   Great atmosphere, relatively quiet, nice to hear people talk. Laid-back but classy, good options if you're eating healthy. Service was good overall. The waiter did disappear for long periods and wasn't quick to take orders or refill water. I would definitely come back, as the positive definitely outweigh the negatives

   When visiting Dallas metro region for client business, I love dining in Highland Park neighborhood. It’s beautiful and there’s great shops and it’s convenient to both downtown as well as points north. I love Bistro 31- food is very good, service is great and ambiance is nice.

    We totally enjoyed ourselves. The ambiance was perfect. The food was exceptional. The veggies they paired the Halibut were just perfect. Definitely loved the green beans, so delicious. The oysters were great with the crusty topping. Yumm. I normally am not able to finish my dessert after a meal, but that day, I ate every bite of the toffee cake and ice cream. Patty our wait staff was so attentive to our every need and so entertainingly funny. He needs to try out for AGT. We will definitely come back for his humor and great meal suggestions. Thank you Patty

    As a five-star Michelin food critic, I have had the pleasure of visiting numerous culinary establishments across Texas. However, my recent trip to Bistro 31 in the Highland Park Village in Dallas was an experience that left me utterly spellbound. First and foremost, I was impressed by the restaurant's grandeur and elegance. The ambiance was nothing short of breathtaking, with all the elements seamlessly curated to create a sophisticated, yet warm, atmosphere. The chandeliers and wall art gave off an artistic flair, and the soothing music provided a welcoming vibe. Now let's talk about the food. Simply put, the menu at Bistro 31 was delightful. The dishes were beautifully presented and cooked to perfection, with each bite bursting with flavor. I started with the escargots de bourgogne, which is a classic French dish, and it was exquisite. The snails were succulent, and the garlic butter sauce was heavenly. For my main course, I decided to try the roasted duck breast, and it was one of the best I've ever tasted. The meat was juicy and tender, and the combination of cherries and thyme added a distinct sweetness that elevated the dish to the next level. To end the meal, I had the crème brûlée, which was divine. The custard was creamy and smooth, with just the right amount of caramelization on top. Overall, my experience at Bistro 31 was nothing short of spectacular. The combination of excellent service, a beautiful ambiance, and mouth-watering food made it an unforgettable experience.     Beautiful day sitting outside on the patio, service was wonderful. Very attentive! The chef even came to the table to ask what my friend would like him to make as she was vegan. That’s great customer service! Salmon dish is great and so is the risotto!

    Our dinner was delicious and our service was fantastic. The food is fresh, and very well prepared. The menu has good choices, not too much, but also something for everyone. I love the ambience, and I love, while always crowded, the restaurant doesn’t rush you, or make you feel like you must get in and out really quickly. The service here is always gracious. Also, I love that they always seat me on time. I highly recommend.

    The staff surpassed any and all expectations! The food was perfection! My daughter celebrated her birthday and they were very accommodating with the cake service. The icing on the cake was they were able to make mock champagne drinks in fancy Chanel flutes. The ambience was a good vibe and fun was had by all!

    Our server Gabriel was fabulous!! Made our evening special. The food was so delicious - scallops, shrimp risotto - Caesar salad, shrimp Linguini cooked to perfection. Drinks were prepared exactly how we ordered. Interesting crowd, you feel like your in a upscale creamy dinning of a large home with an old fashion wood bar loved the bright oil painting on the walls. The buzz was invigorating, and definite spot to return to.

    My friend and I visited Bistro 31 about a month ago. I’m writing this review now because the experience has stuck with me. I tried shaking it off, but the incident pops up in my head from time to time. Steve (Server) and Michael (Host) we’re great! They were kind . It’s was busy when we entered , but the restaurant emptied out leaving about 6 tables . My friend and I were seated in front an elderly man and his lady friend . The older gentlemen walked around the restaurant shaking the hand and greeting the 6 tables that were seated. There was three tables inside and 3 outside . He passed my table to go outside and to greet the patrons. My friend and I watched as he greeted his guests and asked how the food was. I learned later that he was the owner of the restaurant from an employee . Note: We were the only black people in the restaurant and we were the only ones that he ignored, (which speaks volumes). The folks he greeted were not of black complexion . Needless to say, the man was certainly racist . I wouldn’t recommend to a Person of Darker skin tone. Do not go where you are not welcome .

    We had a wonderful Sunday brunch at Bistro 31. Our server had a great personality and made sure everyone was well taken care of. The oysters were a table favorite….along with an espresso martini, of course!
