Sooooo, the food was good. If we weren’t eating outside it would have made the experience even better. The food came out and it was effected by the cold of sitting outside. Very cool and unique dishes that you don’t find everywhere. Small portions and small drink portions but very delicious. Service was incredible. Definitely worth it to come back when they are serving indoors and can appreciate the restaurant for what it’s meant to be!

We were seated at the table closest to the open wall. It was quite chilly which we expected. We had just ordered drinks when a table opened up closer to the warmer end of the deck. We asked if we could move to the open table and the server said that after she cleaned it, we could move. When our drinks arrived, the server told us we couldn’t move because we had already taken off our masks. The table remained empty for quite awhile.

The fried chicken arrived in a bowl with no lettuce or veggies. It was a lackluster presentation with a bland flavor. The burgers were passable but the rolls were beautifully burnished and delicious!

In order of experience, wonderful staff, energy and food. Threat of Covid felt nonexistent. Scallop crudo was life-affirmingly delicious. Painful to admit as a lifelong salt addict, but the fried chicken, while fabulously-flavored, was a bit too salty. It seemed to be both brined and then highly-seasoned after frying. The accompanying aioli layered on even more salt, rather like Buffalo wings with too-salty dressing. The fresh herbs were great. Cheesecake a shade dark around the edges, sour cream could've done with some thinning out. All this could easily be explained by overlying Covid situation, so we are eager to try Little Giant again. The staff was a great pleasure to be around and the other diners radiantly happy. Tables were almost at capacity despite the 4:45 seating time, which says a lot. Wine pared perfectly. Dying to try the cocktails.

Delicious and innovative. Scallop crudo is not to be missed. The Sea Witch is one of the best cocktails around.

Wonderful set up outside. Cozy and plenty warm and “safe”. Felt normal again for a short time.

From the moment we walked in the door we were treated like royalty! The staff, food and cocktails were all outstanding. The wine list is truly special and with options not seen on many New England menus. I'll be back asap!

We picked Little Giant to celebrate our city hall elopement. Having not been out to dinner in more than a year, I had zero expectations of the experience. I was blown away. The staff was so genuinely friendly, informative, humorous yet professional. The food was absolutely outstanding. It reminded me of my old favorite, Roustabout, which has sadly closed. This may be my new favorite restaurant in Portland, and that's a tall order to fill. We can't wait to go back to Little Giant post-covid!

Little Giant has built an amazing indoor outdoor experience for weathering Covid. Perfect place for a winter Birthday, it's toasty warm and safe. And the bartender surprised us with a free glass of Birthday bubbly! We were thrilled to give them our business for all their hard work, and you should too.

Really nicely done brunch in newly-created covered, sheltered outdoor space. The food was really good, and creative in approach. While the portion sizes are good, I found the prices to be a little high for the dishes and drinks. Staff was good, food was on time and overall experience was great.

We had an issue with the credit card reader and the restaurant called me at home. It worked out fine, but I would suggest the server stay at the table until the transaction completes. They left the machine at the table with us and after paying we left.

The food was great as always and the porch is a great setup for Covid.

The outdoor space is great! You have to remind yourself to dress for the outdoors because it looks so good. The slatted wall allows for a roomy feel and the heaters are a help. Be sure to ask about the heated seat cushions when you come in!

The brunch food was deeeeeeeelicious. I wish we could have sampled everything.

So nice to have a spot where a large or small party can be accommodated during Covid times. This will certainly live on long after though!

Anniversary dinner, we did the heater outdoor seating (it was snowing while we ate). It was lovely! Kept our parkas on, but it was very comfortable.

The service was personal and fun, our waitress was fantastic. We had a dozen oysters, a burger, and lobster roll. All fantastic!

A post dinner hot toddy and dessert to-go made for a lovely end to the evening.

The food was amazing and we felt so welcome and cozy out on the deck. The seat heaters were a special treat!

Went to enjoy the “outdoor” yet heated space they created and enjoyed the meal very much. The small plates where amazing from the kale salad, scallop crudo and burrata and finished off with a Salmon with mushrooms and a wonderfully buttery lobster roll for entrees - delish! I’ll be back for sure as it was a great dining experience.

The food and service were fantastic and the outdoor dining was warmer than expected. Definitely come prepared for the weather, I dressed with thermal layers for the 15 degree night and turned down the seat heater that was offered.

Valentines dinner 2 days early; excellent meal and service; very cold temperatures but the overhead and floor heat made it comfortable

Great food in a safe environment. They have done an amazing job to deliver exceptional food in a well ventilated, but protected, outdoor setting. Heated concrete flooring, abundant heaters and heated seat cushions allow you to support this gem of a restaurant in comfort.

Delicious food with friendly, professional staff. Innovative use of local seafood. Prices were certainly fair for the quality. They did a great job at working with their outdoor space for COVID, including space heaters and heated seating pads.

Worth the visit. Looking forward to return. Very creative menu.

Very good food and service. Given the current circumstances ( COVID), they are doing a great job of balancing safety and a very good dining experience. This was our first time there, but certainly not our last.

I can't believe how good the "Beyond Burger" is! Absolutely no taste deprivation if you fancy a meatless meal.

The food and cocktails were delicious. The heated outdoor terrace was handsome though a bit cold but we were dressed warmly and were expecting that. It’s a small price to pay for eating outside in the winter in Maine during a pandemic. We’ll be back!

They clearly had such fresh ingredients and used them to creat delicious and innovative flavors in classic seeming dishes. The scallop crudo and poached salmon were our favorites, but everything was outstanding down to the grilled bread with butter, honey and salt.

we did the 4 courses for $40 brunch and it was such a treat to try the variety of dishes + some of which were exceptional !

Everything was great. No fault of the owners but we selected probably the coldest day of the new season so far in the beautiful new digs. Food was fantastic but the hands did get cold, even with gloves. Will be back for sure.

The staff was so very warm and friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. Minor kinks with the amazing new covid era warmed outside dining, Great pivot, Little Giant, we love having you in the neighborhood.

The entire experience from start to finish was great. The reservation process seamless, a warm greeting when we walked in, great service (rachel made the night), excellent menu and toasty seats were an added bonus. Looking forward to coming back.

The food was delicious and the staff were exceptional! I truly go into a night out without expectations during this time but Little Giant blew me away! Their new patio was warm (even for someone who always runs cold) on a cold night. The host was phenomenal, he had great communication with us (they flip tables quickly!) and was incredibly polite. Our server was wonderful and gave us fabulous food recommendations (the scallops and skate were both delicious, thank you!). Truly a great night, we felt safe and very well cared for - I can’t wait to go back!
