Missing vegan options, other than sides. The food and ambiance were great for Mother's Day brunch. My 6-year old nephew joined us and he loved the burger.
Beautiful patio area in the back of the hotel. Unfortunately, the food was just so so, bread was barely toasted, and the sandwich was not even warm.
The food was really bad. Some servers seriously rude on Mother’s Day. That was just a no no!!!!
Smaller portions is to be expected with a higher end restaurant but this was on the ridiculously small side. $30 for 3 scallops, a dollop of purée and 2 tiny fingerling potatoes is not worth the price. The pasta was a decent size but still not worth the cost in my opinion. The server was kind but not very attentive- the location was pretty though.
Good food and service was great! My wife and I were celebrating our first wedding anniversary as well as Mother’s Day weekend. This dinner made it great!
We had an incredible dining experience. The staff was very accommodating and the meals were fabulous. I would highly recommend this restaurant.
Such a pretty restaurant. The light look so pretty lit up at night. The food was delicious and the wine options were greay
The food is simply amazing and the staff is equally amazing. However. If you look a day younger than 35 please be ready JUDGED IMMEDIATELY upon your arrival by the guests of this establishment.
Our server was great. Also food was wonderful. Will definitely return on our next visit to SLO.
Excellent food and ambiance, attentive and knowledgeable service staff
Overpriced and small portions. Menu is also small. Not what I remember when I went there awhile ago. Was disappointed
We loved their food. From dinner to brunch. We had the duck chillaquiles and French toast for brunch. It’s new in their menu for spring. Stop by and try them out. You won’t regret eating it besides the calories (maybe?) but it’s so worth it!
Great meal and beautiful setting. A place to share a special evening and enjoy a memorable meal.
Great atmosphere! Food was also very well done. Server was friendly, knowledgeable, and well trained in wine service.
We were their for Sunday brunch. The food was delicious. Everyone in our party ordered something different and everyone loved their meal. We will definitely go back.
Our server Craig was excellent. He recommended a brilliant glass of Cab that was worth the hefty price tag. The California Onion soup was a delicious as imagined. The only underwhelming dish was our burger...the concept is interesting, but it was a bit too decadent (and perhaps overcooked) for our tastes. Still, an excellent early date night, and we even got ourselves a piece of pecan pie to take home. If you haven't dined on Brasserie SLO's Fig Tree Patio yet, you should...it's lovely! :)
Beautiful, modern atmosphere with well executed food that has commitment to local sources and sustainability. Better integration and knowledge transfer between front and back of house would have elevated experience to something more special.
Food prep underwhelmed... probably working through Covid restart
Ate in the patio. Nice feel. Excellent service. Food was good to great. Great bartender and wine list.
The staff were so nice and accommodating. Welcomed our dog. Food was wonderful and delivered quickly. Highly recommend!!
Hot on patio. No shade at our table. I air staff was friendly but often seemed confused.
Willie was super helpful and I always like that they make their own fruit preserves!
The Brasserie at Hotel Cerro has been a great experience both times that I've been. The Rib Eye was incredible. The flat breads are incredible. THe knife and fork burger was an indulgence that was very worth it. I'm going to go back and try other things that I haven't yet tasted. Excellent food and presentation. It's truly a treat to experience fine dining in downtown SLO. I recommend the back patio dining area.
Great mushroom soup! We enjoyed our meal & service.
The food, service, and ambiance was outstanding.
Had been dying to try Brasserie SLO since it opened, and the experience was worth the wait! We split the grilled octopus, mushroom soup, and sautéed scallops (all perfectly prepared, and gorgeous on their plates). Best part was the ambience on the Fig Tree Patio! Had so much fun, we sampled the dessert pastries (also brilliant). We will definitely be back!
Excellent place for dinner. The burger was phenomenal. The scallops are crazy delicious.
Everything was excellent. The fried calamari was cooked perfectly and tender. The mushroom soup was like velvet with amazing flavors. The scallops were incredibly tender. The vegetable risotto was flavorful and cooked to perfection. The chicken on top of the beans was fall off the bone tender and so flavorful. Our desserts were rich and full of flavor. The chocolate tart was thick and had a deep chocolate flavor. The espresso Crema brûlée was smooth with a perfect crisp top that tasted like a an Italian espresso.
Lovely restaurant with great food. Salmon was perfectly cooked, kids loved the flatbread pizza and the salted butterscotch ice cream was sensational.
Always wonderful! Food is fantastic, service is great.
Delicious! Service was slow at first but eventually was fixed. We will go back!
Need some variety on the side dishes. Outstanding dinner and the homemade ice cream is great.
Nice outdoor dining setup! We sat in the back patio which was nicely set up and felt like it's always been there, not just for pandemic outdoor dining. Beautiful plants around in a warm atmosphere with tables spaced out appropriately. Though it was a chilly night, we didn't feel it with the multiple fire pits and large umbrellas around. The mushroom soup was amazing. Even one in our group claimed it was the best soup she ever tasted!
Great spread and hospitality. Thanks Bill!
Great atmosphere, food and service, but pricey. Portions could be a little bigger for the price....or, you know, lower the prices a bit. Great place for a special occasion, but too expensive to frequent often.
Our overall experience was good. Our family was visiting our daughter who is attending Cal Poly SLO. We were celebrating our son's birthday at the Brasserie. The restaurant is beautiful and the food was generally very good. However, I was surprise to see their hamburgers were $30 a la carte. The same hamburger was only $15 at lunch time. Our kids said the burgers were amazing, but I really don't think any hamburger is worth $30. After all, it's just a hamburger.
We told the waiter that we were celebrating my son's birthday, so he asked if he could bring us dessert. I said "that would be nice, just vanilla ice cream with a candle would be fine". When the bill arrived, image my surprise when I saw that the waiter had charged us for the ice cream. Although it was only $5, I found it tacky that the restaurant charged me for a birthday dessert. I guess they figured if I was willing pay $30 for a hamburger, then I was dumb enough to pay for a birthday dessert.
Jokes on me.
I didn't expect great food at a hotel restaurant, but everything about this meal was exceptional, including the toastiest outdoor heater I've ever had the pleasure to sit under on a chilly night.
Wonderful vibe in slo with well prepared/tasty dishes. Nice wine by the glass selections and better wine list accompanies a somewhat sparse menu. Caesar salad, seared scallops and salmon were excellent. The downside was an undersized wobbly table and the price. I would return if the menu expands. And if the size of the table does as well
The only complaint I have is that I felt the menu was super limited and I would have liked to have had more options. The atmosphere was delightful and the butter at brunch was way too good. I brought my child and even though they do not have a kids’ menu, it was fine because they had something he could eat. The server came out and brought him a cookie afterward and he loved that. Thanks for making my chunk feel special.
Sunday brunch service was outstanding and I love the atmosphere on both the front and back patios. The brunch salad was average at best, overdressed, and small portion. Side potatoes were okay. Looking at the pomme frites they are likely the better option. Duck confit with eggs was solid and flavorful and would order it again.
