Bocca Di Bacco (Chelsea - 20th St.)
I was very disappointed because they were closed when we arrived. I called their phones, but no one answered.
This restaurant is closed. Like totally closed, no one was present, doors locked, all lights off when we showed up. They just need to close their open table account because we were under the impression that we had a reservation, and we even received a confirmation text the day before.
The restaurant was closed when I showed up for my meal
Ate inside and the tables were well spaced and
The waiter wore his mask as did all staff.
I had an excellent cocktail-Moscow mule with fig vodka and the to roast salmon with potatoes and artichokes. The salmon filet was cooked medium to perfection. It was very fresh/ not fishy at all. My fiend had Pinot Noire wine ( very smooth and light as she likes it) with pasta bolognaise sauce.
She didn’t leave one noodle on the plate. The service was prompt and very friendly. The ambiance is lovely and the music wasn’t too loud- recorded jazzy singers- like “Putting on the Ritz”. Upbeat and fun but not too intrusive. All in all a very pleasant escape in these dark days of COVID.
It was delicious, super tasty, good atmosphere, very friendly and good price
Staff was very nice and food was very good!
Amazing, I will definitely be going back to bocca!! I highly suggest the brunch!
The service was horrible. Had to call them over EVERY TIME we needed something, including our initial order. Hostess was awesome. Food was good but small portions. The crab cake was equivalent to a 2 inch sausage patty.
Good mule cocktail and tuna tar tar appetizer- yum
Attentive service. Ate outdoors. Very pleasant.
Excellent food and service.
One of the few places left that still offers "bottomless" brunch. The mimosas were a bit sweet for my taste, but the server happily switched it out for a carafe of screwdrivers. The panini are delicious (the homemade focaccia is addictive).
I Love it!
Sat outside, amidst street construction. The hostess moved us to a table far away from the noise. Both the food and service were excellent. Looking forward to our next visit.
Mal was a great server with an great knowledge of the menu and bar. He made the outdoor dining enjoyable and was very attentive.
Unfortunately we were bothered by a beggar who turned out to be very aggressive and I was with a 10 year old who really got scared. The staff was overwhelmed and the customers had to tackle the issues themselves which was quite unpleasant.

Made the best of the outdoor situation - Very good and responsive service - even picked up on one of our diner's birthday!
Our fav neighborhood place
Cured meat appetizer was great!
The service was exceptional and the food was very good! They had covered outdoor dinning which was a plus since it was raining when I went.
The wait staff were attentive and accommodating.
The food was excellent! Especially loved the rice balls and pasta- Cacio Pepe
Sat at high top Bar table. Yummy apps from bar menu & $1 oysters/ meatballs and refreshing cocktails. Great music. Great service. Good ambiance. Will be back again and again!
Since we are in the midst of the city choosing to hunker down during the COVID-19 scare, the restaurant was pretty empty and it was hard to judge the atmosphere as a result. However the service and food were Fantastic! We started with the grilled octopus which was seriously the best I've ever had. Then we each had a pasta dish which were both delicious.
our first time at this location and will return. very attentive service, good food and drink and very accommodating.
The food was amazing, the service was great! Definitely recommend!
Service was incredibly slow. Took over 20 minutes to get each drink even though neither the bar or restaurant were full. 2 members of the party were late and the staff tried to take the table away when we were already having appetizers and squeeze the rest of us into a smaller table, even though there were many open tables around us. Food was good, but overall service and treatment by the staff was bad enough that I will not return or recommend.
The menu was not the same as shown on their website for this location it was significantly more limited which was disappointing. For example, I wanted the pasta carbonara which is shown on their website to be on the Chelsea brunch menu but was not. We went for brunch on a Saturday and were one of only 3 tables in the restaurant for the entirety of our meal and service was still slow. The mimosa deal is decent and the food was good but I all things considered I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant for brunch.
It was great! The food was amazing and the service was incredible. It was really dark, and hard to read the menu (had to use our phones), but other than that it was delicious.
The restaurant was almost empty although it's been there for quite a while.
The food arrived promptly, good service, but the food itself was not hot. We were in a hurry so we didn't have time to send it back, which I don't like to do in any event. That shouldn't have to happen.
Incredible food. Salmon and octopus were amazing. Can’t believe I haven’t noticed this neighborhood gem before. A new staple.
Food was standard, good portions. Romantic lighting and ambience. Dessert was a microwaved afterthought (the apple semosa (sic))
A tad expensive but large portions so we took home enough for a second meal after we had split a dessert.
It was Valentine’s Day and I waitress was overwhelmed.
What a wonderful Valentine's Day dinner. They had a very talented trio playing throughout the evening. Will definitely be returning.
Great food! Attentive staff.
Disappointing that you have to sit at the bar for happy hour wine...we would have definitely had ordered more if we could have had happy hour service at our table. It wasn't even busy so we were a little surprised to hear that. I will not be coming back unless this policy changes!
Great time with friends. Food was good, service was very friendly and attentive.
Great pre-theatre dinner. Service attentive and aware of our timing which I only mentioned in open table reservation. Cozy and delicious
Great place for a quick and affordable lunch! I love the grilled octopus.
NEVER RETURNING. Have eaten there three times and once in Hell's Kitchen location. Kept going because of good experiences, but something has seriously deteriorated. When you add major rudeness to incompetent service it's beyond. food has declined as well. was above average now mediocre. they need to make changes or leave the world of hospitality immediately. serious dissapaointment.
excellent time! our go-to Italian spot in Chelsea!
Romantic dinner. Lots of space. dim lighting, soft jazz, good wine selection and great authentic Italian food.
Went there for my girlfriends birthday party. They were able to accommodate our table request by the banquets. cozy table. Our waitress was very nice. All of us had a great time and enjoyed our dinner very much. In the end they brought us a chocolate cake with a sparkler and played happy birthday by Stevie wonder. Nice touch. Thank you for a great time!
