Alot of menus and options was a bit confusing. Wasn't impressed with the menu selected Italian festival menu. Lamb said it had crust but was covered in breadcrumbs. Mortadella sausage was expecting sausages but was slices of meat. Got the bill but didn't ask for it were going to have another drink but got the bill when we said we didn't want dessert.
Lovely food, great service and atmosphere. Would recommend.
The staff were incredibly pleasant and lovely to interact with. I think they may have read my note about it being a first date, and they were great to give us a lovely table and let us take our time to order and eat. It was wonderful, thank you to all :)
Marco is AMAZING! He was genuinely such a nice and personable man who just wanted to make us happy, no altering motive. The food was great, atmosphere comfortable, seemed like everyone was happy. 😀
Small portions and a bit pricey, but hey it’s Dublin.
Have to say the food was so good the best Italian restaurant iv been to , service was 100% thw staff are so welcoming, I'll defo be back again 👍
On our last night in Dublin we were a bit tired of Irish food so we opted for Italian at Bar Italia and wee not disappointed. Right of the Liffey makes for a lovely view. We had tagliatelle bolognese & the tagliatelle with lamb special and both were fantastic. Well seasoned, good portions and delicious. The burrata appetizer was nummy too. What set this restaurant apart was the great service. Our server was attentive and kind. Thanks for a lovely evening.
We’ve been traveling Ireland all week and eating loads of traditional Irish food and for our last night in the country we went to the location in Dublin. It was a very short walk from a Temple Bar Hotel. The restaurant was clean and the service was very good. The calamari were a bit overdone and chewy but the panzetti with fungi and cream sauce and San Marcos pizza was amazing! We enjoyed a great bottle of wine and cappuccino, gelato, and tiramisu for desert. On the whole, it was a lovely oasis in a bustling city. A great find and very reasonably priced. I highly recommend it!
Awesome, always a pleasure to have food at Bar Italia
Great place and real Italian food
Excellent food and service. The set menu is great value. I’d definitely return.
The food was delicious, I had the lobster ravioli and my partner had a pizza.
Hi there, the food was delicious and the service was great will definitely be back again
Best Italian in Dublin. Good location, delicious food and wine, relaxing and great ambiance.
We had to wait for 35 minutes to be seated even though we had a reservation and arrived on time. The starters came really quick (cold antipasti) but we had to wait another 30' for our main course after. The pizzas were good and the daily pasta was quite good. The rest quite average. Overall a bad experience. 150' to have an average dinner that was not cheap at all.
Food and service were excellent will be returning again.
Sadly, the noise in this place was deafening, we could hardly hear each other. The waiter was brilliant and tried his best to help but in the end I would describe this as a place for parties and not couples.
The food was fine, not remarkable but fine. Pasta was just a little overdone for my taste, unlikely it was home-made. The chocolate desert was very nice, although I've had better much better Gelato - again, I doubt if this was home made.
In summary they really try to make people feel welcome but the acoustics were such that it was just an incredibly noisy place - needs carpet and curtains perhaps to help with noise reduction. If I were with a group of friends instead of on a date, I'd probably be saying how fantastic it was.
We visited off peak so the restaurant was quiet but we could see that it was filling up fast approaching
dinner time. Our waiter was attentive and helpful, the decor is beautiful, and all of the food was delicious. The portions are generous but the food is never heavy. The only thing I would say is that while great care and attention has been put into the menu, it could be simplified as there seemed to be a confusing amount of choices. But I would highly recommend.
Lovely meal served by very pleasant staff. Good value for money.
Second time at Bar Italia, both for family birthdays- again the service and food were phenomenal! Loved the lobster ravioli last time and the seafood spaghetti this time around was even more amazing. Everyone else got pizza again because they loved it before- perfect as always! The service makes the experience. The staff is very knowledgeable and goes out of their ways to make sure you're happy.
The wine is beautiful!
It was very warm outside- they kept the windows open for a nice breeze instead of using a stiffy AC unit. Love this place! Will be back for a date night :)
We always dine here when we go to Dublin. Its a little piece of Italy in Ireland. The food is authentic Italian cuisine
Great antipasti starter and food overall. Service excellent - really friendly. Will definitely return.
Their fresh pasta is amazing. One of the best Italian spots in Dublin. My wife asked for a variation of one of the dishes on their menu and the waiter was polite and friendly, the kitchen staff were accommodating. I always recommend this spot to anyone visiting from abroad.
Great options for all especially those with gluten allergy. And the pizza is amazing.
Exceptional staff, excellent value early bird, delicious food, relaxed atmosphere
Very nice restaurant- a little expensive but otherwise very good
Excellent staff. Decent food. Extremely noisy and cramped. Tables are squashed together. It was better before the refurbishment
Excellent food and service!! Good atmosphere and great venue!!
Food was excellent. Very authentic Italian food and wine and service was amazing!! Highly recommend and very close walk from Westin!!
Wonderful food and service! A great change from the never ending burgers or fish and chips. Huge wine selection, too.
Fantastic pizza and a great wine list for good value. Lovely atmosphere in a gorgeous setting.
We had a lovely evening, lovely food and lovely service!
It was my first visit for early meal on a busy Sat. I was very impressed with the service, attention and the atmosphere in the restaurant. The food was authentic Italian at the higher end of the scale. Will definitely go back.
Lovely authentic Italian restaurant in the heart of the city. Nice views of the Liffey if you're lucky to get a window seat. Fabulous food and excellent service. We never had to ask for more water, the jugs were watched and replaced when empty. Would highly recommend it to anyone.
Extremely friendly service in a very lively ambience. Great selection of food and wines.
Food was great, place filled up. Service was not so great, even before it got busy they did not bring some ordered items without being asked where they were. As it got busy, the service got worse.
Loved the food, just not the service.
New menu ...just fantastic. Very authentic Italian. Fab service and lovely ambience to new lavout.
We visited as a family of 4 2 adults , 2 young children at lunchtime. We all had pizza and dessert and 2 glasses of wine. Food was excellent, full of flavour and carefully presented. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We also bought a bottle of the extra virgin olive oil that is used in the restaurant. We hope to return some time in the future.
The food had great flavor but should have been served hot. The risotto was delicious but barely warm. Wonderful atmosphere and nice wine list. Very busy place. I’d return.
Real Italien Food!! Grazie mille!!!
Lunch and Dinner, perfect!!
