait staff and wonderful service! Must visit!!
We arrived at the end of the brunch service, and I am afraid it really showed. They were out of basic items ( scones, french toast, soft drinks), and the servers had clearly been slammed. One told us they had already served 500 folks that morning. As folks left, tables stayed unbiased, the servers wound down, and that left us with a very slow brunch. 45 minutes before the first item, one of the most basic (country breakfast).
It may be an anomaly, given the day's events, but we won't go back. If you do, consider aiming early.
Angelica's was a great experience, and I would strongly recommend it. The quality of the food was great, and the price was quite reasonable. We had a variety of dishes, from steak and eggs to pancakes, and not a single one was disappointing. The venue was somewhat chilly and the food did come out a hair too slow for my liking (the restaurant was only moderately busy at the time, so I think this is a fair criticism) but the quality of the service was excellent and the server was very attentive and patient.
Great place to meet friends. The patio is perfect for late summer nights.
Just as great for dinner as they are for weekend brunch. Sit on the patio for a quieter dining experience on concert nights.
Ate in the patio with friend who had never been there. The garden was beautiful and relaxing. Requested something not on the menu it was willingly prepared and delicious.
The atmosphere was cute and fun, but the food was standard at best. Nothing fresh or local. It was all out of a box, can or jug. Service was a little slow, not terribly friendly, but ok. Wouldn't go back.
AMAZING. Ate outside for brunch and the food and staff were both excellent. Makes me wish I could go more often!
Very nice place service by managers was very good, our waiter seemed inexperienced, mushroom egg & spinach crepe, it was okay, appetizer was very good.
the food was very average, no freshly squeezed orange juice. The service was lukewarm. it was nice to have a variety of seating choices, indoors, on the patio or quieter corners. Everything was adequate, but nothing was fantastic.
We, finally, were able to have breakfast at Angelica's. We were not disappointed. The food was amazing, delicious and oh, so good! I had the homemade Belgium waffle with blueberries. My wife had the corned beef hash and eggs. The ingredients were fresh and prepared to perfection. We would recommend Angelica's to everyone. It's a must experience place. Lots of good eats! We will be back!
Brunch on the patio was lovely. The food was fine, not outstanding, but it was really nice.
Another great evening on the patio at Angelicas! We highly recommend the baked brie appetizer!
Worried when I saw the construction next door, but lunch was great and food was fresh and delicious.
Parking in Redwood City is the challenge, but the place is worth it. Lunch was quiet and uncrowded but I was tempted upon seeing their stage area to come back for music on the weekend.
Cozy atmosphere. Good for Sunday brunch. Nice customer services. Big food. Nice patio. Arrive early to have better seats.
in the summer, must eat in the outdoor backyard! very secluded & surrounded by nice flowers & herb plants. w/ sculptures & huge umbrellas of course. even when next door lot is under construction, the ambience & decors of that side of garden area (entrance patio & backyard) have not suffered any visual impact at all. amazing!
Didn't think we'll be back so soon, but our son and his family were in town. Everyone loved it! The fried calamari and Margherita flatbread were SO good. Each one of us had a different entree which included the salmon, risotto with prawns, prime rib and the special of the night, seafood paella. We shared everything! The food was delicious and done with perfection. This was a great choice and we'll be back again to try the other dishes.
Excellent food and ambiance.
Looking forward to many more visits.
We finally made it to this place! It was a quiet Tuesday night. We wanted to dine nearby so we can check out the Magic Lantern 3D show after dinner. There were several great choices. Hubby had the prime rib shepherd's pie and I had the special of the night, lamb shank. There was a lot of food and it was quite tasty. The service was excellent. Angela was friendly and shared with us the history of the restaurant. We will return for breakfast and lunch. This is a neighborhood gem for sure!
Very enjoyable experience.
This is our Go-To in Redwood City for great food and service. We especially enjoy the breakfasts. Menu is approachable and creative. Service is excellent and the owners really take pride in consistently delivering a great dining experience. Great atmosphere, full bar and a number on entertainment options keep us coming back with friends and family.
Brunch and Bellinis!
Food, Courtyard Patio, Staff A+!
We always love every bit of Angelica’s. The food is amazing and so is the staff.
The menu is very traditional, and I thought the food was very good. The upstairs dining room is a bit dated, and parking is a challenge with construction going on.
After the movies my friend and I stopped
Cocktail and appetizers
We had baked Brie
Angus Sliders ...
Yes lots of food .. we will be back
The Brie was excellent and especially delicious
We had brunch and it was delicious! Definitely an upper scale dining experience. The food was amazing and our waiter was super attentive and nice. I had the best eggs Benedict I’ve had in a while.
Had a reservation but had to wait 30 minutes for our table.
Only 3 restrooms poorly maintained
