Blue Door Farm Stand
Been there many times with my wife and we always like the food and environment. The menu isn’t extensive but what they have is all very good. Slight problem last time we went because it didn’t feel like they had the air conditioning on and it was 95 degrees outside so it was a bit too hot inside to enjoy the meal. Something to consider if you’re thinking of going there and it’s really hot outside.
Everything was great although they didn’t mention the AC was broken during the 100+ heat wave.
Lovely evening.... the salmon is everything
I come here all
The time for a salad i love. This time I was there with a friend who ordered a omelette of the day. It had peppers and cheese. Nothing special. It was 14 f
Dollar with egg whites and comes with NOTHiNG no potatoes or bread (both are super cheap items) it was small and a total rip off. Not worth it. Kinda sad this place is expensive but what you get is so minimal
LOVE The Blue Door! It’s a favorite of my weekly dining group of women!! We all look forward to going!!
Veggie burger was just ok, expected better from Blue Door
Good food except Chilaquiles came out cold. Staff were pleasant. Loved the ambiance.
Really good and price was surprisingly affordable given the location.
Delicious cocktails and loved the bright, light atmosphere
Our server ignored us and got my order wrong. I have celiac and had requested a gluten free sandwich ( from the GF menu). When my food was brought I could tell it wasn’t GF bread (my friend ordered a regular sandwich and hers was on the same bread). The person who brought the food ( not the server) assured me that if I ordered GF then it was. I insisted that it wasn’t so she brought it back to the kitchen and I was correct. About 5 minutes later I was given the correct meal. All of this time our server never checked in on us and had no idea that he had messed up my order. The previous times I have been there they have been so good with my GF requests. I was sadly disappointed and felt as if the server didn’t believe that I had a medical reason for requestIng GF.
perfect for a fast casual dinner
will return for lunch, with friends
The service was super slow. I ordered an iced coffee, which was super watery and the oat milk I got on the side was rancid. We told our waitress but she still charged us for both. Food was good, but otherwise disappointing experience.
Place has a great atmosphere; loved the menu & great service. Like it for brunch as well.
Not very good service for a Tuesday night.
The service was not the greatest. A bit on the slow side for drinks.
The service was great - we got seated early. Everything we ordered was phenomenal, down to the cocktails. 10 out of 10 would recommend to anyone who asks. And get the sweet potato empanada starters if they still have them because they were AMAZING.
Disappointing dinner. Food was not very good but the room is beautiful
Enjoyed the kale and bussel sprouts salad and the veggie burger. Pleasant atmosphere.
Disappointing visit. The food was sub par. Our eggs were seasoned with sugar vs salt and the waiter did not seem to care. The restaurant was freezing cold.
Such a cute place! Loved the apps and shared plates more than my entree. Service was a little slow as they were very busy. Also kind of noisy. Still had a great date!
The venue was beautifully designed. Very nice staff.
The hostess was missing upon our entry- for quite some time. When she finally appeared she made no mention to all that were waiting for her that she appreciated patience. Was a negative first impression!
Wonderful food. Relaxing and tasteful atmosphere. We would gone again, next time we travel to Chicago.
Great food and service. Really cute restaurant. Will definitely be back.
This place is adorable and the food and service is outstanding! Went back two days in a row! Leanne was a lovely and
Thoughtful waitress and the hostess was very pleasant.
Always love the food and atmosphere here! Brussel sprout & kale salad is a must!
Service was slow
Not asked if we wanted coffee or another cocktail
Food was warm not hot
My husband had the eggs w hash browns sausage & toast
Sausage no taste, one tiny little piece of toast
My blt sandwich was fair- not hot too much salad
Been to restaurant several times & all were delicious
Went for dinner. The Brussels sprouts and cheese curds are great. I got the burger which was good but nothing outstanding. Now I need to try their brunch!
Service was ok. We're ordered tri desserts and only one showed up & that was very stale.
Blue Door Farm Stand is one of my favorite places to eat in Lincoln Park. The food is fresh, inventive and plentiful. I also love the creative decor and tableware...I'm a big fan of cloth napkins and beautiful things! The downstairs is noisier than upstairs, so something to consider if you want a quieter eating experience. So glad this place is here. On a Thursday for lunch, it was jumping. I guess I'm not the only one who loves this spot.
I booked this to celebrate a special occasion in a friend’s life. I am so sorry we picked this place. I found ordered the lamb chops and they were as tough as leather and practically tasteless. Sat on an undistinguished bed of chickpeas. My friend ordered the tuna salad and they asked her if she wanted the tuna breaded and fried! The menu was very uninspired- I mean cheese curds as an appetizer—really! That is part of their “farm” shtick. The wait staff was so “attentive” as to seem intrusive. Every time we were actively engaged in a discussion was when they felt obligated to ask if we were happy with our meals or did we want more water. I hope no one goes there to pop the question to their significant other because a waiter will interrupt them—no kidding! And very noisy to boot.
They don’t have valet parking so good luck finding a parking place. The only positive I can say is that they are probably not destined to be around for long.
We spent a great time at Bleu Door Farm, the food was excelent.
Our server did not check on us a single time after we ordered. No exaggeration. It also took him an incredible amount of time to notice that we had been done with our meal for at least 15 minutes. Had to flag down a nice server who eventually got our waiter to us for the check.
I didn't realize that the "tuna salad" was actually just greens with seared Ahi tuna on the side. It wasn't really the type of tuna salad you'd expect at a restaurant with "Farm Stand" In the name and was too much like sushi, which I do not enjoy.
Beautiful space. Rotating menu that is always good. Brings the farm right to your table. Perfect for brunch, lunch, and dinner.
Blue Door Farm stand is very approachable and well executed. The food was flavorful (good level of spice on the sweet potato empanadas) and well cooked. The salmon had nice crust but was not dried out and the lamb chops were well prepared, the massive pork while brined was a touch dry. The house rose is good. Service was pleasant and attentive.
I was excited to try this place out. It’s a great ambiance inside with cute decor. However, the food is way over priced for the quality of the food. Salmon was dry. The menu can be misleading; for example, the Brussels sprouts was actually a salad and the menu was unclear. The tuna was sub-par. Service was fine but overall I would recommend to keep looking for other spots.
Excellent food. Best omelet either of us have ever had.
Liked it. Chicken was really good-wonderful crispy skin. Lamb Chops were great. Loved the vegetable combination it came with. The Brussels Sprouts with bacon were good as well.
This place Is always amazing you are! You can’t go wrong with anything on their menu.
