   We decided to try since last week we did Bardea Steak. Firstly we love the Bardea family of restaurants. Last night must have been an off night. Very disappointed that not only were we told they were out of the poptart but after placing our order and 20 minutes later we were told they ran out of mushrooms. The timing of delivery of everything was way off. We received our raw oysters after the hot appetizers about 25 minutes into meal. On a good note the calamari was the best we ever had and the ribs were so very tender but could have used some flavor rubbed on. Needless to say it was an ok first impression … maybe it’s growing pains or just the popularity. Outside seating is amazing . We’ve already eaten 3 times at the steak restaurant and also noticed the most recent visit there was a bit off. Staff scrambling and timing of delivery of food way off. We also had a piece of steak on our sampler board that was not edible all fat. Surprisingly when we mentioned it we just got a sorry … well that was a $500 meal . I still have to review that meal from Saturday before Mother’s Day.

   Came here for a Birthday dinner for my daughter. Our server Maria was outstanding! She made our night with her personality and attentiveness. The food was also amazing and the recommendations were on point. Maria also gave my wife recommendations since she can not eat beef or pork. We will definitely be back to try some of the other dishes and the fine service from Maria and all of the other staff there were great.

   Great staff and amazing food. They moved our outside reservation inside since it ended up raining. Very accommodating.

   My friend and I celebrated our joint birthday at Bardea and they made it a very special night! From the hostess to the waiter to the food runners each greeted us a happy birthday before and after our meal as we left! The food more than lived up to its expectations; we ordered 2 starters, 2 small plates, 2 pastas, 1 vegetable dish, 2 desserts and it was more than enough for the two of us. We love food and love to sample every dish we can so this tapas style was perfect! We cleaned off nearly every bowl (the tiramisu didn’t have a chance). Bardea was so wonderful we decided to make it a tradition, Bardea birthday dinner!

   I think I’m over the high priced small portions. The salad and other sides are delicious and reasonable size, but the size of the red snapper was ridiculously small. I would have to order 3 servings of the fish for $75 +/- to make a meal. I left hungry and disappointed. Yet they still pack in a full house. The owner must be making a fortune with the small plate concept.

   Bardea never disappoints!!! I had the spicy honey pizza and it was simply delicious! I’ll be back next week!

   We had a great meal there last night but one thing that needs work is -PARKING. I spent 20 minutes trying to find parking around your restaurant without any success. Come to realize there is valet parking. However charging $20 for valet parking is OUTRAGEOUS. Wilmington is not NYC. Most restaurants offer complimentary valet parking. Your restaurant needs to look into this parking matter because it’s a real turnoff for patrons of your establishment.
