Outstanding meal. Excellent service. Will most certainly return.
First time we've been although live around the corner. Had been looking for a night with dinner at the bar for two, and this was exactly what we wanted. We didn't have steak because we were having it the next day, so we opted for chicken and tuna-great, and the wine--we will be regulars now! And can't wait to try to actual steak.
Service was friendly and atmosphere was relaxing. The food was fantastic. My husband ordered the bone-in rib eye and I ordered the sesame crusted tuna. We are looking to go back and try more items from the menu.
Excellent food served impeccably by well-trained staff. A nice setting for a formal dinner.
Thank you so much for making my husband's birthday dinner so enjoyable. Truly was a wonderful date night for us.
I’ve been to many steak houses in ny. I was very impressed with the food service was spot on and the host and manager were friendly and made this experience wonderful. Wait staff couldn’t have been more helpful and professional.
My only regret is that I cannot give Blackstones Grille zero stars. We had a terrible dining experience! My soup arrived piping cold. All of the food is overpriced for the quality. The dining room looks like a bordello. It has generated no buzz locally, and now I see why.
I HAVE BEEN HERE MANY TIMES AND THEY HAVE NEVER DISAPPOINTED. EXCELLENT FACILITY, EXCELLENT FOOD AND TOP NOTCH SERVICE, STRONGLY RECOMMEND.
Pricey, but the portions are beyond generous, and the service very good. Noise level was a little surprising, given that this is an upscale restaurant. Definitely recommended.
Service at the end of the meal was a little slow, we were not offered coffee. Overall it was great and we will be back.
This was the first time we have eaten at Blackstone’s in Fairfield. We dined on Saturday during restaurant week. The service was very slow. Our reservation was for 7 pm and we didn’t get our meal until 9:15. The maitre’d was unapologetic. Food was ok, nothing special. Would not recommend.
Took advantage of Fairfield Restaurant Week and went there for lunch. We ate at the bar. The food was wonderful and the bartender was extremely friendly and helpful. Would love to go back again!
Non-rushed dinner experience and tasteful, thorough service. Delicious meal.
Restaurant week was a great value. Got to see the restaurant and taste the delicious food. Would definitely return.
We are long time customers and love the food quality at Blackstone's. It is always excellent. We were there for a 7:00PM reservation and the restaurant was at capacity. Our server seemed stretched to handle all of her tables. She was good but not overly attentive. We love Blackstone's. It is very enjoyable to visit a steakhouse of this quality.
Blackstone’s Grille has an elegant atmosphere and excellent service. The food was delicious - the steak melted in my mouth, and their house salad was fantastic. We went during restaurant week, so the meal was less expensive than normal but was still on the high end. It was a bit noisy but we were still able to have a conversation.
We went to Blackstone Grill for our anniversary and from the moment we walked in did not feel comfortable. The gentleman who showed us to our table, which was a booth, and indicated that this was our table put down the menus and left with no other comment or offer to move the table to let my wife sit down. The waiter was rushed and seemed distracted. We had to repeat things multiple times. He was also put off when my wife ask for a drink menu. We ordered drinks and waited a period of time then the waiter came back and wanted our dinner order. I asked what happened to our drink order and he said it was coming. So we ordered our meal (my mistake) and wine and told him we wanted to enjoy our drinks (we they come) before the dinner and wine arrived. Before we knew it our salads were in front of us and we still had not received our drinks. The drinks came a short time later and the waiter returned with our wine. I told him not to open the bottle until our second course arrived. Unfortunately, this was a forgettable experience. Expensive restaurant with poor atmosphere, poor service and mediocre food.
We have been to Blackstone's Grille previously and enjoyed it. The most recent visit was to enjoy the Fairfield Restaurant Week menu, which was excellent. It was a 3 course meal for $35, and was well worth the money. Three of us had the NY strip steak, and the 4th person had the filet mignon. We all thought the meat was delicious and done perfectly. Service was also very good. The only problem was that there is not enough dressing on the salad (caesar).
My wife an I dined at Blackstone's as part of Fairfield Restaurant Week. We had a superb lunch for the price--well prepared, fresh ingredients, colorful, and just plain delicious. Considering there were few people there, the service could be more attentive.
We went for dinner during restaurant week. Service was initially fair, but then got better. Chef did not want to make any substitutions on the menu, but finally agreed to sub out a mushroom sauce for spicy peppercorn. They were our of the sweet chili sauce for the calamari appetizer. We ordered the entire 3 course meal at the beginning and then when it was time for dessert, they informed us that the carrot cake which we ordered one hour later was no longer available. We thought that the food was excellent, and service mixed. They were clearly overwhelmed due to the promotion.
The food was outstanding. It may have been a result of it being restaurant week, but it took almost 30 minutes for us to get our drinks and another 30 minutes when the waiter asked if we had received our appetizers. Which we had not.
The food was very good and the value for Fairfield restaurant week was also good m however, our waiter was not. If he introduced himself, I do not remember his name. We were not even acknowledged until we were seated for almost ten minutes. He did not bring a menu to our table for another 5 minutes. I found him to be dismissive and impatient. In fact, when removing wine glasses from our table, he almost hit one of the other diners at our table with the wine glasses. The food runners were more attentive than our waiter. I will return, but will make it a point to be sure I have a different waiter.
Excellent food, slow, lackluster service that was inattentive.
Steak was undercooked
Good spot for lunch (dead quiet on a weekday) with an extensive menu that goes well beyond the manly steakhouse vibe they seem to be focused on. Nice attentive service. Not so attentive in the kitchen, though -- the steak added to a Ceasar salad was great except for maybe a quarter of the steak bites that were inedible -- entirely gristle. Whoever grilled the steak and cut it up for the salad should have known better. Undertrained or careless?
This place It's not designed to attract the customers who would actually be very happy with the menu if they ever found their way here. There is a bit of a muddled identity here, with classic pubby steakhouse decor accented with tacky leopardskin print fabric on the upholstered booths -- weird, like seating for a massage parlor. The decor is in other words the equivalent of a guy with gold chains and an open shirt, while the really nice menu is closer to a sophisticated country club grill room. The gigantic sculpture of an anatomically correct bull is a plus or a minus, depending on your taste.
Food was great, as Always. A couple of young 20’s were home for the weekend. They loved the double tomahawk steak. Great value too.
What an amazing place for a celebration. Everyone at our table had a different dish and every dish was delicious. The meat was so tender and tasty. Highly recommend Blackstones!
Most of the food arrived COLD.
We won’t go back
Food was excellent, service was superb, a bit pricey but delicious
The food is consistently delicious. The best true high end Steakhouse in the area for sure. Reminds me of Del Frisco’s
double Eagle Steakhouse in the city (NOT DF Grille).
Blackstone’s offer a great variety of Wonderful appetizers, salads , prime steaks, and seafood. Very high end quality. We especially love the sides. I mostly eat the Filet Mignon with creamed spinach, and their amazing Mac n cheese which is my absolute favorite. It’s always creamy, buttery, & cheesy and not loaded with flour. The desserts are delicious altho more along the lines of the common variety.
We often come for Happy Hour at the bar as well.
They have fantastic bartenders, and good hardworking people. I especially appreciate the multiculturalness of the staff.
The South Norwalk location is also amazing btw
Great food but they gave us dinner menus at lunchtime. Didn't realize until I got home there was a more suitable lunch menu(salads, sandwiches, etc...). Honest mistake or trying to get unassuming customers to spend $25+ per person?
very pleasant venue food and service quite which is pleasant to be anle to hold a conversation.
Food cooked to perfection. Wine inventory extensive. Entrees a little pricey, but quality excellent
Really was surprised how good the food was. I was hoping for the best but figured it would be good not very good. I was wrong I will be back for sure. Other reviews talked about price I didn't think it was expensive at all relative to other steak places.
Love dining here! Food is great; a little pricy but you definitely get what you pay for. Can’t beat the quality! Best shrimp cocktail around.
We are regulars here and are never disappointed. Food and service is exceptional!! Not a single complaint and I am not always easy to please! We love the tomato and mozzarella and bacon to start, the Porterhouse for two, and the creamed spinach, fried onions, and creme brûlée.
We ate outside. Perfect night.great service and food
The filet was excellent . And great size. Service was excellent too.
Just a 10 all around for our party of 8 celebrating my birthday.
Blackstones at Southport, CT. was exceptional. The waitstaff were prompt, caring and offered great
suggestions. The food was excellent.
