Braise - San Jose

It was a beautiful day and the customer service was excellent!

Outside seating, a little noisy due to traffic. Food was awesome, had the pancakes, bacon and the Yogurt Parfait. Definitely should go for brunch on Sundays or dinner on the other days!

We had a great dinner with fun drinks and delicious foor. Everyone was outstanding.

Braise is such a great restaurant, the food is outstanding, and the menu changes frequently while also keeping some favorites available consistently. (cheddar beignets and fried chicken, oh yes!) This time we had brunch. The buttermilk pancakes were outstanding also loved the egg and sausage sandwich, delicious!

Amazing!! We ordered the cheddar beignets, pasta bolognese and fried chicken and they were both incredible. Highly recommended!

Never been to this place before, trying to celebrate our early Valentines. Made this reservation. Got there. Had to seat by the streets, where cars passing by. Was raining. Tho there was a table outside the restaurant, not the side street. People 2 tables. One person with stroller was sitting there with no reservation. Another person sitting on the other table with the dog, not a customers. We end up sitting by the street side, with the heater. Husband and I got up and left, went somewhere else. Pretty sad how customer service, host could not prioritize people with reservations. I could understand that we eat outside, but wow poor help.

Braise us is our favorite restaurant.

Food was creative, fresh and service outstanding. Chef graciously accommodated a special dietary request. Unique and fun drink menu.

Braise is mine and my husbands’s favorite spot. The food, cocktails, and service are always great and the music is always on point!

Loved the special “breakfast for dinner” menu! It was such a special treat to get out and have a date night. Every dish was tasty and filled with fresh ingredients.

Great fresh food. Service was slow, from ordering to even receiving our check took a while. But we’ll
be back and hope that improves.

So far I haven’t had a meal I didn’t like! Great variety. Becoming one of our usual spots!

The PB&J is the reason to come to this place. Don't leave without trying it.

To be fair to the Ambience and Noise Level rating, with COVID rules here in CA we were sitting outside on the sidewalk which is not normal.

God tier; amazing service, cocktails, gnocchi, and the flan was out of this world!

Braise is always great, it’s one of our favorite restaurants. The food is always great and the fried chicken is one of our favorites, can’t go wrong with anything.

They made us feel safe by taking temperatures, spreading us out at tables (outside). The cocktails were fantastic. Food was good-nothing horrible, nothing to write home about. Would recommend for cocktails and apps or desserts.

What great dining during COVID 19 ... we started off with a lemon drop martini ... we asked for two straws as we wanted to try it ... what a surprise when the drink was delivered the bartender put the drink in two glasses! Drink went down very smoothly... ordered their delicious cheese beignets and PB the steak prepared to perfection and the pork chop(a bit spicy for our taste; we scraped the topping;)we finished off with the pot de creme and fresh pressed coffee! We were celebrating a birthday and one dessert was on the house ... much appreciated! What made the night was our exceptional waiter(sorry I cannot remember his name) ... we will definitely be back ... BFH

So glad we discovered Braise. Saw them featured on PBS's "Check Please - Bay Area". So good. We highly recommend.

Josh and his staff look after your needs at every turn. Josh and his chef are consistently exploring what's fresh and updating the menu. The food is alway fresh and tasty.
This is our go to place to eat in Willow Glen.

Braise is my favorite restaurant in the San Jose area. I'd put it ahead of Orchard City, The Table, Black Sheep, and other similar spots--all of which I really like. The food and drinks are always excellent, and the menu is always fresh and innovative. Can't recommend it highly enough.

Great neighborhood restaurant. The menu changes seasonally and the food is always superb. Favorite this time were the herbed crepes featuring fresh local tomatoes. New sidewalk dining is cozy.

Good drinks but food is just average and way overpriced

Made a reservation that was confirmed by OpenTable, but the restaurant was closed.

I love Braise! Theo blistered shishito peppers are amazing, the burger is always a great choice, the drinks are wonderful, and the staff is top knotch. Favorite restaurant in San Jose.

We had a fantastic time. The dishes and drinks were unique and wonderfully prepared. We will definitely be back.

Everything was fabulous! From the cocktails to the dessert. Our server was very personable and knowledgeable. One minor critique - the panna cotta had a bit too much gelatin - it should be a little looser. And I wish the stools at the high tops were high chairs - two hours on those stools is a bit hard to take.

No matter my experience, the cheddar beignets will keep me coming back every time.
Service was friendly, if a little off on their timing, bringing out the main course before our salad.
Ambiance is pleasant, but dampened by flickering lights (we were told this was a regular occurrence and just a result of the building’s power supply) and the high top stools. Nothing about stool seating makes me want to enjoy my meal at a leisurely pace. I’m too focused on finishing my food so I can get out of there and soothe my poor back.
Overall, still a good experience. Would go back but would request a normal table.

Drinks were good, service was good and we had appetizers and snacks with friends.
