Their seafood is really fresh! The people are very friendly as well. Though I live 1.5 h away from san Francisco, will definitely go back for the food!
Amazing food, ambience, and people.
Food was great and the chef accommodated our request to replace chorizo with shrimp which were delicious! Good wine recommendation from our server.
The food was amazing all of it from the shishito peppers, to the omelette to the meatballs and potatoes to pork belly to dessert!!! Cheese flight and a yummy chocolate mousse marshmallow delight. Drinks were delicious as well...service fabulous!!! Pricy ...a little too pricy...but for a special night out it’s worth it. All prepared well..not overdressed or over sauced. Great flavor combos!
Amazing food, ambiance, and service. Paella is on point!
I had booked a reservation for an offsite team lunch that we had planned, & was happy to see that y'all were ready to seat us, even when weren't all there. Additionally, y'all were really attentive to the refills & needs of napkins, menus, additional seating. The only thing I would say is that we had ordered two paellas along w/ several small dishes to share, but apparently it wasn't heard, & by that time all the small dishes were done, along w/ desserts about to come out. Luckily everyone was quite full & was totally fine not getting the paellas, but it still would've been great to have had tried it. Maybe next time, as the food & service was all still really good. Thank you all again for the wonderful service!
Food was great. Would def recommend and will be going back soon.
Great food, magnificent wine list, friendly service.
Needs to work on overwhelming noise level.
Fantastic food and drinks with one of the best waiters I’ve had, ever. He made fantastic recommendations and knew when to check in and when to leave us alone. The staff clearly works as a team, the food came out hot and was well coursed. Very well run and the food was so delicious!
Delicious soft shell crab paella special. The salad was also good, but not particularly innovative. The rice pudding was OK, but could have used more cherries on top to make it sweeter. The service was good, but the restaurant was too noisy.
Best paella I’ve had and just returned from Spain! Fun room and vibe but sit at counter for the best experience. Professional staff all the way through and friendly/fun
So good! Delicious food and incredibly smooth cocktails! I highly recommend
Amazing food and hospitality! Absolutely loved everything and can not wait to go back!!
The food was extremely late and quite salty to be honest. I was very disappointed.
Excellent food, pretty restaurant, service a bit inattentive but at least our conversation wasn't getting interrupted. Hostess was not too thrilled I nixed the booth she initially gave us for a different, better placed one. Very unfriendly and needs to present herself differently.
My last visit was great, this time not so much. I may not be used to SF prices, but really do expect top quality at this price level. Setas paella was burnt on the bottom (not crispy as it should be, but black). "whole fish" was served as two fillets with a head, losing the experience of a whole fish for me. Wine list is extensive but expensive. Spanish wines usually offer great value, but not here. When I asked the somm for a suggestion in our price range I was greeted with "that doesn't really exist." and pointed to bottles three times the price. Overall, I think there are many other great options at $100+ per person.
Superb meal in a fun and stylish setting. Very true to Spanish tapas. Great Spanish wine list! We will definitely be back. Like, next week.
The service was good and the food presentation was nice, but definitely did no. taste as good as it looked Two of the three of us had stomach problems (I'm being polite here) that night and next day. Additionally, the noise level in Bellota is really loud. You have to talk really loud to be able to visit with anyone at your table. I think the prices were a bit too high as well, but even if they were cheaper I would not return.
A fun restaurant with Spanish type food, a young crowd, techies with money, interesting cocktails, small plates, live piano music, large dining room...you get the picture.
Review says most of it, love the food, ambiance and service but might make different personal decisions on price performance when the meal isn’t getting expensed. That is more a reflection on my personal “foodie-ness” level than a reflection on the restaurant. Good times!
Love this place. Excellent food and friendly staff
The food is good but not great. The paella is well flavored but is rice with a topping rather than a real hearty dish. The wine list is excellent. The service is very good. As with most restaurants these days, it is very noisy and the ambience is somewhat cold.
Server was not friendly, very short and not happy to answer questions. As for the food, most is very bland not tasty at all and the portions are extremely small meaning very expensive for what you get. Would not return nor recommend. Too many other great tapas restaurants in SF.
The paella was bland but pretty. Steak was good. Cod was good. Brava not tasty.
Outstanding food & service. Prices are high but the dishes are authentic & excellently prepared.
A very enjoyable meal.
Cool; we like the food & the mood of the restaurant.
Pricy for tapas, but inventive and delicious. Fantastic Spanish wine choices and Spanish vermouth, which I lovez
Food was amazing. Service was horrendous.
I was eating alone and the bar staff was very friendly and mad good recommendations for food & wine.
Excellent dining experience at the counter. We had several dishes and all were very good. Spanish wine list was great and sommelier (can't recall her name) was very helpful.
All good, But the tables very very close to each other
Tables too close together
Love this place!
Food was extremely bland and unremarkable. Service was excellent
Unfortunately, the quality of the food for the cost could not be justified, no matter how great of an ambiance they provide. I went in for a dinner for two, and after a moderately expensive bottle of wine at 3 small sharing items (shishito peppers, very dry papas, and cheese) our bill came to $150. Neither of us even felt like we had eaten a real meal, and the price point was higher than most of my best dinners out. We enjoyed the music and the service, but wouldn't go back based on the food and cost.
Awesome food, great people, very good service
Good service not great food too pricey for what you get , very loud, won’t go back
Delicious food and great service. Highly recommended !
Everything you order is a delight for the palette and the vibe is great. Wonderful and knowledgeable staff. A must go when in the city.
We arrived late and had to double the size of our party. The team at this restaurant treated with utter graciousness and made us all feel at home. Food and drinks were incredible! Definitely go here.
