Great views and great food, the architecture is fantastic and the service matched it.
My sisters food was cold, but the management gave us free dessert to compensate.
The service was good!
Love to comeback again with families and friends:)
Love going to Marnong (Bankvale Run) for dinner, haven't been for breakfast for a long time, didn't real enjoy the breakfast buffet loved a normal breakfast menu.
Food was not of the quality I would expect from the level this restaurant is pursuing. Disappointing as the menu and food normally of high standards.
Noise levels are far too high, sound engineering should be implemented to reduce reverberation.
Alternatively, to reduce noise levels overflow dining capacity should be filtered to the outdoor area as this is not utilised as effectively as it could be.
Will come again
Lovely service and afternoon overall
Really nice atmosphere- quality food and great service. This is my 4th visit and it’s consistently great! It’s a special occasion place but fast becoming a good place to meet friends and family for dinner
Very good selection for all palates. From oysters to veg pizza. Very yummy.😘
Beautiful place, wait staff are very friendly and efficient. Menu was ok, would have preferred more gluten free options. It was Valentines so the atmosphere was buzzing and it was a little hard to have a conversation, with the added duo that was entertaining the guests with serenading love songs.
Loved it. Would highly recommend it. Wine was amazing . Highly recommend the calamari
I thought that everything was perfect, The staff were amazing and friendly and the setting was beautiful, The food was prompt and delicious, The 2 piece band they had was also great, The only thing was the steak was a bit chewy otherwise delicious!! Would 100% recommend to anyone wanting a fine dining experience!
Service was fabulous and staff were friendly and attentive but not obtrusive given we had booked a table on one of the busiest nights of the year - Valentine's Day. The meals were well timed and the menu options were varied. We ordered the octopus which had great flavours but was overcooked, whereas the mains had perfectly cooked steaks but the freekah was slightly undercooked. The desserts were well presented and delicious. We ordered the namesake red and white wines and were pleasantly surprised by their beautiful aroma and tastes on the palette. The views were amazing, the ambience and live band were a wonderful addition to making the outing more romantic. I would definitely recommend and would also visit again.
Roast chicken and steak was undercooked. Meals pricey for their quality.
Been there many times, always good food and prices reasonable. It was very busy . full in fact and the service wasn't as good as usual. The food was great the two of us shared plates of calamari, vegetable tempura and antipasto, a glass of wine and a coffee to finish. Going again in three weeks.
Phenomenal garlic pizza to kick off our evening with while the steak was nothing short of amazing - a tad over cooked but amazing none the less. The views of course don't need a comment, they are fantastic!
Venue is great
Breakfast options are OK but a bit more options for children would be better. Pankcakes, waffles or French toast would be amazing. Also, bananas as a fruit option.
Fruit and cold options Were great.
But overall we loved it and will come back!
All of my party of four thoroughly enjoyed lunch at the Bankvale Run.............food was exceptionally flavoursome and appetising, and the service was quiet but efficient.
What an amazing place. My partner and I visited Bankvale Run for the first time last week for our anniversary. We were impressed from the moment we arrived. The food, the service and the view was outstanding. Will certainly be back!
Amazing view, friendly staff and delicious food. I was impressed by the service that they provided
A small family celebration at a venue new to us was very enjoyable. The attentive staff looked after us through our meal while we relaxed at our window table overlooking the rolling hills towards Clarkefield. Tried a selection if Marnong wines which are also recommended. We will be return diners.
Overall our experience was lovely but service was quite slow.
The view is definitely worth it and the gardens and surrounds are amazing. Loved looking out and seeing the eagles soar and the alpacas coming up for a feed. However the food was disappointing.
Definitely my favourite restaurant
Wonderful pizza & delicious desserts. Great food for sharing. Fabulous setting, relaxing Long lunch
We had an excellent wedding anniversary lunch day, 2 people, food and service was first class for staff that had a very busy day, well done. We have recommended the establishment to friends it is our second visit to the restaurant which is beautifully appointed and lovely surroundings. Chris.
Dinner was amazing, the fillet and chicken was so tasty. Best dish was the wood fired bread with the smoked butter. Service was friendly and very accommodating. We had a beautiful view of the Macedon Ranges the only downside was that the restaurant was full and got pretty noisy. That aside I will definitely be coming back.
Good food, great location and service was friendly. Food a little expensive (eye fillet way to expensive) but ravioli, ceasar salad and calamari were delicious!
My big issue is no iced latte or iced coffee! WHY???? Given I am an iced coffee/latte addict and it is really not hard to make, this has deterred me from returning.
I deducted points because I felt it was a very limited Menu.
I do understand a Venue needing to restrict Options to cut down on waste, but I did think for a higher priced eatery the Menu was sparse.
Staff were a little pushy on wanting us to buy Drinks, and my Waitress - when I asked "What is on the Plate with the Pork Chop?" replied "Nothing". But there were greens and delicious Spuds. However I had already ordered Greens and Chips.
But the Pork Chop was GREAT - cooked uniformly all the way through despite being an inch thick.
Stunning views, and a lovely room. Very slow service waiting an hour for entrees.
Food was yum and everyone seemed to enjoy their meals. Steak was pricey but delicious however only came with 3 yes 3 wedges as a side for the steak meal which seems a bit short of a meal. However in saying that I probably would return to try the place again hoping that the service would be a little quicker the next time.
Would definitely recommend! Amazing food, staff, atmosphere and location. Had an amazing time!
I went there with mum today and we had great time, we enjoyed the food, drinks and the view. Staff was so nice and friendly, thanks for the great customer service.
Eight of us had a lovely lunch, celebrating my husband's 80th birthday. The venue is spectacular, and they were able to fulfill my request for a table with a view. The staff and service were excellent, the menu extensive and the food was lovely. Prices were more than reasonable. We'll be going back. Loved it!
Loved it. The views were amazing. We had a catch up with old friends and none of us had been there before. We loved it. Staff were friendly and helpful. Food was delicious. Wine selection was great. Will definitely be back again.
I love this place but I will never go again for breakfast. Very average setup for breakfast. I would change to make to order and not lumpy scrambled eggs, greasy bacon and dried out mushrooms.
Positive experience from start to finish! Highly recommend!
Ease of the booking and reminders of it coming up were handy.
Sensational food and exceptional service - Anna was amazing. Highly recommend
Excellent location and service, tasty food but overpriced compared to other quality wineries north of Melbourne
Never disappointed with the food or the excellent service. And the view is spectacular!
Absolutely fabulous highly recommended everything from the food, service and music was amazing
