Great tacos, great sangria and great vibes! Love coming back to Barcocina.
The drinks were mainly sugar. They charged us $12-14 a drink but there was no alcohol. Example: I had 7 DRINKS /‘d I got no buzz or anything. Same thing with the rest of my group. We asked our server for salt, and she said they didn’t have any.... a place that serves Mexican food and Tequila doesn’t have salt. We had to ask a wonderful woman names Cecilia (she was the brunch cook/server) and she was able to get us salt. Our server also didn’t explain to us what we got with the all you can eat brunch, so when we got the bill, she had over charged me for items she had said they were included. Unfortunately, my group and I will not be coming back.
I used to love this place. I haven’t visited for about six months and was excited to go back for just a causal last minute night out. The music is now super loud, it’s like they can’t decide if they want to be a restaurant or night time bar. We ordered three types of tacos...and I’ll say I just felt disappointed. Everything was kinda blah tasting or overdone with sauce. I hate to say it but between the music and food quality, I don’t see myself wanting to go back here for a while.
Food and service was amazing! I brought my very picky mom here for dinner while she was in town for the weekend and she can’t wait to go next time she’s here. Not too loud for a Saturday night and we were seated at our reservation time.
Celebrated my birthday here a few days ago. Cool atmosphere, friendly staff. Speedy service and the food is excellent! Highly recommend the guacamole/street corn and the pineapple pork tacos!
Great brunch spot, great music and lots of food/drink options you can interchange!
The food and cocktails were delicious, but the service was above and beyond!! I’d go back in a heartbeat!!
We celebrated our wedding anniversary there and are extremely glad we did. The food and drinks were great plus the atmosphere and staff were amazing.
Melissa was amazing!! Excellent Service! Can’t wait to go for brunch! Yummy tacos and Drinks!
The food was phenomenal and our server, Sammie, was fantastic. Definitely coming back!
Fun restaurant with a good brunch menu. Got very busy for brunch, loud music and party atmosphere. Food was good but service was not good quality. Slow, lack of attention to detail, mistakes with orders that were not promptly corrected or reimbursed for wait time and inconvenience.
Our waitress was wonderful! We came for a small baby shower for a coworker, and they brought us an appetizer and celebratory dessert on the house. She also was great about reminding us of the happy hour specials, and made sure to take a last round of drink orders before happy hour ended.
This was my first time dining at Barcocina, and although we ordered from the restaurant week menu. I felt like the portions were great. It was a party of three and we were able to share the dishes while still having enough to enjoy for ourselves. I will be coming back throughout the year. I really enjoyed the experience.
Great food! Presentation was perfect. Service was spot on!
Great tacos and food with good restaurant week deal
Had a reservation at 8. Waited 25 minutes just to have to ask the host again when our table would be ready. She forgot about us and ended up being seated 35 minutes after my reservation time. Was sat in the bar area where it was so loud you had to scream to hear your own party. Server was slow but friendly- she seemed to be the only server for the bar area on a busy Saturday. Food was decent but I won’t be returning.
Waiting for the entire party to arrive before being seated is very restricting
We had a great time and the food was delicious!
We waited over 30 minutes for our table. The hostess was not the friendliness. Our server was great, just a little slow. Food is always amazing.
The food is expensive and not very good. The drinks are expensive and small. The waitress was nice but seemed like she was covering way to big of an area. The food runners were a-holes. Do not recommend.
It was our first time here & it was amazing! Katie was fantastc!!
We had a reservation, but it still took a while to get seated. Our food came out pretty quickly, but it seemed like everything was pre-made and just waiting for someone to order it.
I had eaten at the Barcocina in Baltimore, so I was hoping the experience would be as good as that, but both my fiancé and myself were a little disappointed.
Great environment. Overall good menu.
Great dining experience! The bottomless brunch is great and the food comes out quick and is delicious. I always recommend this place
The food was good, service was slow, however. We waited 25 minutes after being sat at a table to be approached by a server. We saw other tables wait similar amounts of time and proceed to leave because of the wait times. Once we ordered, our food came out very quickly and was good.
Waitress did not come over often. Had to call her over when needing assistance.
Our overall experience was just mediocre. We visited barcocina for restaurant week. We were told by the server that the policy of the restaurant was that If one person at the table wanted to participate in restaurant week, then the entire table would have to order off that menu, and no one would be allowed to order a la carte. This is strange to me as restaurant week is usually an incredible value, why wouldn’t they want to make more money off of us? This really limited the options for my friend, and tainted the experience.
When we were ordering cocktails, my husband and I were ordering a pitcher for the table, and the server didn’t inform us that there were restrictions with the pitcher selection until we had ordered 3 separate times. It was ridiculous.
Two entrees came out 15 minutes after the first two entrees arrived. Needless to say, the first two entrees were cold by the time we all had plates in front of us.
Nothing was polished. The food was good, but that’s expected when you go out. This was a disappointing experience, and one that we were initially very excited for.
Came here for our anniversary. Our server, Lauren, was awesome. The food was great and they had a surprise dish for us to help celebrate. Can’t thank them enough for the awesome experience.
I enjoyed the food at Barcocina. We considered doing the buffet and I’m glad we didn’t. Honestly the price they were asking for the buffet really doesn’t seem worth it. The portion sizes off the regular menu are large and 3x cheaper than the buffet. The noise level was pretty high but overall we enjoyed this restaurant.
This was a great experience! I would definitely recommend this place!
It was good
Wish they looked at our notes in the reservation. We asked for an igloo and there were two open when we got there but they wouldn't seat us there. Food and service were good though
Everything we had was amazing. Guac, empanadas, hanger steak and three types of tacos (chicken tinga, Korean short rib and brisket). Highly recommend!
Everything was outstanding. Our servers suggestions were spot on. Drinks were refreshing and food was creative and delicious.
Our elderly parents loved it. They wanted to eat in the igloo. Korean tacos were our favorite.
Lots of fun!
It was great! Accidentally came during brunch but was still able to order off the main menu. Food and drinks were wonderful as usual
Well, let's just say that you could find better food at your nearest taco stand. It was mediocre at best, and definitely caters to the more established Lincoln Park crowd.
Also, I made a reservation and the hosts could care less. They rolled their eyes and didn't bother to recognize us. It took us 30 minutes to be seated, and I'm still unsure why we didn't leave.
That's a big thumbs down for me 👎🏾
They sat us 45 minutes late and didn’t even think to bring us any free drinks or food to compensate for lost time. Other than that, was a good experience
