Beatrix - Oak Brook
Upbeat and fun - good food and service!
Too loud. We could not hear each other at a 4 person table.
A fire place would add immensely to the ambience. It’s a cozy place.
Great veggie burger! Bun and aioli yummy!! Fries were hard and weird so not sure what happened there, but the sandwich was so good I still give 5stars.
Food was delicious, had Poke’ lunch . Service good but slow.
Seating was awful, next to huge service station & in/on the service path for bus & servers. Did complain they comped a desert which was nice but that table for 2 & the only one against that wall should not be there.
Beatrix is a very comfortable, welcoming and laid back restaurant. Great food and drink choices. Great service.
Excellent food and see
Will come back
Nice meal, thought it was interesting that the two men I was with were offered refills on their drinks but I wasn’t.
Service was good but a little slow because everyone showed up at once for lunch. Also, two ladies split a salad which had no dressing on it. Appetizers and desserts were over the top!
This restaurant is just so beautiful. The color palette is so inviting, and the designers have mixed and matched seating and lighting to welcome you in. Some dining tables actually have leather couches with cool throw pillows. Others have really cool chairs, but each seating area is different, and I just love the vibe there. The food and drink menu is affordable, and they have a wide range for everyone, from vegetarians to carnivores. There is also a nice drink menu with some great juice options that come out looking cocktails, but aren't.
The desert are really great. The food is so so. I got a hamburger, and they don't have any good mustard. Wow.
What a great brunch. Wonderful options. Don’t miss the brown sugar bacon. Three kinds of mimosas; I loved the red (pomegranate) one. The service was excellent. Definitely recommend.
We had reservations and arrived about five minutes early of our reserved time. We were told that our table was being prepared for us but about 15 minutes later I asked again and told the host that we had a short window to eat. He worked it out that we could get seated but not sure why the long wait with Reservations. Outside of that, all was well.
It’s normally pretty good but not consistent.
The coffee bar and pastries are always great.
Service is hit or miss.
Overall experience was good but unfortunately we had terrible service. Would not recommend!
Our server was excellent however my daughter's coffee arrived with a long hair in it. Mine was lukewarm. Beyond that, everything was delicious.
It was crowded. We waited too long for our drinks. Food was great, but we were promised jam and extra sauce that never came.
love this place. have only done brunch but plan to do dinner soon
Very fresh menu with great salad options and heartier food if you wanted that. Everything was delicious! Nice afternoon comfortable modern atmosphere
Joanna was excellent.
Always excellent service, waitress always with the best voice time....
Tall male taking names rude. Too nonchalant. Server attentive. But it’s the first face that greets you that sets the tone
Honored our reservation time with ease.
Service was great! Everyone was very friendly and willing to help not just our server. Food was delicious. I would definitely come back.
Good was delicious. Especially the chicken parmesan. You could taste that a very good parmesan cheese was used. Also excellent was the service! Very please and will definitely be going back.
The Kung Pao cauliflower is great tasting but a bit over sauced.
The food was good but service was very off. Servers were slow to greet us, the app came before our first drinks and our main courses came before our salad plates were cleared.
Host forgot about us and I had to go up and remind them about our reservation. Never called out name. Waited 30 min. Started the night on a sour note. Waitress was great. Host not so much
We visited with our three kids (ages 5, 7, and 8). Our server was very kind with the kids, and I was thrilled with the gluten-free, dairy-free options.
We had a delightful time at the Oak Brook Beatrix. The food was excellent and the service was great. Our server, Audrey, was very professional. She had a pleasant personality and was very proud of the restaurant sharing some history of the Lettuce Us Entertain You Corp. We are returning this week for lunch. Please maintain the high quality of excellence!
This was not a good experience at all. The menu was not at all appealing. My friend and I actually left there and went to another place to eat after ordering two meals at Beatrix and not finishing it. We ordered bread and after waiting 15 minutes for it our waitress brought us 2 slices of wheat toast with cold hard butter. We were charged $1.95 for that. Their wine list was poor and for $14 dollars a glass it was a very stingy pour. Needless to say we will not return.
Not as good as usual this visit. The fries we ordered were cold and the server was a slow especially with closing our check- maybe he was newer.
I’ll go back thinking it was just an off day for them with the holidays.
Food was fantastic - delicious and healthy!! Atmosphere is very cool. Both lighting and decor add to the overall experience.
This was my second time there. A little disappointing compared to the first. But first the good stuff: my hubby's Vegan Tomato Basil Soup was reportedly delicious, although he said the croutons were too soft. He loved the Turkey, Sweet Potato the cauliflower just seemed to be steamed; grilled or roasted would have been better; the almonds were good. For entree I had the Vegan Truffled Mushroom Risotto, which was presented as "deconstructed". It was separated rice, broth, mushrooms, spinach and hazelnuts. While the ingredients were good, there was no melding of flavors - risotto should be cooked with all the flavors together. The whole dinner just seemed a bit amateurish. I'll probably give them another try because I do appreciate the cuisine they are aiming for.
All around OK.
We had reservations for 7pm .. we were not sat until 7:35. I had to go to the host stand twice to address it - no initiative taken on their part (the 4 of them standing there on their phones). The manager offered to cover some appetizers for us. We had 7 people dining .. he comped 2 appetizers. Essentially, a bite a person. How generous.
Terrific kung pow cauliflower and kennebuc fries for starters. Entries were hot and tasty as usual
All of the deserts are onolishious.
Great gluten free options. Very healthy menu at reasonable prices. Caesar salad was creative and delicious. All entrees were great- chimichurri steak, honey chicken and Bebe chicken. Dessert was good - big piece f chocolate cake. Nice wine offering by glass and bottle. We’ll go there again.
After shopping we needed a refuel and enjoyed a few cocktails along with the lemon and chilies fries. Then we had the arugula salad, salmon and a burger that we all enjoyed. The waitress was great! Also they handles our party that was 6 then two then 3 with patience. We appreciated that very much! We also on the way out decided to get a wonderful cappuccino and split a cookie. Delicious!
