Excellent meals great service great place for special occasions
Friendly service and excellent quality food
The staff were very knowledgeable and helpful.
They helped make our lunch a special occasion.
Excellent food excellent service.
Very happy with the high quality and taste. Service was perfect, good timing and not pushy. Comfortable seats, no aching backs or bottoms. Not close to other tables, so conversations were kept within our group of 5. We had the 3 or 2 course special luncheon offer, though have been there for a la carte previously. Choice options were very good in each course and quality excellent. Slightly different flavours than the par. And not too creamy either, especially for French food. Wonderful luncheon
The service was impeccable from start to finish. We were told the specials and left to choose drinks. We never had to wait for a waiter, they were there the moment they noticed we were done looking. None of the appetizers caught our eyes but the mains and desserts were absolutely incredible. The raspberry souffle special I had was wonderful and so light for such a large looking meal! Absolutely perfect on such a warm night. The only downside was the heat, there was not enough air con.
Good spacious seating provides privacy. Service was attentive and professional providing assistance in choise where needed. Food was mostly of high standard although some dishes seemed typical hotel restaurant class by being half pre prepared reducing the quality which would otherwise have been excellent.
We have been here many times and can recommend.
An attractive restaurant and very attentive staff a lovely place for a meal for two.
It wasn’t that great not what I was expecting.
I dined alone for the $55 lunch special
Was left for 15 mins before anyone took my order despite staff constantly walking past
When served the staff were pleasant and attentive
The pork belly was overdone and very dry very disappointing
The pavlova was good but definitely not worth the $55
The food is not creative, unfortunately almost pub grub standard.
The waiters lack enthusiasm, hence compromising the ambience
Food and service were fantastic, staff were very friendly and helpful and will definitely return.
Delicious food and perfect service. Just the right amount of attention from the staff. Food was faultless.
Seated opposite the kitchen and service hatches. Main course had a very uninteresting menu and had to send my fish back as over salted, and by then had gone past it.
Overall disappointing for somewhere we had heard so much about.
Great food, views and service.
Anniversary Dinner. Nice location, excellent food & service
Nothing special to report, sorry.
Had recommended this place to a lot of people over the years, but hadn’t eaten there in awhile myself. So to have the less than desired dining experience we had was disappointing.
Steak tartare was good, but only served with 4 x crisps? budget cuts.
Cheese soufflé, without any cheese and cold in the middle. Terrible.
Lemon tart was ok. Pastry was not, flakey or buttery at all, more dense and almost wet, if that makes sense. Too long in the fridge maybe.
The Maître d was
It was a wonderful experience from start to finish. Staff were very friendly and professional, food was delicious and the venue is beautiful.
The quality of food and it's presentation at Bistro Guillaume was second to none. We enjoyed the relaxed, quiet ambience of dining with the friendly and excellent service of it's staff. A pleasure.
I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant. I addressed my dietary requirements at the time of booking. Not only was it not brought up by the staff, they had no knowledge of it and I felt like such a bother to them. After being told there was no garlic(allergic) in a dish, I ordered it and upon serving was told that there was in fact garlic in it. No suggestion for alternate dishes and I had to pay for the dish. The server seemed detached from our table and spoke as if he was in a grumpy mood.
It was our first time here & we loved it.
Beautiful vibrant decor & various seating styles available. Service was fantastic without being overwhelming. Food & drinks served quickly. The chicken was cooked to perfection. Desert was lovely, not too heavy (chocolate profiteroles).
Handy location for post drinks in other bars at the casino. Perfect for ladies catch ups or date nights.
This used to be our favourite Perth restaurant. We tried again after an absence of 2 years.
Our drink order was incorrect. I ordered sirloin steak. It was so tough as to be almost inedible though cooked correctly to medium. My wife ordered barramundi. The fish was too overcooked.
We finished our meal and left disappointed.
We had been there for only 1 hour, and a waitstaff comes over and tells us they need the table in 5 minutes and basically pushes us out the door. This was very rude and left a sour taste in our mouth and ruined the end of our night. On your website it says that we are able to stay for up to 2 hours, yet we got asked to leave just after 1 hour of being there. Really rude and most likely not to come back if this is the way we are going to be treated
Our dinning experience was wonderful. Beautiful view over the Pool and lovely, relaxing ambience. Service was excellent as was the food. Would highly recommend if you are looking for something special or just really appreciate great food.
Not the best and won't be hurrying back
The soup entree that my friend had was far too large considering he had also ordered a main course.
I would like to order a smaller meal as my entree which I ordered was rather more than I would normally eat ( i.e. 100 g of meat).
We last dined here in 2016 and the experience was far superior back then. Although our table was in a lovely spot and our food waiter was very attentive, there were some big negatives: after 10 mins of waiting we were informed there was no sherry available, we then waited another 10 for the champagne to arrive. We ordered entree and were told that because we weren’t ordering mains immediately there would be a long wait, however following entree we ordered mains, which arrived within 5 mins.
Disappointing experience considering the reputation. Both meals were well below expectations, Duck was overcooked and my wife did not finish her meal as it was poorly cooked too. Ambiance and service was fine, just the kitchen let the experience down which is highly unusual. Everyone has bad days so hope that this was the case.
Excellent service and food
The food was pretty good although one of the steaks came out well done despite being requested as medium rare. The main issue was the poor service. The staff were friendly enough but just lacked the professionalism we would expect from Bistro Guillaume. For example, it took ages for our wine to be served and glasses were not refilled. Also, the side plates for the bread and one of the entree dishes were not removed once the mains came out. It was pretty sloppy.
Our dinner here was quite disappointing. We were seated at a very average table and even though there was plenty of nicer tables available they wouldn't let us move. We ordered the French onion soup for an entre which was incredibly sweet almost like a caramelized onion dip. For mains we ordered the sirloin and the fish. The sirloin itself was good but the roast potatoes were overcooked and very dry and the salad was too vinegary to eat. The fish was just ok. Not worth the money..
Food was average at best. Entre and dessert were the best parts of the meals. We come here as often as we can but the meals last night were well below the standard we have previously experienced. My main was pork belly, and it tasted like it had been microwaved reheated and the sides and garnish were barely visible on the plate. My wife's fish was nice, however the waiter didn't listen to the instruction and had the sauce removed from the dish leaving just a piece of lemon being served.
We were impressed on arrival and it just continued. The staff were amazing, the food was wonderful and the wine was enjoyed. There is no doubt that we will return in the near future. Thank you to all concerned.
Our waiter was exceptional. He really impressed with a level of eticate rarely seen these days.
I recommend the lamb shoulder for four.
Perfectly cooked and well presented.
Great french wines to accompany the meal too.👍
Steak not cooked medium rare as requested and sent it back and a new correctly steak was produced
Asked for water with ice and lime had to chase this up and then water with lemon only was produced
A bit slow in keeping wine glass topped up
Always a pleasure to dine at Bistro Guillaume.
Food was generally good, however, the level of service expected from a restaurant like Bistro Guillaume with a high price point is below the level of service of their stature. Overall, it was a very disappointing dining experience.
Food and cocktails were great. We had a lovely, long, lazy afternoon. The restaurant was pretty quiet, being lunchtime and by the end of the meal we had the place to ourselves
Ambiance always good, service was spot on, just the right amount of attention. Food was 50/50 this time around.. (we’ve been 3 or 4 times). The whole chicken specialty was delivered to the table next to us and looked amazing... falling off the bone but, only being 2 we opted for the 1/2 chicken - it was ok, but a bit disappointing after watching the one on the table next door being devoured... I had the porterhouse steak... it was well cooked, tasty, a solid job, but needed more sauce.
