   First I have to say or server, Yanya was the highlight of the experience. She was so sweet and made our special occasion even more special. The quality of food was exceptional. We had the bison tartare and marrow- out of this world! Along with Beef Short Ribs and Ribeye steak. Highly recommend asking for creekside seating- we had table 35. It was beautiful.

   Always an amazing experience. Beautiful location on the Yampa. Excellent service and prompt delivery of food. We had the bison, short rib, and apps ( can’t go wrong with cauliflower, korean chicken, and brussel sprouts). Aurum, our number one place for dinner in Steamboat.

   Excellent meals, especially the Korean chicken appetizer. My date had the marianated steak, cooked exactly as she requested. I enjoyed the shrimp and grits. Warning though, this is a premium restaurant in Steamboat, with premium prices. However, we dined during a combined happy hour / Mud Season half price entrees, which kept the bill to $100 before tip. Of special note, our server, Cameron, was first rate.

   We had great appetizers and drinks followed by very good mains. Really liked the Brussels sprouts appetizer and coq au vin main course.

   We went for the special 4 course dinner for two. The food was delicious and the service outstanding. The portions were modest but we weren't looking for a huge meal. We felt the value was fair as far as the food and service. Unfortunately we were seated next to a rather large party of women celebrating a birthday. They were having a wonderful time, which is great for them, but it was so loud. We almost couldn't hear each other at our table. There were no other diners seated in this portion of the restaurant. We should have moved and simply let them have their party and found a quieter spot, but we didn't and unfortunately for us the experience was less than perfect. I blame us for not simply moving and giving the situation space so I am not blaming the restaurant. But wow these Texas based voices could penetrate steel when they shrieked as they opened each individual gift. I have to wonder what was I thinking by sitting there throughout the whole evening. But as I said, I could have relocated and I don't blame the group for having a good time.

   I had Mole Pork Coloradito... it was outstanding! The mole was very tasty, the pork was HUGE but well cooked and well seasoned, and the vegetables served with it were a nice complement. The plate looked a bit like something from the Flintstones (for those old enough to get the reference!) I had Parker House rolls, too, and they were good for sopping up the mole when no one was looking. The waitress informed me that the pork dish would rotate off the menu in the summer.

    This place is always good. A very consistent level of service as well as quality of food.
