Very loud and we were asked if we had any food allergies and we stated yes, that one of us had a shell fish allergy. Twice we relayed to them there was a shell fish allergy and still they tried to serve it to us. We payed for extra everything and didn’t get it. I feel like because we came in late it wasn’t important to them because they wanted to close early or something.

Good for the experience, i enjoyed it but i wouldn’t go again they overrated we were charged to park in their lot which i thought was insane since were already dinning in as PAYING CUSTOMERS! The chef was amazing. I also didn’t like that it’s about 8 seats at a table and because it was only 2 in my party we were seated with a random 2 other parties to fill up the 8 seats at a table so we basically sat with strangers. It was pretty mediocre for fine dinning

From start to finish the service was exceptional! We felt welcomed, important and they were sincerely interested in our needs. We had someone who had some severe food allergies and they checked and double checked during the entire experience. It was a very good experience!

Service was friendly, but rather slow. Restaurant is very loud when guests are having fun. Challenging to enjoy the chef's cooking experience and their explanations and questions. Great fun and we look forward to visiting again.

They were flexible in pushing our reservation start time back 45 minutes a few hours before we arrived. Overall, the service was awesome! Our food was great, except the fried rice was crunchy.

There were two patrons that chose to be on a video phone call for their entire meal, while the chef was preparing their dinner. Would have been helpful for staff to turn background music on. Very disruptive and rude to staff. Our server was new and it was fine, but slow moving. Also made me sad since it was my birthday and my husband also had a dessert on his meal and did not get it. We usually like to celebrate together. Felt like the portion of fresh veggies was significantly less than usual. Hope this helps. Thanks.

Will never go back to Benihana. There was no show by the chef. It was my 10 year old granddaughter b/day. Very disappointing. Waiter forgot to serve ice cream and take our picture. I know everyone is short staffed but they should know correct customer service. I got the bill before we had finished eating. The biggest slap in they charged a 20% tip on the meal that I would have topped maybe tipped 8%. Never go to this chain ever again. I have been to Benihana all over the country. You expect service, quality food and entertainment, we received none

They should let you know that Hibachi doesn't start until 5pm. I was prepared to take my mom for an experience. Lunch for two was $70 (you can't use a birthday certificate until dinner), and we left HUNGRY. They should be ashamed to charge people that much money for some onion water and three grains of rice. The downstairs area where we sat is in dire need of some upgrades, especially to be located in the heart of downtown. Our waitress was awful, but she still put a 20% gratuity on our bill. I sat with my spilled drink in front of me for 10 minutes waiting for her to bring the napkins I requested. Instead, she brought my food and just put it on top of the ice. Never again. I'm so disappointed. If I could rewind, I would've given my Mommy a $70 gift card to shop somewhere and gotten us some good food for a third of that price.

Next time post a big sign that it says you post a big gratuity of 20% and not just in the menu. I wouldn't even look for it while I'm ordering my food and then when I ask my server about it they said it was in the menu I called BS

Smaller parties should have the option to choose their seats. Last couple visits I have been forced to sit on the side versus in front of the chef… Also the amount of salt added was extremely, but this could be because the other party at the table had high demand for the chef.

We had the whole place to ourselves(late Wednesday) and Khalid was our cook and he did an excellent job at interacting as well as having amazing flavor in the food.

My drink was horrible. It was 40$ and there was no alcohol in it. They charge 20% gratuity for my friend and I. This place has really gone down. The food was good. The service was horrible

Prices went up but significantly for the kids meals. Salads came out with tomatoes with mold on them, ordered a double jack and coke and it was weak, shrimp appetizers were the last food item besides dessert. First time that ever happened. Overall poor experience when we have gone many times and never left disappointed.

This location was filthy…carpet was absolutely disgusting. Service was subpar…chef was lifeless and didn’t even attempt to entertain the table, and the waitress forgot to serve things like white rice and such. Benihana is already overpriced, but still typically good at most places. In all fairness, the food was still good, but smaller portions were served than at other locations of theirs. I wouldn’t visit this one again.

This was the worst hibachi and sushi I’ve ever had. The last time I went to this Benihana was at least 15 years ago. It isn’t even trying to be authentic. There is no pomp and circumstance. Your food comes out so fast once the chef gets there (you would think that would be a plus). But not at Benihana- where was the show? Didn’t I pay for a show? (Looks around) We go for hibachi a lot. We even go to the Las Vegas Benihana every year. This was such a disappointment. If you want Hibachi go into Waukesha County (that sounds stupid…I know). Meiji is fantastic and worth the wait you will have even if you make reservations. This Benihana took us a whole 30 minutes early. Womp womp

Unimpressed with staff. Very nonchalant servers, forgetful and unapologetic. The restaurant was EMPTY (literally 3 not full tables) and the staff couldn’t be bothered to be helpful. The chef, who would normally put on a show while cooking, barely spoke and just cooked the food. Very underwhelming compared to most Benihana’s I’ve been to

Great place for a birthday celebration. In fact, there were 2 others in addition to our group's within the 2 hours we were there. Delicious food. Fun show from the chef. A little pricey, but worth it. Do not try to park in the tiny parking lot behind the restaurant. Street parking is much more accessible.

Waiting on GM and/or someone from corporate to contact me back as they have some serious issues with the wording of their birthday coupon. They are definitely scamming customers into spending more money. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. Aside from this issue, the menus were dirty, service was okay and the chef on the hibachi grill was not outstanding. This place is definitely losing its luster.

Great experience! I always wanted to come here! We celebrated my daughters 21st birthday and we were not disappointed. A little ‘flair’ a perfectly cooked meal, and a lot of laughs!

Everything was great except that the bathrooms were sticky and the place seems a bit run down and outdated. Also, they didn’t open the doors until exactly 5pm instead of letting the 6 families waiting in the hot and humid sidewalk in to wait. Instead brought us in at 5 to make us sit and wait for another 15 mins while they got settled.

We went for my son’s birthday, they didn’t recognize his birthday despite me notifying the restaurant. Food was ok, portions have decreased from previous dining. My sushi was disgusting, spicy tuna roll was basically a Philly roll without cream cheese and seemed like they used Frank’s red hot sauce to make it spicy. Complained to staff but nothing was done. Automatic tip for this experience was bullsh**.

Not the Benihana I was accustomed to. building is old and dingy. Service was sliw and cold. our chef acted as if it was his first time dropping spatula on the floor then touching grill with it before changing. quality and taste of food was nothing special but was pricey

The gentleman who actually prepared our meal did very little talking, and when he did it very low and very difficult to understand what he said. The first thing he put on my plate was my medium rare filet which was pretty cold by the time the rest of the meal was delivered. My shrimp was supposed to have lemon on it, but I did not get any lemon. The other gentleman at the table had his shrimp prepared at the. Dry end when the man cooking ordered extra shrimp, and his was prepared with the added lemon. I could see and hear preparers/ chefs at other tables giving much more information and interaction during there’re preparation. This was a VERY disappointing meal as far as far as the presentation and the meal was OK, but nothing spectacular for the price we paid.

Would not allow us to order as a party of 4 until more people sat at the shared table. That was a 45 minute wait. My chicken was totally overcooked. Plates were passed to us as if they were dealing us cards. The volume was load and the server flipped his utensils but otherwise he was totally disinterested. Walking upstairs to the table was dark and seemed dirty.

The server was rude and the chef didn't put on a good show. He had to be asked to set the onions on fire and he was not entertaining. The food is always overpriced and the service slow--as are most places these days and it is understandable in the current social and economic environment; however, the draw for Bennihana's is the show put on by the chef. I was disappointed and felt cheated.

Shrimp and steak were pretty good. WAY too much garlic in the rice. double charged for wine, and over all more $$ then it should have been. 20% Tip was added for 2 people. I almost double tipped.
