Barnaby's Public House
Great food and great service! And great drink recommendations
This was a great surprise. We had never been here before, the food was really great and everything has a unique twist. The wait staff was great -kind and attentive. I would definitely return to try some of the other choices; it was hard to decide.
Dinner and then a show
Smaller sized dining area -decent size meals. Very close to PPAC
Food was great. Even though it was packed with a pre-theater crowd, food was served very quickly. Staff was courteous and attentive.
Food was average. I had the salmon, cooked a little too much. My date had gnocchi & short rib special. Not a lot of meat.
Our waiter was very attentive, nice ambience & the drinks were good. Not horrible but not exceptional either.
My kale salad was not as described at all. It came with a tiny piece of salmon on top with literally a dusting of what was supposed to be goat cheese. Even though it was moderately priced, it was a big disappointment. Kale was tough also. The calamari had a fishy taste. My husband's pasta Bolognese was disappointing as well, and the Cosmo's were too sweet.
Also, the valet parked my car up on a curb on the side street and told me where to go get it. Never again.
Great time and great atmosphere. I enjoyed the Pasta dish and my boyfriend loved his salmon burger. Martha did a great job and gave us a great experience!
The mushroom soups was the best I have ever tasted
Good food but service was likened to a restaurant that just opened. Server did not know how meals were prepared, servers helpers taking food to wrong tables, no one checking on status of meals.
Great find. We had a great dinner. Wonderful waitress. The Brussel sprouts were great. I had the lobster pasta special., So good. We will definitely eat here again.
I enjoyed my visit to Barnaby's Public House. The food was delicious from appetizer to dessert. The service was excellent - we had a wonderful waitress and the atmosphere was great. I will definitely go back again. We did the PPAC show dinner special and it did not disappoint.
Would have given all five star if my food was a little hotter. It was just warm. Otherwise really enjoyed it. The restaurant is very pretty inside.
It was appalling that you charge $0.50 for Parmesan cheese to top my rigatoni bolognese.
The manager should have tried to please us by offering a coffee or dessert. Instead we left with an annoying and shocking reaction to a ridiculous charge. When told about the extra charge, I declined buying it. When the manager came by to offer it free of charge, it was too late. The food was almost gone.
I suggest, you rethink that $0.50 extra charge.
While our server was good, our food was not. My friend and I ordered the oysters to split as an appetizer. They came out of the kitchen super fast, and when I looked at them and tasted them, I knew they were prebreaded, frozen, then popped in the oven. They were tasteless! The server assured me they were not. I disagreed. I also had the black burger, it was also tasteless. My friend had a cod dish, and she also said it was not good. They ran our of coffee mugs and we were served coffee in a water glass! The only thing that was good was the warm brownie dessert. Never again!
Such a great option for pre-theater dinner. The food was great. From kids to adults - everybody had a great meal.
Stopped in for lunch . Service was excellent. Food options were great. The rigatoni bolognese was delish. Husband had the black bean burger and enjoyed it.. had the brownie desert to top it all off , excellent. I would return.
Great lunch date with dad. Amber, our server, could not have been nicer and the poutine special was to die for. Will definitely be back!
This visit was just ok, nothing outstanding.
Food is excellent, with new and tasty twists on old favorites
The food was delicious and the service was great They were happy, smiling and polite.
Very nice staff but completely unprepared for a Saturday afternoon lunch rush. Food was good quality
Quaint little pub conveniently located. Awesome food, service and atmosphere. Would definitely go back again.
Food was good and the noise level was a bit high do to the layout. Not much to sound dampen. Recommend putting televisions on closed caption this way patrons aren’t trying to talk over it. Shorted staffed but our waitress was amazing.
Loved it. Food was great. Server was very good as well. Will definitely be back.
The food was OK. I got a burger that tasted like nothing and my fries were fine. My wife got the bolognese that wasn’t seasoned either. It was so loud we couldn’t hear ourselves think let alone talk.
Great food and conveniently located near PPAC. And they take reservations.
First time and surprisingly impressed! Would definitely return!
Don’t sit near the door, cold in winter every time someone enters. Food great drinks expensive
Great spot with friendly staff and inviting atmosphere. Very interesting and delicious takes on traditional comfort food options! And very much appreciate being able to make reservations.
Tough place to have a conversation. lots of bar noise. The food was good. Service was very good. Waitress seemed to be the only one in the restaurant. There were people helping her. The crowds came and went in packs. Next time we will try burgers.
Much too loud that night - and it was very cold in the restaurant - ate with our jackets on
Food was great - service very attentive -
I would go back but not in the cool/cold weather
Convenient to the theatre and plenty of parking in the area.
Good food, although a somewhat limited menu. Excellent service! VERY noisy, especially as the night went on. We may or may not return, but the quality was certainly there, and no one should be deterred from trying it out. One highlight - there's a "Bartender's Choice" cocktail option, which is pretty neat! I asked about it, was, in turn, asked what my favorite spirit was to create from (bourbon in my case) and I was delivered a beautiful, tasty, and wonderfully-presented cocktail! This was a really neat option, and something I definitely enjoyed!
Reservation was 15 minutes late, service slow due to short staffing. No cold glasses for beer for whole meal. Low beer selection. Pricey for a few apps and a couple beers.
Love this place. Unassuming, but great food and even better cocktails. Highly recommend. Valet parking, too!
As expected, pub food and craft cocktails.
Menu is limited.
Ordered one Impossible Burger and one beef burger. Both delicious and generous portions.
My Old Fashioned was served in a great heavy cut glass designed perfectly for a cocktail on the rocks.
Noise level was higher than we would have liked but not enough to go elsewhere.
went Mid-week, so the place was a little deserted. The service was fantastic. Really above what I expected and will bring me back the next time I’m in Providence.
Very noisy - but the food was outstanding
Great trendy place, for was good, drinks were as good. Looking forward to going back.
The sandwiches and burgers were good. The nachos were okay, and the one Guiness at our table had very little foam.
